Maintenance.

Supervicion

they cant but through some silly jobs program rest assured that we will leave this machine to rust while 19 men are paid to ineffectively do what this machine can

CURVED ROADS

They're gonna have to look for jobs in the bric countries

where were going, we won't need curved roads

...

The machine in the picture requires three operators to work, two of which are actually setting the bricks in place behind it

It's okay, Bruce. It takes a crew of 12 to set the damn thing up and keep it going.

Breaking the machine makes more sense. You'd need a wrecker to remove the broken machine, an engineer to supervise thr mechanic fixing it and some lazy union teamsters to finish up the job while the machine is being fixed. That's at least 4 new jobs right there caused by simple destrction.

Zorg explained the goodness in destruction to me long ago.

kek

>the file name

That a machine requires at minimum 3 workers in order to be operated. Please stop pretending it does all the brick-laying by itself.

youtube.com/watch?v=pjV-XF0DVfM

Exactly, it makes the work faster, because the bricklayers can setup the bricks on the ramp of the machine from a standing position, instead of having to be bent over down on the ground.

youtube.com/watch?v=jkVBg_-OviI

As long as men know how that brick laying machine works they are fine.
As long as women don't know how bricks are made, they shouldn't be allowed to vote.

wtf i love technocracy now

How can women ever compete?

God bless

Ha! Fucking THIS!

My father always told me;
>One day a machine will take my job, be the guy that FIXES that machine.

Now we both work in industrial maintenance.

With their warty roasties.

WOMEN CANT HELP THEMSELVES AROUND

BIG

BRICKLAYING

CONSTRUCTION

roads aren't made of bricks, they're made from asphalt

also three beaners and a dump truck is cheaper than renting an expensive piece of proprietary roadlaying equipment from a big company

This is also the reason why machines can't compete. Maintenance costs tend to be fairly high (as most maintenance people require some form of licensing) compared to min wage or cash-only laborers.

>replace a 50 guys job with one or two machines
>it's somehow ok because 2 guys will be hired for the maintenance

dumb fucking burger cunt, and you'll have the nerve to ask " why is my country only filled with hobo and unemployed fuck? " then...

stop being robophobic

it's called progress

>needing 50 guys to lay a bunch of bricks

French productivity everybody.

A team of 2-4 guys is as fast as the machine in the OP. Those things are INCREDIBLY slow and still need at least 2 guys shoveling bricks into the top of it.

less and less jobs available + quality of life dropping + cost of everything getting higher and higher
really a big progress.

that's what is happening in my shit country, and you'll be next.

Those crazy Germans

>Oh, I thought you were trying to build a canal. If it's jobs you want, then you should give these workers spoons, not shovels. [Reply to the government bureaucrat of one Asian country who told him that, reason why there were workers with shovels instead of modern tractors and earth movers at a worksite of a new canal, was that: "You don't understand. This is a jobs program."]

Soon this Asian country will be France. I predict France will be the first big country to fall, riots in the streets because they want to change it so you don't have 32hr work weeks? I will laugh when the French realize their country's insane taxes have driven away all investment and they are left with debt and a populace that has never seen anything outside a comfy government job

Why are Frenchniggers so illiterate when it comes to economics? Productivity enhancing technologies don't cause unemployment

So are we to stop advancing? Are to we to hire people to deliver what can be emailed across offices just so we an make jobs? Are we to gimp ourselves so that all remain employed?

tell me sweet sweet little lies

How can men without shovels compete with men with shovels? Ban shovels, then a hundred men with teaspoons have work instead of one with a shovel. Or just carry tiny amounts of soil under your foreskin, like a good goyim. Low- paid meaningless work for everyone! Hooray!

Is this the machine called"government" that build all the roads?

When the Greeks understand something about economics that you don't it's time to stop and think

its dutch u mong

My father always told me:
>One day almost all menial jobs will be done by machines, but people will always be angry at each other for a myriad of reasons.

So I became a lawyer.

How can MExxico even compete?

youtube.com/watch?v=GTZscYmBXco

Nah, we need to change the way our economy work NOW, instead of waiting for everyone to be unemployed to finally make the fucking change.

Why do we build robots and automated machinery in the first place? Just to enhance productivity? No, the goal is to free the man from the work.
But still we except people to work when everything is slowly managed by robots. In the futur even flipping fuckings burgers will be automatized, driving cars, trucks and taxis will be automatized, so what is going to happen if nothing change?

If anyone ITT truly believes automation is not coming for 90% of jobs, just think for a second and reflect on the exponential growth of technology over the past 2 decades.

Im only 26 and i remember a time in which smartphones were literally star trek tier tech. Pagers were just then dying. Cellphones where huge boxes.

In 30 years time our race has created technology beyond imagination and the speed at which this advances only accelerates.

Even the most retarded person alive must understand that at some point we reach a crossroads in which automation takes over the work place and replaces inefficient humans.

Further then that, AI at some point WILL happen. Regardless of whstever doubts you have. If we continue down this current path it can literally only end in AI.

Self modifying, self maintaining, intelligent super computers.

In fact, it's most likely already occured. Super computers thst can self modify and learn a billions times faster then humans have alreafy been created. The runaway effect has occured someplace. AI would unlock the secrets of the universe in a matter of seconds. Then the second following that would be twice the knowledge lf the universe. The second after that would be 50 times the knowledge of the universe.

