Who's your favorite director?

Who's your favorite director?

polanski

Death. The director of all of our lives.

Stop forcing this shit, faggot.

I guess Lynch or maybe Kurosawa
REALLY makes me think

For real ?

Makes sense, his sexuality fits /tv after all.

Is he /ourguy ?

The only thing that's being "forced" are the blind masses who are being forced to care about a life that has no meaning nor reason.

Ridley Scott

>inb4 muh Prometheus and muh Covenant

Only his 2 last movies were shit, and the visuals are still great.

Why do the jews snub him so much?

if life has no meaning then there is no reason to interrupt our discussion about tv and movies for high school nihilism

I'm here for the Rick and Morty generals. I just get distracted by all the idiocy.

> Scorcese

/ourguy/ Refn

this has to be a joke

Kubrick, PTA, Scorsese, solondz in that order

what is the counselor, gi jane, a good year, body of lies etc.

>Solondz

nice user, its a shame his films are discussed more around here

Jeff Nichols

He has this amazing grasp on Americana and how to make the world feel real, not just "alive" like in many other movies. Shotgun Stories is literally just a movie about people with common sense not killing each other and is carried by the setting alone which Nichols somehow breathes authenticity into despite a lack of any significant landmarks or use of background characters.

John Milius, John Boorman, Paul Verhoeven, Clint Eastwood, Sergio Leone. My 5 favorites in no particular order.

Kar wai wong
Bresson
Dassin
Lean
Snyder
Cassavetes
Malle
Kurosawa
Huston

and then some

go back

>go back
what's wrong user? apart from Snyder which I put in there as a guaranted replies bait I don't see problem with most of these filmmakers

madmel
