Some things he told me:

>My dad's grandma family is north italian, but they come from Poland, so that's why their lastname was italianized (Kalawski -> Coloschi)
>We dad's granpa family is south italian (Zafferana etnea).
>He has a passport photo from the first south italian that come here. (1.66 / brown eyes / big nose / '''whi*e'''... 4 generations later, i do look the same.)
>I have ONE amerindian ancestor
>0 spaniard ancestors, which is sad becos i laik spen
>The south italian who come here couldn't go to the war because he lost an eye.
>His brother went to USA (Philadelphia) instead of Argentina

I can trace my pure French ancestry to the mid 1500s. It becomes hard to find archives past that era though.

*past

well, "before" is a more appropriate word

i only know my mum's mum and sister, and i've seen a picture of my dad's mum
not a clue where my heritage is from

>mfw great grandma is a chink

Time to tighten the noose

>mfw family never kept records
>mfw grandad and grandma are either dead or dying
So I guess it's up to me now to make the family legacy

I don't know the detail but 'ive got ancestors from france, england, scotland, and one amerindian I think

My grandmothers uncle signed the act of independence of 1918, and it had no bearing on my life whatsoever. My father never talked about his side of the family, because they didn't like him marrying my mother. Found out a lot about my paternal side of the family from the relatives I met for the first time (as an adult) during my aunts funeral a few years back. So much drama.

My dad's ancestral line dies with me, so I don't feel too pressured.

>one amerindian ancestor

Imagine being so butthurt about your ancestry that you have to side with a party in regional banter from a country that isn't even your own, truly saddening

>His brother went to USA (Philadelphia) instead of Argentina