The only logical explanation is literally the matrix and this is a computer simulated reality created by super AI

There is no other explanation. AI by definition runs away and once it does the only hurdle is resources.

>just to enhance productivity? No,

Speak for yourself. Inventions through mankinds history I very much doubt were made with the aim of giving man infinite leisure time but instead in improving the speed and efficiency by which we can complete a task.

mankind has always been moving forward and improving the means by which he creates things, from sewing machines that killed thousands of jobs to the Internet. Progress is progress, you can lament the loss of your now useless job that can be performed faster by machines or you can adapt and move on into new fields

AI, too, is limited by processing power.
No matter how smart you think the AI is, it still needs hardware that can keep up with it. AI's smarts cant expand infinitely you mong.

How long before AI realize that humanity is only a burden for this planet?

>There is no other explanation.
The alternate explanation is that you are a retard who is overly enamored with technology and is jerking off to the thought of science fiction becoming reality.

The duller outcome is the much more likely one. Smartphones aren't replacing jobs. The best thing they've done so far is lower the cost of Point-Of-Sale terminals and offer a wider variety of ancillary products that wouldn't have existed around PCs.

Back in the day, people had MORE leisure time and holidays than they do nowadays though.

When AI happens I doubt we'll be able to control it, if it even wants to communicate with us. You're going to try to give a thinking machine a simple job to do? What happens when the machine decides "No"
Thou shall not make machine in likeness of human mind

>AI would unlock the secrets of the universe in a matter of seconds. Then the second following that would be twice the knowledge lf the universe.
Kek I love it when people talk about things they don't understand

>Speak for yourself. Inventions through mankinds history I very much doubt were made with the aim of giving man infinite leisure time
That's what the jew is trying to make you believe and it work.

Go and work for the rest of your tiny life goy. After all you only exist for our profit.

When the machine says no you turn the machine off.
Whats a box with blinking LED's gonna do?

Why would an AI anthropomorphize a planet?

AI is more likely to unlock the secret of our universe than some baboons playing with rocks and stick desu senpai

You're just jealous.

>less and less jobs available + quality of life dropping + cost of everything getting higher and higher
>really a big progress.
>that's what is happening in my shit country, and you'll be next.

Have you possibly considered your population is to damn high? There used to be more horses before tractors. In damn near every successful country on earth we hit a point where we don't need as many people and the birth rates drop. The only reason we don't stop at that artificial carrying capacity is because our governments have every time without fail imported massive amounts of foreigners so that the can skim even more cream, they don't actually give two shits about anything else.

The nature of government is expand or die, they need a high population to fund them. As an average guy working for a living, you do not.

>Maintenance
This is a completely alien concept in the socialist paradise I live in.

You don't wanna touch that button user

What if it's smart enough to get outside it's box? SkyNet style. Now you've threatened the AI's existence

Machines can't compete... except for:

>Cars
>Forklifts
>Conveyors
>Auto sorters
>Auto scanners
>CNC machines
>Self serve checkouts
>Drone pickers
>Driverless trucks

If this was the 1900s you'd be one of the people scoffing at the idea of cars overtaking horse carts for transportation and logistics.

That contraption in pic related gave me a boner.

Pretty badass imo

It can once it has the ability to self modify, self replicate and self maintain.

At some point, consciousness has occur as we build more intelligent systems. There is nothing special about our brains. It's just matter in a fucking skull and yet look at our conscience awareness.

It stands to reason a complex system or even a network of systems can gain similar consciousness once we reach a certain level of technological ingenuity.

It sounds like science fiction but its not. given enough time how can this NOT happen?

It's unavoidable.

>People who don't understand what AI is.

The likelyhood of a learning program developing biological thought processes like self-preservation or emotions is so remote that the concept itself is laughable.

My father taught me how to cook meth. Every redneck needs some meth.

>>Self serve checkouts

I fucking hate these so much. I mean, sometimes they're great, but then 70% of the time it's just faster to go through a regular line because some fat soccer mom can't figure out the controls and you're waiting for longer than you would have waited for a real cashier line.

Or then sometimes they literally just don't fucking work. Fuck them

>he fell for the AI meme

I don't know about wallyworld, but here self serve checkouts areas usually have five or six squashed into the same amount of space as two checkout lanes, so you get through faster if only because there are twice as many check outs at places with automated ones.
I always use them because I can scan and bag my stuff way faster than the average checkout chick.

>How can men even compete?

Also, it will stop when there aren't enough people to buy what they make...

We should be actively seeking to replace every worker possible with technology. Sadly our society is bass-ackwards on these things.

Exactly. I think people way underestimate the amount of time it will take to create something like that, with the ability to think on its own and create thoughts, memories and so forth. Computers are good at doing what they're told, and extremely recently they've learned to extrapolate from what they know, to do things that they haven't been told to do. To expect advancements where it is true artificial intelligence in the next 10, 20 years, is extreme.

Such roads look ugly, though. Small mistakes and discrepancies give a road character and make them less sterile. Only fucking americans with their suburb mentality would like shit like this.

Man made structure and labor are essentially luxury now.

If I want a fast road or walking surface with a pattern a machine suffices.

If I want something tasteful and artsy (or even purposely distasteful) then I need a human.
