I love you Philip Morris

Reminder that homosexuality is a sin, and fags will burn in Hell for all eternity if they don't repent.

Happy Together

I agree, Mulholland Drive is the best gay kino

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Better than chocolate.

Weekend is pretty realistic, feel easy to relate

Came here to post this, good to see it's the first reply.
Ewan Mcgreggor and Jim Carey "wolf of wall street edition" what more to do I have to tell you.

None. Gay movies will never be kino unless they do something interesting with gay characters. Whiny coming out movies, relationship drama, AIDS drama and boohoo sobfests are about as shallow as actual gay culture is.

Kill yourself faggot

Typical faggot

xavier dolan's movies are what i consider stepping stones from the old gay movies and newer ones
although they're all drama, it's about unrequited love and every gay man can relate to that

The one where you monsters all get AIDS and die in prison.

Mini-series. Doesn't count. Although, it's good stuff. It's a plot that involves a gay man but isn't just, y'know, """"grounded"""" gay guy problems.

Spoken like a fragile delicate ego

better question is what are some gay porn kinos

Enjoy your AZT side effects.

Silence of the Lambs

Any Roxy Red video before he became a tranny. Although I still jack it to his tranny porn when I'm smashed.

Really any emo twink porn is good stuff. But, I'm easy to please.

I almost prefer kissing/caressing than anything else, am I a weirdo?

I mean by default are "gay movies" not inherently about relationships?

Nah I'm the same way.

How the fuck do people here know so many gay movies, goddamn?

Not many may know it but the only thing gay related I know is Queer As Folk (TV Show). That show took me by surprise due to the actual story being pretty interesting. It showed a lot of facettes in gay people's lives and the characters were very down-to-earth. The most enjoyable thing was that the majority of protag gays were not portrayed as some flamboyant dipshits but "regular" men who were gay

I think you can do more interesting movies that have a gay lead is all. It's not to say you can't let the protagonist have a love interest, but I can only see so many bleeding heart gay movies. Everything is so interchangeable. Gay movies are like capeshit.

Boku no pico, yuri on ice

Unironically Brokeback Mountain

La vie d'Adèle

...

I get what you mean. It's also not a movie but I thought the first 2 seasons of Please Like Me were okay even they are just about gay guys problems.

I've never seen it. Commercials or it used to play on Hulu though. Dude looked insufferable.

i love that show but fuck the last season

Josh Thomas is pretty bad but I can tolerant him so I find the show to be OK.

it's just him discovering his sexuality in light comedic way and him getting a bf. I stop watching after s2 because it became a shitty drama after that sadly.

The Imitation Game

Mysterious Skin or

How is Mysterious Skin gay kino?

Where is that tranny porn? I just jack it to his stuff before the transition.

"L'Inconnu du lac / Stranger by the Lake" might not be the best but certainly weird: it's more a thriller than a gay movie tho (~a French "Cruising" sets on a naturist beach).
youtube.com/watch?v=eZWvLh9khVs

You know why.

>cute twinks going trans
Is there a worse thing?

>French
>Cruising

Sounds gross.

came here to post this

Nothing gay about your coach preparing you for adulthood,

There's a few good ones on Netflix. Esteros stands out to me. It's a slow burning romance between two cute Argentinian guys. North Sea Texas is also good. Those People is also decent, but it can occasionally get stereotypical in places.

I remember years ago watching this movie about an old gay guy played by John Hurt falling in love with a young straight guy. I remember enjoying it.

Cloud Atlas is partially gay

Yeah, that's it. I watched it mostly cause John Hurt was in it, but it turned out to be a fun movie. Should watch it again sometime.

I'll give it a watch, thanks user. Argentinian and Chilean guys are super cute

>gay KINO
There is none because homofaggotshit is automatically lower than even Capeshit

>tfw Chilean
how can a random comment like that flatter me

this A single man is goddamned beautiful.
Weekend is p good as well, suggested by the HBO show looking is pretty good as well, don't buy into the hate, it also has a fucking amazing soundtrack

Armond pls go

I dunno. Warhol was a fag and he was pretty embarrassing.

