i dont know why but that shouldnt have killed him
the gold wouldnt burn through the skull to reach the brain

Reddit as fuck meme, but I browse r/asoiaf regularly for book discussion, so I don't mind.

It would cook the brain.

When you learn about the irl inspiration you start to realize GoT is a poor imitation of history with pornographic imagery and magic.

His brain, obviously.

for you

It was Lower Valyrian gold :^)

The pot also would be glowing yellow at that temperature.

They were using PlotCharcoal(tm) as a fuel source

Imagine the outrage if this had happened in one of the newer seasons. You faggots who didn't mind back then would be bitching nonstop

You obviously havent been here very long if you forget that everyone bitches for about a week then forgets as soon as the next Dabid memes come along

Moron

lol, I just noticed this again on rewatch yesterday and actually looked up the melting temperature of gold.

That temp would vaporize any stew ingredients you put in there.

gold

Shouldnt alloys melt at a lower temperature than pure gold? Im sure it wasnt just pure gold theybwere melting.

Why didn't Drogo just poison the gold before he poured it on Viserys' head?

There were plenty of people who called this out back then. A fucking gold belt in a pot above a campfire will not melt. The difference between the belt melting and armies being transported and travelling faster than information is that the belt in the fire is of little plot significance and you are able to suspend your disbelief for something so minor

How badass would it have been if he had survived that with "muh Targaryen dragon blood" and he went through the rest of the series with gold on his head?

Gold is measured in karats depending on its purity, and since pure 24k gold is soft as shit it has to be added to other metals to make it harder. I'm going to assume that Drogo's bling was 10k because that's the lowest number on this list I found. Even at 10k, the temp required to melt the gold alloy would have to be 960 Celcius, which is still way too fucking hot to cook food with

Wow you're fucking really dumb kid.

>Wow. You are really fucking dumb, kid.
Ftfy

The heat cooked his brain

Targaryens aren't fireproof though, it's literally only Dany in one specific case. GRRM made sure to mention Targaryen kings who burned to death before, including one idiot who set himself on fire because he thought it would let him turn into a dragon.

>blah blah blah blah I have autism

great contribution user

they were cooking Dany's plot armor

Someone had a hard on for the story how a Spanish guy was killed with molten gold down his throat and wanted to put a twist on it. I honestly don't see the big deal out of it since season 1 had way more unbelievable stuff happen

What were his final thoughts?

Thats what I thought was going to happen when I read the book

And what exactly are you contributing? Fuck all, that's what

So what did they do with the body? Don't tell me they just fucking dumped it. Some guy had to have peeled off the gold so that they could use it again

get a brain moran

Why? Valyrians are not white. Eastern swine.

Not to mention the jewelry turned liquid in 30 seconds

>ow this hurts
