"6 countries you've never heard of" according to HuffPost

>Americans have never heard about Nauru, Brunei, Djibouti and fucking Malta
huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/30/countries-youve-never-heard-of_n_4004491.html
Another fine example of American education.

I can assure you that every American knows of Djibouti thanks to the name

I didn't know about the existence of most countries when I came to Sup Forums

that's the only one I haven't heard of

though that's africa so who cares

I've only heard of Brunei (thanks to rare posting on Sup Forums) and Malta because there's a Swede living there writing in the Swedish general.

I unironically did not know that Sweden existed before Sup Forums

Surprise surprise...

These are the only countries the average American knows of:
>USA
>Cuba
>Canada
>Mexico
>Brazil
>"England"
>Ireland
>Russia
>Spain
>Germany
>Greece
>China
>Japan
>The Koreas
>Australia
>Italy
>Poland if they're "Polish American"

Most Americans don't even know their own states, kek.

>Nauru
WTF is this?

Add the "country" of Africa and India and you're all set.
Also, why didn't you add "greatest ally"?

I understand Nauru and Djibouti but pretty sure everyone knows Malta and Brunei. Its probably just Huffpo BS.

Island in the Pacific

your best friend, sasuke

Australian cryptocolony

Used to be the richest place on the Earth thanks to mineral deposits. Then they ran out. Now it's poor as fuck, it's literally a refugee dumping ground for the Aussie government. Also per capita fattest place on Earth, dog bless our Pacific brothers

You're right, I forgot
>"The Middle East"
>"India"
>"Africa"
>"SEA"

The average American doesn't know France?

They think France is part of Canada

Malta is a fucking meme.

It's only relevant to C*tholics or Euro-centrist autists.

Doubtful since they probably study the American Revolutionary war at school.

Wish the average person didn't know about Fr*nce. Or better yet that Fr*nce didn't exist

Wrong
People are more likely to not know about Canada than France
I thought Canada was a rural country without any cities until I was 12

Kinda rude but okay.

Here is how I remember the revolution being taught
>American settlers lived in peace with Indians
>Greedy English pigs decide to tax Americans for no reason
>Americans peacefully protest and >get shot
>Americans are forced to take up arms, and all by themselves, manage to kick out the English menace

It’s alright to be rude to people who spawned Québécois

...

Yeah, France is probably one of the first 5 countries an American learns about.

To be honest I didn't know most of those countries existed until I took a "countries of the world" quiz as a teenager. I had heard of Malta because my friend went their on holiday and I had heard of Brunei because there was a kid in my school who came from there.

>implying most Americans have any desire to learn about the world around them or would even be interested in leaving America instead of staying here to work give birth than die

Atleast in my school we did countries of the world quizes on 7th grade, and you had to try until you got all european countries 100% correct to pass the class

Wow

Arent 300k maltese living in aus

France??

our chance to do what the Brits did to us a long time ago: send criminals to shithole islands

>a bunch of irrelevant african shitholes
oh no how awful this is a disgrace what a shame

I doubt many Americans know about Finland either

Finn I love your country and their antics please don't change

>Nauru, Brunei
Honestly never heard of these
>Djibouti, Malta
Who hasn't heard of these? One is a normie meme and the other is fucking Malta

I only didn't know about Nauru.

I think you were just reading /his/ in class

>Malta
Know about this because of Age of Empires III.
>Brunei
Know about this because I autistically listed modern states that can be considered city-states one time.
> Kyrgyzstan
Know about this because I study maps, though unlike the other stans I can tell you literally nothing about this place other than its geographical location and its name.
> Djibouti
Know this because what used to be the only US base in Africa is located there.
>Nauru, Kiribati
never heard of them, tiny island meme micronations need to be killed.

Knew about Nauru that's island in Pacific, and knew Djibouti in Africa, but surely would had a hard time finding them on a map. Brunei and Malta are memetic and well-known.

Everybody in Finland probably know about Nauru, because the name means "laughter". Easy to remember.

They probably would however finding it on a map might prove difficult.
