The absolute state of Finnish food

>mfw all the best "Finnish" dishes are actually Swedish
and I'm completely fine with this. Swedish cuisine is underrated af.

go sleep swede

My boy Ramsay going IN on finland.

I actually want to try this

YOU SAY NO MORE

ever since prisma closed I lost all access to obscure Finnish products
f

Wtf you had prisma in Lithuania?

for a couple of years but they were all massive stores in obscure parts of towns so I guess not enough people went there

This seems to be a common trend, Russians lost their access to valio products

That's a shame. Prismas here at least are Lidl-tier cheap without shitty kraut products.

Norrland isn't really Sweden.
Down south we just eat them pickled

...

look good

All your good food comes from us pekka

Oh so we didnt eat anything before the crusades?

No thanks

Try again, sweety ;)

Simo Häyhä got his face btfo so this could exist.

Yes we did. We ate delicious food like bark bread.

SAILOR'S STEW

...

>not seafood

It contains beer. Sailors are drunk.

>scandi food
>good
>EVER
user pls

My family have been bark bread purists for centuries.

Does anyone have those pictures of strips of meat in like a fast food beverage cup? Been trying to find them for ages.

What would an American know about Scandi food..?

nothing, we never eat game meat here either

People can travel and read, Sven.

Swedish pizza. The toppings are the ingredients of a dish called flygande Jacob “Flying Jacob”. It from the 70s.

That picture is taken from a school I go to, I can tell.

Tourists don't eat what natives eat other than some exotic sounding dishes, like reindeer and moose. As for reading, it can be very deceptive. A savory cake made out of bread sounds a bit off-putting for sure, when in reality it's actually quite good.

Voileipäkakku is god tier

Is this smörgås kakorn or some shit in swedish
>smörgås
>butter goose

wtf sweden

The food is just bland. Meat and potatoes, rye, lots of mayo...it's not *horrible*, but It's not great either.

Smörgåstårta.

>butter goose
I'm sure most languages have words that are really weird if you dissect them.

It's quite obvious that you're just regurgitating what you've heard others say.

I'm not...

I have a finnish cookbook that a local woman wrote. I've made Finnish Christmas shurikens and some kind of bishop pepper cookies :D

Invented hundreds of thousands of years B.C. in Finland

how fortunate the swedes happened along ten thousand years later and introduced more methods of cooking

Cooking is a meme. Basically you need some game, fish, berries, mushrooms, then some cereals, porridge, bread, some pea soup. All the faggy ornamental shit is for jaded aristos.

omg whats that? raspberry ham with a shit ton of earwax?

>ham
jam

>Finnish Christmas shurikens

Joulutorttu :DD

>northern european cuisine

Hmm?

>Fermented fish is an old staple in European cuisines. The oldest archeological findings of fish fermentation are 9,200 years old and from the south of today's Sweden.

Howy shiit

makes you hungry doesnt it, alejandro?

Sounds about right.
Most of that looks good at best, nothing groundbreaking. Aside from the cheese xDD
