>When it was announced that a Booster Gold movie was in development with Greg Berlanti (The Flash and Supergirl) rumored to be directing, fans figured it must be a given that our golden hero would be a part of the DCEU. Well, according to Berlanti, that's not going to be the case.
>"As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds. It'd be a separate thing," Berlanti said while talking to Vulture.
Thoughts?
John Ramirez
Since it's Berlanti, is there any chance he's putting Booster in the Arrowverse?
Hunter Foster
Maybe WB will stay away and it'll be good then.
Connor Gutierrez
DCEU: Its all connected, except when its not.
Nicholas Reyes
WB won't allow it.
Alexander Gray
It will be shit like Catwoman and Jonah Hex then without any value that being part of the DCEU could have given
Mason White
>Berlanti. >Not DCEU. Thank God!
Dylan Cox
>Berlanti >Booster Gold >"Won't Have Any "Connective Tissue" To The DCEU"
Nigga lying out of his ass
David Bennett
inb4 "Berlanti has exited the project due to creative differences"
Ryan Martinez
what's the point of booster gold without ties to the rest of the dc? half of his gimmick is that he is from the future and knows all the heroes and events
Andrew Long
This is really going to confuse the fuck out of people in terms of what is and isnt within DCEU. Same goes with Shazam. Just fucking reboot or connect it WB
Logan Barnes
>Being part of the DCEU >Having any value at all
Jeremiah Collins
lame
Cameron Nelson
Glad to see they're trying a Green Lantern movie again. Hope they bring Reynolds back.
Kayden Kelly
REEE BOOOOOT!
Matthew Bailey
Boosters entire shtick is that he is connected to DC. It's hard to write a man from the future going back in time to be a hero without having any previous heroes to make him do so.
Justin Price
>As of right now we have no connective tissue to those worlds
>worlds
Non-Snyderverse DC connections now please
Jace Gray
>We can't do it. >Let's just give up.
Evan Ramirez
yfw DCEU is getting rebooted
Nolan Wood
>Rebooted >Not fixed
Just think, Snyder-verse was because of some problem in the past that Booster has to fix. Pa Kent wasn't supposed to tell his invincible son to go away.
William Price
Affleck is a solid Batman. Cavill, theoretically, could be a great Superman.
These are the only remotely redeeming things about the DCEU. The rest is trash.
Jaxson Williams
>thanking your imaginary friend
Austin Johnson
They're not giving a fuckign CW deadbeat his own movie, nevemind his own rules in his own little universe, this is never getting greenlighted.
Ian Price
You got lost on your way to Reddit?
Carter Richardson
it can be there in our hearts. SOMEWHERE OUT IN SPACE.
Daniel Bennett
Just saying, there are real people you can thank for this, people who, you know, exist in reality rather than fantasy.
David Lopez
>These are the only remotely redeeming things about the DCEU. The rest is trash. What else is there? Currently the entire DCEU revolves around Superman and Batman. If you fix their dynamic, and add some levity, then everything will be fine. Justice League seems to be fixing to do both of those things.
Brody Hernandez
Well, their histories are fucked to begin with.
If you're going to fix things, you need a clean slate. Snyder already ruined the brand with his boring edginess.
And lets be honest here, the idea of an old Batman is dumb as fuck when we're literally starting off a new universe here.
Jordan Richardson
>Berlanti Some one stop this madman
Christian James
It's a perfect opportunity to reference Christopher Reeves Superman.
Xavier Williams
I may not have seen either of those movies (Hex I just never got around to it while Catwoman's reputation iis infamous) but I dont think connecting to anything would have helped them in any possible way. If anything they would bring everything about 2 steps down with them.
Noah Lee
It's already confirmed that Shazam will take place in the DC movie continuity.
Hunter Rogers
That sounds fucking awful. Not the part about it not being connected to the DCEU, but Berlanti being involved.
Camden Moore
I'm still angry at the Jonah Hex movie. Jesus Christ every original issue was a movie script in it's own right. HOW can you fuck that up
Thomas Sanchez
It more comes across that DC has given up on what Marvel has been doing. They're still going ahead with a shared universe for their movies, but don't seem to want to bother to tie all their properties together.
That said, it's not like Marvel has all of their IPs tied together in the MCU either since Iron Man, but that's probably more due to them having their movie rights owned by other companies over anything else.
