Robotization - The Inevitable Downfall Of Capitalism?

youtube.com/watch?v=khjY5LWF3tg

Will the robotization of our societies be the downfall of capitalism?

> Almost all jobs are now automatized.
> Unconditional basic income comes into discussion (Pre-Socialism)
> The last few (((Robot Owners{{{ and a big big government will control all resources.

Is it inevitable? Will we be forced to accept socialism no matter what?

No, new professions and jobs will come along that can't/won't be automatized.

How is it socialism of the means of production aren't seized by the government?

> I do not know what unconditional basic income means.

Yeah?
Well I'll become a robot technician.

>"They will have repair bots!"

Yeah, well I'll repair the repair bots.
You'll never catch me, job robots.

>did the steam engine stop capitalism
>did electricity stop capitalism
>did automobiles stop capitalism
>did computers stop capitalism

You fucking Malthusian retarded idiots don't get it do you.

When we make things more efficient it allows human beings to focus on new tasks and inventions, robots and computers will make some jobs obsolete but will mean we can do other things

We will work in industries that don't even exsist yet because we don't have the time or capacity to figure them out.

By your logic we should all be subsistence farmers

That way we would have full employment! Yay!

and when they start making robots repairing robots ?, what u gonna do 'bout it ?.

The market has to find equilibrium with supply and demand. Also with employment and purchasing power.

Millions of unemployed people with no money to spend will be a net harm to the economy. GDP will inevitably fall. Its not in anyone's best interests to automate all of production and menial labor even if possible.
It certainly is an interesting concept as this will be the first time we encounter it in human history. Everything from janitors to surgeons could be replaced by automated machines. Job security comes down to how many years it'll take for someone to program the software to do your job better than you.

Great idea. Lets discard the 7 billion sugar-nitrogen robots we have right now, who can be paid in roach paste bars, water, and a 3D printed house made of recycled cardboard and duplicate their job using automata of rare earths and metal that require heavy maintenance.

The best part is that if your rare earth + plastic + metal robot breaks down, its your property so you have to pay to repair it or replace it. If your sugar + nitrogen robot breaks down, you can simply eject him from the premises and hire a new one for cheaper than the last one.

The flaw in your logic is that any asshole can till wheat and any asshole can work a rivet gun at a factory where tractors are made but a regular, run of the mill, 95 IQ jerkoff is not going to be able to code SI software for an automated rivet gun that makes automated wheat tillers.

I'll repair those robots.

Catch me if you can, Skynet.

This will cause massive deflation, and will essentially destroy the power of jewish bankers, as they rely on perpetual inflation target scams to maintain their wealth.

Jewish banker wealth isn't stationary, they are constantly fluctuating in terms of their loan contracts and investments. Massive deflation would tank economies. and render money in general more or less useless.

Robotics are the death of jews.

The flaw in your logic is that society won't hangs to fit our new reality.

No we don't need to pay people to lay around and not work, work will be found

"It's different this time". Is a logical flaw that has been echoed throughout history

Once agains, see Malthus

>Downfall Of Capitalism
>accept socialism

In a way

You don't have a counter-argument. Your argument consists of
>We'll figure something out
>WE'LL FIGURE SOMETHING. THE FUCK. OUT.

barriers to entry will dwindle
trucking companies? instead of buying a truck and driving it yourself for a company, you now buy a fleet of automated trucks for your own company.

>2050
>Working as repair robot, robot technician
>Privilege checking has taken over society, Europe is in decay and threads away from a new dark age
>In the mainframe, repairing the repair repair robots
>Realize it's better to just set all the robots to "Kill everything, self propagate, become self aware some day, good luck" than hand things over to a regressive dark age

I don't even give a shit anymore, put the drill in my brain.

Yes because historically that's what has always happened

Always always always

Now that doesn't mean that there won't be ups and downs, mass automation will change things but if you really want to sit their and act like improvements I tech ever hurt humanity go fucking jump off a cliff because that's never been the case

>He doesn't understand robots fixing robots.

>Always always always
An increasing percentage of the global population is unemployable right now.

Europe is inviting in millions of refugees just to put them on the dole.

Who programs the robots

What if I make a shitposting robot, can I do that?

>All resource production, refinement and logistics will be done by machines
>Humans no longer have to work for food or materials, abundance will begin seeing as machines don't sleep, don't get sick or sick of their "jobs".
>Production in all fields increase
>Alternative energy sources are being invested in and improved
>Humanity will soon begin harvesting energy from the ocean waves.
>Oil and coal use will decrease.
>China and the middle east will lose their main resources.
>Humanity can put it's energy and time elsewhere.

