New low-skill jobs will appear to satisfy the excess supply of workers, just like what's happened after every other technological advance in human history.

People will be even more bored than they are now.
Sure there's the argument that people will have more time to invest in other areas, but how long until those get automated too? Not even that, but most people spend their new free time watching TV, playing games, or chatting on social media. With automation comes an era of boredom.

more welfare will be required to calm down angry population. The entire system will collapse unless we switch to a different regime not based on consumerism.

slavery to the state

Then the low skilled have to skill the fuck up.

I'll still have job security.

>jobs magically appear when workers need them

first post worst post

You were born just in time for robo communism, comrade.

Race war

Fuck you. Protectrons and Securotrons gonna replace your useless ass.

This. The most popular job is most US states is truck, delivery, and tractor drivers, when they get replaced literally no significant amount of new jobs will be created.

you'll be unemployed lel

Some form of basic income will arise. Though I suspect corporations will lobby the governments for "training programs", which means they'll get a pool of cheap labor.

The chinks have already automated a bunch of their manufacturing and found that you can't really ever fully automate, at least not in the near future. Human workers are still superior in terms of customization and flexibility.

The automation scare is mostly just that, especially in the West. The only jobs you can really automate here are low-skill repetitive customer service jobs. Delivery is probably the biggest one that will get automated in the near future.

Mass culling of the proletarian class.

You do understand that even if we get automated trucks, there will be some fag sitting inside.

You Finns are fucking autistic.

/r9k/ will stop whinging about being unemployed

automationbucks forever

The fuck? Why would there be? What in the name of kek would he be doing in the truck?

top kek

Have you seen those self driving cars? They don't need anyone inside them for them to operate. Also if those cars actually needed someone inside them for them to operate; then what's the point? Are you retarded?

Not necessarily sitting there but somebody has to take care of the machine. Many people dont know how much maintenance robots need.

Yeah. Like there's no one sitting in a fucking train irrespective of the fact that trains could easily operate without a driver. There will be someone just in case something happens.

Finns are the worst posters.

>Delivery is probably the biggest one that will get automated in the near future.
Automated delivery how? You aren't seriously falling for the drone/self-driving car meme are you? Assuming that even takes off in the first place, it will be decades upon decades before it's a real threat to the delivery industry. You'll notice for instance that mailmen still exist (and still make $20/hr at that) despite email, and you'll notice cashiers are still a thing, even in stores with automated/self-serve checkout. Tech moves fast and all, but you're looking at 50-100 year period before something like "delivery" or "store clerk" is gonna up and vanish. You're in robots-mowing-the-lawn fantasy land.

niggers will revolt. oh wait, thats already happening!

Yeah, maybe now in the current year but technology goes on. There are already fully automated metro systems with 0 active staff, why isnt the same possible with all vehicles?

>There will be someone just in case something happens
If that were the case there would be no reason to replace the workers and automate the cars. If something bad were to happen to an automated car it would be very rare since they'd be perfected before they become commercial use so no reason to have a technician at all times in the cars. Also being a technician isn't exactly what I would call a "low skill job", you mong.

Ideally, the workers would either get better jobs or die off. Unfortunately, what will happen is theft against the productive members of society will increase to feed the parasites.

Not the industry as a whole necessarily, but local delivery, as in paper mail and paper news, is relying on boomers and older gen-Xers. More and more businesses are already relying on e-billing and more and more people are reading their news online. Now nation-wide delivery on goods will still require human recourses as supervisors and maintenance but local isn't as dependent on those things.

Mailmen here make a pittance and even that's due to union jewry. Literally a retard can work a delivery job and it used to be entry-level until loser boomers and gen-Xers took it over.

>and you'll notice cashiers are still a thing, even in stores with automated/self-serve checkout.
Cashiers are definitely getting mostly automated a lot sooner than half a century. In my local supermarket they need 1 supervisor for 8 self-checkouts.

>There will be someone just in case something happens.

This is false.

Ford is working on a steeringwheel-less, pedal-less, fully automatic car that will be ready by 2021.

Google is working on a steeringwheel-less, pedal-less, fully automatic car, and has been for over 4 years.

What your saying is completely false.

Stop being in denial. It's already happening.

ffffffffffffffffffff...
THIS

"iCommunism" as i once read on a banner at a rally.
Comfy, Universal yet free/voluntary, wholesome, awesome.

>this post isn't satire there actual class cucks who think like this

Machines will never be able to replicate the dexterity and versatility of the human hand.

See you in hell or in communism baby

Low skill jobs don't actually go first.

This is a misconception.

It is easier to make a doctor AI than to make a plumber robot.

Siri will diagnose your cancer long before a robot comes to your house to fix your plumbing.

This is because robotics development goes much, much slower than AI development.

The real question is :

What do we do when intelligence based jobs are wiped out by superior AI

Rebellion.

you dumb niggers will have to get learnt. Simple as that

>not wanting to have your money stolen is being a cuck but wanting to have your money stolen isn't

Sure

I agree, they cant replicate it, they can surpass it by miles. Look at the davinci surgery robot.
