has there ever been a successful live action film based on a non-super hero comic series? i know there's stuff like creepshow, but how about like newspaper comic strips or web comics? i know they're pretty simplistic but considering hollywood usually takes creative liberties with most source material, i don't see why they can't expand on these sort of characters.

I played d&d with a football player back in high school.

>dobson

Wow athletes sure are dumb for not casually taking about the periodic table. Dobson is so smart. Periodic table is smart and jocks are stupid.

American Splendor
>American Splendoris a series of autobiographical comic books written by Harvey Pekar

Oldboy and ghost world come to mind

Garfield, Charlie Brown and Dick Tracy

dennis the menace

Oh and Annie

Wanted and Kingsman.
