I live in a small village in East Germany
There was a Japanese on my bus and I was surprised because there aren't many here
So I saw him browse on a Japanese forum
I wanted to talk to him (I have normal level of Japanese speaking)
But I remembered Japanese are shy so I thought maybe I shouldn't talk to him?
Would it scare him or did I miss a chance to make a new friend and Japanese teacher?

most places that aren't shady shacks will pay between 240.000,00 to 270.000,00 and that's starting salary - some schools also offer refund money for travel expenses.
Even if you're receiving a gross salary and have to bear all costs of accommodation/transportation you can still make a living even in Tokyo.
I have a friend who's a dumbass and washes dishes in Tokyo while living in Nerima and manages to get by on 210.000,00. Granted he's not going out every day but chances are, if you're on Sup Forums anyway, then you're not that kind of person. Even if you were, unless you're eating out all of the time, you can indeed save money to spend on things you like every now and then. And that's Tokyo we're talking about, you could live in a cheaper place like Osaka or Fukuoka.

I'm a "third worlder" who has been shot thrice, has been knifed, beaten, abused by parents, lived in a slum and still managed to study hard enough to learn English and some German on my own, to have an "ok paying job" and graduate from University.
Basically, I wanted to ask for tips on my plan to live in Japan long term (not permanent). But I don't want to be berated simply because I don't have experience with it, I wanted genuine help... I mean, it seems to me that this should be the place to ask but I'm not sure anymore.

I've never lived in Japan so I don't really know much, but you could look into getting a work visa. I'm not sure otherwise.
