If he's so poor, why doesn't he sell his web fluid technology?

If he's so poor, why doesn't he sell his web fluid technology?

I wanna have sex with Mary Jane.

because action is his reward, faggot

people would notice that the web spiderman leaves around town is the same as the stuff peter parker is selling

Why couldn't he just build something else? With all that money he could by a jet pack

he went to three patent offices but they all said there was no demand for such a strong adhesive if it was just gonna dissolve in an hour or two.

He's not poor any more you guys

He's not any more

uh... the cops? or any defense contractor. or anyone having anything to do with security. and, a lot of technologies aren't useful, by themselves, but are stepping stones to actual world changers. Gorilla Glass, which is used in smartphones, was invented in the 50's by Corning. they couldn't think of anything to do with it, until Apple came to them. now they are fucking rich. not like they weren't, before, but now more so!

yeah, peter parker not selling his inventions is pants-on-head retarded

This is a very good argument, nice job user.

He aint poor no more.

If you want to leave the planet so bad why don't you try and fly?

basically the guys at said offices were rude and dismissive of him so, being a moody teenager, he went home rather than press the issue.

Shortly after that he stumbled into the solution of selling his selfies to JJJ and he more or less forgot other ways of making cash even exist

Because the whole point of Spider-man was he was an insert for the reader.

He was the nerdy kid in highschool who wasn't very popular. Then when he grew up and moved out on his own he had trouble making rent, paying tuition, covering his bills. It made him relatable and interesting because on top of fighting crime and super villains he had the same problems most of the readers had.

Batman, Green Arrow, Ironman, all billionaires, flashy in costume and flashy out of costume. They over the top.

Spider-man's secret identity was much more humble which made him much more dynamic when he was in costume.

Of course now that's all been chucked out the window because "Hey let's make him a billionaire!"

To be fair, it's hard to relate to a guy who's been emotionally and financially unstable for over 30 years. I mean, Sup Forums in general can relate to that, but not most people.

AAAAAHHH HELP ME BUY A HOSE TONy

Isn't he currently ceo of a mega corporation

inb4 some organic web sperg claims this is why organic webs are better

For the same reason Batman wouldn't sell his batarang tech (assuming Bruce needed cash) or Superman wouldn't allow Kryptonian tech to be sold, etc., or Wonder Woman wouldn't sell Amazonian tech, etc.

Neither of them have money issues.

Same reason Stark, Reed, and Pym haven't solved the energy crisis, world hunger, cancer, AIDS, and every other problem in the world
Status Quo
Marvel and pretty much every other company putting out cape comics try to make the setting as much like the real world as possible so you can have Iron Man use crazy superscience to fight off an alien invasion but the only product his company can sell is a smart phone. Reed Richards can make a ship that can travel through dimensions but cars still run on gas

Also the Spider-Man character has been defined for years by the fact that Peter Parker is pretty much a normal guy who has to balance work, his home life, and super heroics

He';; be a dad with his wife in November
