What am I supposed to be seeing here?

Holy fuck this is laughably weak. How could I even enjoy this 4 years ago.

>muh destruction porn

wow, movie is aging badly.

These are 2 literall gods fighting, you'd expect at least a DENT in the ground when he smashed him.

Marvel cancer kids are easily entertained

Well when Hulk smashes him into the ground he literally can't move afterwards so maybe Thor held back because he still thinks of Loki as his brother.

But they aren't gods.

Well I'm not surprised, they're dumb neanderthals. If you want fancy fighting go to Asian gods.

Well, it's not great, but it was such a huge improvement over the previous generations attempts at making cape movies, and now the russo films are heads and tails above the avengers generation of films. So be happy that overall, cape films are actually improving.

>Thoughts?

Whedon's not a very good director, but the fun of seeing threads woven through several movies come together was enough to outweigh some of the bad. In retrospect - especially compared to some of the later efforts - Avengers definitely pales in comparison. And I place that blame on Whedon's shoulders.

>maybe Thor held back because he still thinks of Loki as his brother.

I hate when fanboys over-think simple dumb scenes

>it's not great, but it was such a huge improvement over the previous generations attempts at making cape movies

The Raimi Spider-man movies look way better than this shit

And the Russo Brothers are just as bad but with more glitter

>13 shots
Holy fuck.

But Loki is a wussy trickster god.

I don't see how coming up with a really simple explanation is "over-thinking".

I didn't know "Supergirl" had a crossover episode with the "Thor" movies.

From my Skype friend:
>Look at that shit where he kicks him through the glass
>and then is nowhere near any glass in the next shot

is this how it was actually edited or did someone edit this to make it look worse than it originally did?

holy shit

youtube.com/watch?v=9jqZQWuuaF8

the whole movie is dogshit

I wouldn't call it dog shit because I have seen actually horrible movies but Whedon is a TV guy that somehow got to direct a big budget movie, so of course it's going to look like a tv show.

>older brother beating up his kid brother

nothing wrong here...

Loki might be durable but he's not that strong or good at fighting, heck even Thor isn't particularly good at fighting ANYWAY, this scene wasn't even impressive to anyone when it came out, it's just something else that happened during the fight

Not everyone is bruce lee...

>le a random 5 seconds that aren't particularly entertaining is a reflection of the whole battle

We've said the Avengers looked like a cheap TV show since they started releasing clips before it came out. I can specifically remember the clip of Black Widow being interrogated and she hits a guy with her hair. Sup Forums was shitting all over that.

It was never good.

>I have seen actually horrible movies
Like BvS right, asshole?

the company man in me couldn't resist

>These are 2 literall gods fighting

There's only one God, ma'am, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.

But muh Marvel, muh fun!

Thor was holding back you fucking idiot...

no, like point break remake or dragonheart 3. You know, actually irredeemable movies.

I'd love to know what you think is good

Based Raimi.

DC fans are really butthurt these last few days, what happened?

Actually, unless they were Super dense, All Thor did was push him through some glass and then let him drop to the floor.

>point break remake
don't remind me

>Play the video with this song

is this from a power rangers episode?

And then there's glass again in the last shot when he rolls off the building.

Your friend sounds autistic for actually noticing that.

STAY

DOWN

IF I WANTED IT, YOU'D BE FILTERED ALREADY

How could something this goofy and cheesy be the backbone of Daredevil, something so serious and grim.

Avengers was never technically impressive. Rather, it was emotionally impressive in that it succeeded in getting you invested in all these characters and their crazy world and you finally got to see them team up and put all the pieces together.

As said before... it's like a TV show.

What, because The Avengers is some untouchable cinematic masterpiece? If someone can't appreciate it, they must not like anything!

My opinion on the movie wasn't even the point of that post, it's that people have always known the visuals were terrible. It's not that the movie has aged badly, it just always looked bad.

>t it succeeded in getting you invested in all these characters
Guy, Thor and Loki's dialogue here is high school fiction paper tier.

Shot like a tv show. Fight between gods my ass.

Sounds like standard capeshit dialogue then.

It's either shitty choreography from Marvel or a cgifest from DC
No one wins

You dumb shit.
Loki is a shit fighter, and you wouldn't expect Thor to beat the shit out of him since "he's muh brother"

Is a disgrace. This movie was ranked over other master pieces. You must feel in shame for love this power ranger tribute. (I hate myself for saw it in theater too, this is for youtube)

Whedon doesn't get Thor.

Looking forward to what based Russos will do with him.

>Russos

>giving a shit about magic

>Marvel's internet TV shows have better cinematography than their $100 million feature films

Where in their Cap movies is magic relevant?

My point is that they handle their characters much better than Whedon did. Vision had a more interesting storyline in CW than Thor had in both Avengers movies.

If you're going to respond wth more meme arrows don't bother.

I enjoyed Vision more in AoU honestly. One of the few things Whedon didn't fuck up.

Do you think Whedon brought in his own action chroeographers or if he used Marvel/Disney's?

>MUH CIVIL WAR IS A MODERN CLASSIC
No.

>I had to bing that

>>MUH CIVIL WAR IS A MODERN CLASSIC
Who the fuck is saying that you sperg?

fucking joss whedon can't direct fight scenes

bruh

>so maybe Thor held back because he still thinks of Loki as his brother.

Except he didn't. For what little semblance of development Thor had, it was that he had to get over any mollycoddling he would've had for Loki and actually be willing to kill him if needs be. It was kinda thrown at us in the Thor and Fury conversation.

>What are you asking me to do?
>What I'm asking is what are you prepared to do?

It's actually reaffirmed in Thor 2.

>But you should know when we fought eachother in the past, I did so with only a glimmer of hope that my brother was still in there, somewhere. That hope no longer exists to protect you. You betray me, and I will kill you.