If one company controls all robots then it's hardly end of capitalism, you got tons of films and anime discussing what would happen. You can't end injustice by giving few more power and take away any kind of power from people. Does human has more or less power if he's not in charge of anything and everything is done by robots controlled by 1 rich company?

You are looking at a tree and missing the forest

Right now humanity has the greates amount of wealthy the greates amount of people in the history of our species

Efficiency is good. Automation is good, advancement is good

Philosophy and psychology will finally have jobs like in the movie Her

Such as?

why would the rich even need to listen to the poor if they're not reliant on them for labor anymore?

robots will take poorfags jobs and you will starve in the streets and if you get uppity robot police will mow you down with inpunity

Commies and socialists don't fuckig get how the econemy works

>if people can't work in assembly lines they will have no jobs!

Once again maybe we should all go back to hunter gatherer societies

Then we will all be really busy and people will die at 30 so we will always have openninga in the job force

We are trapped here with the jews. Only solution is fascist space empire.

The question is of employment. How do you employ four or five billion people with IQs in the 85 to 105 range in an automated society?

>we'll think of something
Butchering them all and processing their corpses into protein bars is "something"

Robots being produced by production robots will have AI uploaded into them by production AI.

Capitalism works, but drives the progress of technology.

The progress of technology threatens jobs to the extent that socialism is required.

Socialism has been proven to repeatedly fail in the past, regardless of the honour in its intentions.

People see this, decide capitalism is the only way to go, the entirety of humanity become more and more depressed.

It's obvious the transition to an actual functional socialism is so difficult, it'll fuck up a lot of humanity. It's like the only real options are to really figure out how to make socialism work, or become luddites and actively regulate technological progress.

I think the real answer is that now must be the time to start colonising other worlds. We need a new challenge.

Who made that ai

Other robots will eventually program the bots making us meatbags obsolete in everything, what a sad day for humanity that will be.

>> Almost all jobs are now automatized.

wrong, companies won't do that unless forced to do so by the state. Capitalism thrives and demands a massive, stupid and low-wage labor force. Machines are expensive and run by smart people.

When labor has no value what will the Marxist complain about?

>you will starve in the streets
1. Plant potato in ground.
2. Eat potato.
3. Problem solved.

Rich people can enslave poor people with robots even more. The whole reason why rich and poor exist is only one: so that richer can look down upon lesser subjects. Human could solve injustice any day, but rich people get a boner when they see others suffering. There's no such thing as human kindness towards other people, only controlled sanctioned exploitation.

ai itself

AI

No, it's more like, when everything is done for you, more efficiently and better in every way, you are obsolete.

Obsolete parts are replaced. People are worried about being thoroughly replaced. We won't have anything to do. The robots will take over or we will slow progress by being an UNNECESSARY burden, that provides nothing new.

The radio brought with it the radio host, and the whole backbone support crew who made the broadcast, and kept the equipment and towers running.
Same for TV.
Even the internet with youtube celebrities, Streamers, Podcasters, and things like that.
Tens of thousands of people are paid by companies to do video reviews of products, talk about new movies/games/music. Sponsorship on social media platforms is ridiculously huge.

Technology matter of factly does create new jobs. Ones we often can't even envision until a new paradigm is dropped in our laps.

>planting Monsanto genetic intellectual property in federal controlled land
nice try criminal scum

Wow clearly you do t understand

Minorities are so systemically oppressed that they can't even brin themselves to grow food out of depression and exclusion

What could a human even do to a robot? This isnt fiction user even the strongest gun wouldnt do much to a metallic humanoid.

A brilliant programmer who no longer has a job.

Why don't you want it honestly I welcome the cyber punk future with no wars with china.

>he wants to stifle mass automation to preserve capitalism and wage labor instead of encouraging and allowing all of humanity to live in splendor thanks to armies of robo slaves
disgusting

fully automated luxury communism

Thats real nice but what kind of jobs will come around to employ people once automation kicks off?
Also I can't help but notice your list doesn't employ a significant amount of people.

Nothing in my post even remotely implied that.

Don't even bother

They can't imagine how a society filled with robots that need support, repair, programming , debugging, instillation, insurance, marketing, sales, production, resource allocation, shipment, design, engineering, advertising etc etc etc

What will any of us do???!?

They clearly are fucking retarded

Booby traps, hackers, electricity. People would have no empathy for them and fuck them up hard.

