You can't name a better movie franchise

you can't name a better movie franchise

Shin Godzilla was the best film of 2016

One of the best for sure. Godzilla 2 has some big shoes to fill.

Even with all the shitty ones it still has the most good movies in a franchise.

These are my favorites from the entire franchise, thoughts?

Kaijukino

>Star Wars and Trek run into the ground
>Lord of the Rings ruined by the Hobbit
>every horror franchise gone to shit and then badly rebooted
>every action franchise getting a shitty remake
>capeshitters still capeshittin'

You're actually right. Praise zilla. SKREEEOOONK

You're not a fan of Rodan?

> GvMGII, Destoroyah, FW
I would like your thoughts on these. Why are they in your favorites?

I have not watched Rodan yet but i definetly mean to.

You should definitely check it out. Rodan looks phenomenal. Showa effects were definitely at their height from Godzilla to Monster Zero. Technically speaking, King Kong vs Godzilla is probably the worst film from that period.

tried to watch biollante last night, it's hilariously bad. but also has some good moments. I'd like to see a remake.

soon

>it's hilariously bad
How so?

I remember as a kid watching the dubbed version of Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla on vhs and the voice actor for the secret agent character was literally just doing an Elvis Presley impression the whole way through, loved that shit.

watch the first 5 minutes.
also:
>if this wheat is a success, it will be devastating for the Americans. HAHAHAHAHA!

>Blu ray finally out so I can show normie friends and family the movie
>Dub is so god awful I'm not even sure they could stomach it for 2 hours

That's true, I can't think of any movie franchises with more good movies.

Most Godzilla films have an awkward scene or two. Is this supposed to be a surprise? And it's better than anything else in the genre from that time. Has glorious art direction, music, and atmosphere.

Oh, i will. Rodan is one of my favorite Kaiju's.

As for why i like those movies on your previous post.
I always enjoyed Mechagodzilla as one of the monsters but GvMGII is the first one where it really shines, it also has some great Rodan action.

Destoroyah is one of my favorites of the entire franchise. The idea of Destoroyah coming from the Oxygen Destroyer wich killed the original godzilla is a neat idea, i'm not a big fan of the design though looks to much like a demon from hell. Godzilla also was more of a destructive monster and i liked his design aswell. It also had a great ending with Godzilla's son.

FW was just a blast to watch and the fan service felt fine after watching so many Kaiju movies. It needed more Kaiju action and less Human fight scenes though.

Share the subbed version with them?

Final Wars was utter shit

Shin was kino

Sure, Final Wars was just dumb fun. They're different movies.

It was too campy, there were moments that were just plain stupid (The cop and the hoodrats during Rodan's scene, the kid throwing out Pokemon toys) Plus the ridiculous kung fu scene during the final battle, it was too much to handle. Almost became enjoyable because of how bad it is

...

Aside from these what are the other worst Godzilla films

>That feel when Shin was true unironic toku kino and we might never get a Godzilla movie as good as it

...

Not a movie

> Actively bad:
Godzilla's Revenge
Godzilla vs Mothra (1992)
Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla
Godzilla vs Megaguirus

> Painfully Dull:
Godzilla Raids Again
Return of Godzilla
Godzilla 2014

I wish my local theaters could do re-showing of some Godzilla movies.

>Painfully Dull
>Return and G'14
>no Godzilla 2000

also, Megaguirus is underrated, people will recognize it soon

Anyone seen the 90s Mothra trilogy? Is it any good?

Kiryu is the best mecha.

Normies won't watch the subbed version

>not liking Final Wars
It has the best Godzilla design and the best enemy Kaiju design.

literally a religious experience if you're watching it on E.

otherwise it's not good at all

wrong and wrong, thanks for playing

I caught the shot with the stationary tanks trained at Godzilla but not this.

That design was fuckin stupid though, just go with normal ghidorah, it's a fan service flick, don't show off a new monster

I literally just showed my normie friends the subbed version last night. They were very, very surprised.

GMK had some of the best modern giant monster suit effects. I mean, the way it's shot just feels so much more convincing.

I know people always talk about how they love it, but I feel like no one talks about how visually it is one of the coolest and convincing Godzilla films.

hell no, it was Kaneko's trilogy, but worse

Post without circles

>Zilla posting is at an all time high

What a time to be alive

>all time high
>almost no threads
>if there is one it's slow as fuck

>it was Kaneko's trilogy, but worse
You that as if Kaneko's films aren't among the greatest movies in the entire genre.

...

>
I never, but that not anyway
