Trolls looks fun.

I agree, the animation is really top notch too; gorgeous shit.

...

Those TEXTURES, god damn

Katie Crown's voice fills me with joy.

Whatever Laika makes next.

>THIS YEAR

That was actually pretty fucking good.
Also I'll honestly see just about anything with Anna Kendrick in it, soooo...

Honestly don't know what to make of this.
All the stork stuff looks interesting, but the stuff with the little family seems generic as fuck.

Like a studio believed that Americans view the stork the same way we view Santa Claus or something.

I unno, might be good.

Oh, right. Fuck all then.

I'm not sure I like Sony ripping cloudy /w meatballs art style as their token look. I mean, that sort of look and fast smash-cutty reaction face stuff worked for Phil lord and Chris Miller cause it was their jam, since clone high. In this all I could think about during the trailer is like "this looks like cloudy but will be so much worse because no Phil and Chris"

SS2 comes out this year?

>Storks deliver babies...or at least they used to. Now they deliver packages for global internet giant Cornerstore.com.

Is it me or has there been a little undertone in media lately encouraging people to have kids?

In the west probably what with aging populations, declining birth rates, and rising gayness.

That's weird, when I visited the states almost other woman I saw in their late 20s-early 30s was visibly pregnant.

In places like Japan they have the low birth rates and all, but we have a serious overpopulation problem worldwide anyway.

*almost every other

But yeah it's creepy as hell to me.

In all seriousness, are you sure they weren't just fat women?

>When I visited the states.

N-no, user.. They were just fat.

Her lack of porn angers me.

The US actually does still have a decent amount of babies, even white people. Certainly a lot more than Europe.

Uh, user, about that...

Are you gonna do something about it user?

Nope. All of them were tall and slightly hourglass-shaped as they walked beside their Ken doll husbands.

Visting my dad, he lives in a pretty nice area. The amount of babies being born is nuts - the local kindergarten was even trying to get part of the part turned into a quiet play area so that even more young couples could move into the neighbourhood for the school and spawn.

She reminds me of Lucille Ball.

not even ironic shitposting can save that garbage

Europe's broken, man. And it was broken before ISIS even got to it. I don't know what's going on.

...well, you said upcoming films, so Godzilla Resurgence and Rogue One.

As for Sup Forums related stuff? Moana. It looks pretty good so far, and the Mouse has been on a roll lately.

In a general sense or do you want specifics?

>redhead
>always curly-haired and green-eyed

Redheads are uncommon but that combination is even more uncommon - I'm getting real tired of it being the "default" design-wise. Feels pretty lazy.

Resurgence is already out in jap tho, and if you're like me the story isn't important, it's the godzilla fucking shit up that is

>white people having children

If we don't watch this, does that mean WB animation is kill?

Eh, for me it makes the movie more enjoyable when I know what the hell's going on. I mostly want to see Godzilla destroy stuff, but I also kind of want to understand what's going on in the background, partly because I want to see how they react to Godzilla destroying stuff and partly because I know they'll come up with some new scheme to beat Godzilla and I want to know how that worked.

Fair enough, but the stories can be hit and miss. I can't remember exactly but IIRC the Mothra one was good

Which one, the original, GMK, the one with Battra, one of the others? Or do you mean one of the Mothra Leo trilogy movies?

Original. Haven't seen any of the others but I have them

There all pretty good, GMK is actually one of the few films where Godzilla is straight up evil, and genuinely menacing, while Battra actually focuses more on Mothra and her more violent counterpart, as well as their backstory. As for the Mothra Leo trilogy...well, it pretty much has almost nothing to do with Godzilla and stars a male Mothra, but it's actually fairly decent, if kind of cheesy. It also has King Ghidorah's cousin as the main villain of the second movie. Okay, they're not actually cousins, but their backstory is pretty much the same, and aside from a different color scheme and having four legs he's pretty damn similar in appearance to Ghidorah.

youtu.be/hNeDYFb8ifA?t=113

Has animation gone too far?

I mean hey, an appeal to Godzilla and similar properties is the cheesiness at times. If Minilla wasn't as goofy, people probably wouldn't watch it as much

Moana.

I know its going to be generic, but there's literally nothing else left.

Moana, if nothing else the Pacific Islander theme might get us some nice Leeds drawn.

>Wanting kids
Maybe I'm just a selfish asshole, but I'll never understand this.

I remember hearing about how south korea had an over population problem back in the 40-50s so they made programs to stifle population growth. It worked so well that the government is trying to reverse it or else their population will be gone in like 200 years. Maybe like people are afraid that this shit might be happen here or else where.

Also what other examples are there? I don't recall seeing anything related to this trend.

Same answer for them, selfish assholes want to leave something after they die and making babies is the easiest thing.

Not Storks.
>"Birds can't see glass!"
>spelling it out because they think the audience is stupid

Not Trolls.
>narration that goes "This is me, this is where I live, this is other people I know"
>always signals a bad movie

Not Moana.
>trailers say nothing
>Disney
>Disney Formula

As for what I am looking forward to? Absolutely nothing.

As much as I love animation I take this approach every time. Expect nothing and form your opinion from there.

Led to some nice results. Didn't think I'd like Zootopia or Kubo and I totally did. And when my early warning system was confirmed with other movies, no feelings hurt.