>some straight dude thinks we care what his opinion on gay films are

That's a pretty big conclusion to jump to, man. I'm gay too, I just have a fairly serious disdain for gay culture and the way gay men are portrayed in the media.

It's weird then that you'd try to downplay the difficulty of coming out especially if it's in a community where gay people aren't socially accepted or of the AIDS epidemic which undoubtedly was/is a pretty serious thing

It's like you're embarrassed of these things and want to sweep them under the rug in the pursuit of "normalcy" or something

Call Me By Your Name

what's something you'd like to see? Personally I enjoyed the Agent Meechum subplot in house of cards, that was pretty refreshing, of course he had to go and get killed tho.

They certainly repetitive but I wouldn't call them shallow.

That hasn't come out yet but it looks like it's going to be good. I mostly think this because I just find Armie Hammer to be sexy desu.

I'm not embarrassed by these things. But there are other ways to live. Most people have a shitty coming out experience. I did. I got over it.

AIDS is a serious concern, but we don't need a metric ton of films about it. Start wearing condoms or start admonishing the gay community's promiscuous hookup culture more.

And you can have a little escapism in your fiction too, y'know. Heaven forbid we do a genre picture that stars a gay central character.

I'm not embarrassed because I'm gay, although it seems that's the opinion that a good deal of gay men have towards gays who express even a mildly conservative viewpoint.

I'd honestly just like to see some more variety. I don't necessarily want more representation, just better or more interesting representation.

Any other answer than Blue Is the Warmest Color is wrong

Lesbians aren't gay

>lesbians

>Heaven forbid we do a genre picture that stars a gay central character.
god if only this could be done sensibly, nowadays, whenever i see this done, the character is written so that their gayness is like the central trait of the character. I'd like to see a well written character who just happens to be gay

Honestly it's a recurring thing in media. Gays are present as side characters but are usual total stereotypes with a coming out story and then a relationship. That's it. That's all the storylines they ever get. They can never have problems that go beyond being gay or getting a boyfriend.

I'll admit that I think it's a tricky subject to handle, as much as I want it to happen. Make the character too straight-laced, and you'll have a large amount of people complaining that he's "not gay enough" and things like that. Make him too open about his sexual preference and you'll have people saying the opposite.

I'm attempting to write a novel that's more along the lines of what I want from a story with a gay lead though. So, who knows. Maybe that'll pan out.

The "gay best friend" cliche makes me rage. I was watching the animated version of Batman: The Killing Joke with my boyfriend when it came out last summer. Barbara's sassy gay friend (Who was not in the source material) really irked us both. I mean, it was a shitty adaptation aside his inclusion, but he didn't really help things.

Not really a good example of a gay movie since the main audience is horny men and the girl goes straight in the end.

>Start wearing condoms or start admonishing the gay community's promiscuous hookup culture more.

I mean men will be men. It's not necessarily a hookup culture as much as it's just dudes wanna bang. Like all the time. And so do other dudes. Condoms certainly need to be used more, but at least there's PrEP.

Shame bout that super gonorhea. That's pretty scary.

Adventures of Priscilla

Longtime Companion is AIDS kino. Very sad. Bruce Davison was a very good actor.

Even sadder is a doc called "Silverlake Life: The View From Here" which is almost unwatchable toward the end imho

I thought The Normal Heart was good.

...

I just want a gay romcom where their gayness isn't accentuated. Just a regular movie. I think that'd be excellent. Weekend was a good movie, just minus the com part.

>dishonest lesbian flick
no

How is CIA in Queer as Folk? Wanted to watch it because of him, but I don't know if I can stomach his accent

More like she returns to being straight. Didn't she get with the Spectre chick as a rebound after dating a dude?

Anytime I see anything about gays with AIDS I pray to my Amy Jo Johnson shrine to thank her for ensuring that I'd be straight since toddlerhood

Thank you, (((Saban)))
