You missed two issues.
They're in limbo and they're all already dead, dying again doesn't stick, but sometimes it does. Saul found Dodji and killed him to prove that. The red cairns the monkeys were building surrounded an area of town where a tower made of bugs appeared. Alexander and Selene (the two creepies kids) said that the Markstad kids were responsible for all of this shit and tried to kill them, Selene got eaten by the monolith and Alexander ran away.
