The nationalist character was non-negotiable: only members of the Volksgemeinschaft had a right to be supported by others. Foreigners were unable to exploit the hospitality, resources and high living standards which Germans had created for themselves.

I ask this because films like Metropolis were very red-pilled and national-socialist. (Hitler and Goebbels has cited this as one of their favourite films and attempted to convince Fritz to direct propaganda for them).
I then feel that Hollyjew attempted a takeover of films to attempt to co-opt, subvert or counter the themes and narratives of German Expressionism in Classical Hollywood Cinema. Hollywood imported a lot of these German directors throughout the 30s to create propaganda for the US instead.

A theme often expressed in these films is that this antagonist maliciously subverts a community in the background influencing them into their own destruction until a hero finally manages to determine the cause and destroy their influence. Nosferatu is a great example.
These films were heavily neurotic about the creeping influence of Communism and subversive influence from Zionists and other foreign agents.
