I've never had a problem with other Europeans.
However when I was a headhunter/recruitment consultant working for technology in the finance industry it pissed me off how all the banks and hedge funds would only hire people from a top 10 university - and since the whole EU was open to them they took people from ANY top 10 EU university. This meant that when I had a decent graduate from a British university that wasn't in the top 10 I literally couldn't help him get a job because none of our clients gave a shit about him. Thousands and thousands of candidates still sit in my old database, utterly useless. Most of them are probably still unemployed.
So I'm torn about EU immigration. On the one hand, its good to have more white, christian/European cultured people coming here rather than brown/muslim people. On the other hand, they quite literally do take our jobs, making it harder for anyone from builders to computer scientists to make it in the job market. It's not a right wing catchprase, it's reality.
