I know what you are talking about because I grew up with rap. Tried to explain this to people many times but they don't get it, coz the only rap they see its on tv and it portrays money, drugs, women..
I listened to 90s/00s murican rap, domestic mace rap and ex-yu. We have some good shit here, shame the world will never listen to it because of the language barrier.