>Official Synopsis
>From the creators of Shrek comes the most smart, funny, irreverent animated comedy of the year, DreamWorks' Trolls. This holiday season, enter a colorful, wondrous world populated by hilariously unforgettable characters and discover the story of the overly optimistic Trolls, with a constant song on their lips, and the comically pessimistic Bergens, who are only happy when they have trolls in their stomach. Featuring original music from Justin Timberlake, and soon-to-be classic mash-ups of songs from other popular artists, the film stars the voice talents of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand, James Corden, Kunal Nayyar, Ron Funches, Icona Pop, Gwen Stefani, and many more. DreamWorks' TROLLS is a fresh, broad comedy filled with music, heart and hair-raising adventures. In November of 2016, nothing can prepare you for our new Troll world.
why does Dreamworks feel so desperate in here?

Moana...That's it. I know Sup Forums wise Koe no Katachi is getting a movie but that's not very Sup Forums relevant.

I still need to see Finding Dory but I presume it'd be wiser at this time to wait for a home release rather then see it in theatres. Same with Kubo. I don't get to see movies more than maybe once a year and I want to see Moana asap.

Shrek made and continues to make mad money for Dreamworks, but that money's drying up. The movies declined after 2 and they spend a bunch of money hiring big name voice actors and promoting the IP wherever they can, but they're not getting the returns they should be getting. If they could do Shrek again, it's estimated that it would make close to a billion in revenue by today's cinema standards. Trolls is familiar in the monsters and fairytales vein to Shrek and will share in vulgar humour and slapstick, but it probably won't have the heart that put Shrek above being a crude jokes animated movie.

Kung Fu Panda, Hotel Transylvania 2, Shrek 3 and 4, Bridget Jones's Baby, What to Expect When You're Expecting, Baby Mama. Just a couple of things I keep seeing and now a Storks movie. I wonder if this media actually encourages people to have kids?

Kubo's amazing, Dory depends on your take on Finding Nemo, I've seen mixed reactions from people who loved and didn't like Finding Nemo to finding Dory.

Coming out tomorrow

Theres probably enough cut footage it would only take them a few months to fill in the gaps.

>twerking teaser
That's a huge turn off right there.

Most of the babies are from poor stupid people having so many kids and living off the government. I swear Idiocracy is starting to become real. We don't need to encourage babies we need to start restrictions.

>1/4 of this actually talks about the movie
>the rest is trying too hard to promote special guests and buzzwords
yeesh

>I swear Idiocracy is starting to become real.
It's less real than it was ten years ago, trust me on that.

I hate when cynicism is out of touch with reality. Like when people complain about RAMPANT CRIME RATES but then it turns out violent crime is the lowest it's been for decades even in notorious shitholes like Chicago.

Moana

I swear, I will make that water my wife.

>I hate when cynicism is out of touch with reality.

You must be having a hard time in Sup Forums then.

This cannot be said often enough. At least stupid people have the decency to admit they're stupid. Being smugly pretentious and wrong should be a crime.

You mean SHITcago?

I definitely want to see Storks for Katie Crown's performance. I think I saw that she got the role from doing placeholder dialogue and the people behind it loved it so much they gave her the role. That's pretty cool. Also, I was a big fan of Izzy from Total Drama so seeing and hearing her voice in something this big is excellent too.

It's a Warner Bros movie
Phil & Chris made the LEGO Movie for them and now they're on the studio "brain trust"
They got out of Sony as quickly as they could, it's not a great place to work
I have to imagine Genndy only sticks around because they pay him a lot

She's many characters on Clarence and has written a bunch of episodes too
She has a lot of range, I'm glad they gave a role to an actual voice actor for once

zootopia 2.

may not come out this year, but it wont feel like the year has passed until it comes out

Kubo already came out, so nothing else.

I love taking care of my little siblings, I am good with kids, and really understand how it's so important to give time, understanding, lessons, right food, etc to kids.

But I will never have kids on my own. You really need the right mind frame and money for them. They take up a lot of space in your life. I will never understand people who don't think about what it takes to have a child, but have kids anyway.

Shin Godzilla

You're in luck. I watched it a few nights ago and it's a pretty good movie. Feel free to ask me stuff about it.

No thanks, I want to experience it for myself. But where did you watch it? Are you in Japan?

whos shhe

Sausage Party Director's Cut

Mostly I want to know if I'll be able to ship the stork guy and the girl in that movie.

Don't question me, I already know I'm a degenerate.

why did they give him such a shit design?

Same.

Also looking forward to Gigantic after that. I really like when Disney does fairytale and folklore stuff best so Zootopia and Big Hero Six didn't appeal to me as much, and I'm excited to see Moana and Gigantic finally coming up.

So am I the only person here right now that knows/cares that Cartoon Saloon has a movie coming up this coming year?

>zootopia 2.

really? that wasn't even a movie, that was a social commentary, you can't make sequels to that.

The director said one of his biggest regrets about Zootopia was losing Wild Times a sequel would be a great opportunity to put it in.

Sup Forums will never truly care about independent Sup Forums related media unless you force it down the boards throat, or you can wait a few years for threads to pop up about how nobody ever talked about it when it was released

>it actually looks good

What the hell, when did this happen

they put so much work in because it was the only not depressing thing from the "original" plot. forget about it.

I was absolutely uninterested in this movie, but I laughed way too much at this trailer
