Gay Comics

Does Sup Forums read lesbian/gay focused comics?

Ones that aren't just porn.

no
I also don't read vegetarian comics

are you implying that you're straight so you wouldn't read a comic about gays even if it was well-written

I don't really care about the race/sexuality/gender/whatever of the characters as long as the comic is well written.

What's the point in reading fiction if you can only read stuff with people that are the same as you? I usually find it interesting to read about people with a different life experience than me (like I don't know, teams with characters that come from different backgrounds or countries for example). Again, as long as it's well written, a lot of comic book writers don't really know how to write minorities without coming off as incredibly preachy. If we're talking about comics with gay characters, I thought the latest Midnighter was really good and the character was portrayed well.

It's not like I wouldn't read a good looking comic because gays but I can't think of many "gay focused" comics that have caught my eye, or at all for that matter.

>I don't really care about the race/sexuality/gender/whatever of the characters as long as the comic is well written.
This.
I don't read lesbian/gay comics.
I read good comics that happens to have homosexuals characters in them.
Because comics that makes one aspect of the characters a major marketing point often make the narrative suffer in the process.

The only comic I can remember that was really focused on the specificities of its cast was Serenity, but it would still have been very enjoyable if it was about bengali or whatever instead of christian teenagers (with a few adjustments).

MIDNIGHTER

...

Haven't read it, but Steve Orlando has another comic with a gay protagonist too

So was that girl revealed to be gay or something?

nah their gay

Go get a Roomie, anyone?

Namesake?

None that I can recall atm

O Human Star
Its a webcomic and currently the best LGBT comic I've read. Check it out. you won't regret it.

The Boy In the Pink Earmuffs is so cute.

I've also read:

>Shadoweyes (superhero comic with lgbt themes)
>Jem and the Holograms (the protagonist is straight but it's lgbt inclusive)
>Sarah and Jane... or whatever it was called. It's on The Duck.
>Yu+Me Dream (don't read that please)
>Khaos Komix
>OP's comic, though I never read that much
>Jughead (well, he is asexual)
>Mr Normal (cringe comedy trans comic)
>Trans-egeneration
>Trans Girl Comics

I used to read The Princess as well. It's too preachy and SJW for most of Sup Forums though. I've read some other trans comics as well. I know there's this one with a selkie, another with some depressing goth kids, and some other slice of life ones.

Are they good? I don't really care about anything else.
Don't like it when something tries too hard to pander to me.

>ones that aren't porn

What's the point?

Really enjoyed Virgil, the coloring in that book was very nice.

Make Sup Forums Straight Again!

Yes, she actually has the hots for the very lesbian neighbor chick they're talking about. Though, I think as of the latest issue where she was just outed to her parents by a friend, she still denies it and the parents believe her and blame the neighbor girl for coming on to their daughter and don't recognize they actually have mutual feelings.

I'm reading 52 right now
I read Gotham Central a few weeks ago
Where's my award

Whenever I see this thread here I like to invite any interested anons to come visit /wcg/ on /lgbt/. The board itself is shit, but our webcomics general is considerably less so!

>That parent's dialogue
Too real.
Too too real.

THIS.
His Grindr profile gives me life.

> Daughter has thong showing under low cut tights
> "We raised them right"

Those are boy-attracting clothes so it's okay.

...

These parents have also gone on record for saying "We're not mad that you were cheating, we're punishing you because you were stupid enough to get caught."

Middy isn't really gay-focused, though. His passion for murdering bad guys in excessively violent, gruesome manners kinda overshadows any other aspect of his character.