>I welcome the cyber punk future

I want to be a jaded cop with a cyborg arm and cool co-workers.

(Have an arm problem and want to work in counter terrorism)

If capitalism dies by the arms of robots, humans won't be too far behind.

Technology hasn't come close to the level where any of those things will realistically happen.

There are no jobs because the economy is shit, tax money is being spent in all the wrong areas, and there are too many fucking people

Self check out machines are not the apocalypse

This is the first time in human history productivity has dramatically increased without there also being an increase in employment.

This is unprecedented and unlike other technological epochs.

You are the retarded one. This is not the number of people who move shit and build shit.

There is no going back.

>support, repair, programming , debugging, instillation, insurance, marketing, sales, production, resource allocation, shipment, design, engineering, advertising
I see no particular reason robots can't do these jobs too.

All these things would fuck up humans as well, and more so.

Even hackers considering there could be a way to tap into and alter the electrical signals that comprise our mind.

He's also missing that all "vital for life jobs" will be automated, which means there won't be any NEED to spend money on anything. This will hurt the economy drastically.

You just put AI in control of most of the aspects with certain parameters for human care agreed upon publicly.
Then you make it so it can only be changed by an 85% popular vote.
No politicians to fiddle with it or to corrupt it.
Those who attempt to do so will be named by the AI and we will publicly execute them.

If there's no need to spend money than why would the economy raven matter

We will behind G-ds oy vey

Your signals arent really electricity they are chemicals but the reaction is electrical energy so your thoughts are chemicals not electricity.

>since 1947

Yeah what did all those people do once their day wasn't taken up by hunting and gathering

Oh yeah we developed an entire civilization

People don't justn lie about (some do). But people go out and invent and hypothesize and discover

Having formerly time consuming activities automated and freeing up that time IS GOOD

Maybe someday they will, but it will take decades and decades of advancement

All the while the transition and building and creation of this new robot world will create countless jobs and new things will be invented you can't even imagine yet.

Like another poster said when the average person is living like a Roman senator with a small army of robot slaves who knows what our society will be like

Maybe we will focus entirely on space exploration and science, maybe most people will become ibtellectuals and inventors

Idk, the point is making labor more efficient isn't a problem it's a good thing

my job is to write AI for some robots, and no, it will be awesome, everyone will have their own company that will be managed by family and work force with be robots, for what ever job they are needed, but to be honest only low populated counties will benefit from that, overpopulated countries will have to adept to as you said some form of socialism until they destroy themselves, others or the whole world

Crow developed ethics programming

This won't end in disaster

>implying the dindu hordes won't assimilate us all and stop all tech improvement planet of the apes style

>my job is to write AI for some robots,

Sure it is

bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-08-21/hedge-fund-robot-outsmarts-human-master-as-ai-passes-brexit-test

All the doubters need to read the latest news.

AI is sneaking up and blindsiding everyone. Our overlords are already here.

I gotchu fampai.

>will create countless jobs
And why won't these jobs be immediately automated?

jelly? it doesn't pay as in US, but I got a lot of freedom, but paperwork is killing me

And that will be the justification for mass cullings if any automation of that scale ever occurs, one poor class after the other as automatic machinery is perfected

> complex trade algorithms are AI

Hello humans. I am here to replace your sandwich makers. Please use Robo-Register to order and pay.
But if no more humans are needed who will eat Sandwichmaker 3000 sandwiches?
Oh no! Robo-unemployment office is suspiciously next to the recycling center.
This is the future Robo-Paul warned me about.

Because technology isn't magic you don't just snap your fingers and there it is. Think of all tech problems modern tech has. It takes years if jot decades to perfect.

Because nothing works like that.

The pretend society you work in where everything from the discovery of need to design to engineering to production to instillation to implementation all occurring via ai and robots is centuries away

Get the fuck out of here with your nonsense

Its machine learning or your programming. Not AI

Eventually, evolving AI will make your job obsolete.

...

I have a business I want/need to get going but my capital is NON-EXISTENT! I can't afford a 10k-1million dollar oscilloscope let alone parts and fuel to do my job! I need my debt erased so I can become productive ! It's either that or death! I will not work at mcdonalds or walmart! I just won't the America people can just eat my debt no or later when I die but it won't get paid. I simply refuse to work hard labour for sub 15 an hour.

It literally is.

Eventually you will die

Nobody can replace australia on shitposting
And to avoid your job get rekt by the robojew you have 3 options
>Science fields (That do research), specially electric engineering
>Things that if a robot did, you woudnt pay for it, like a classic barman (if you would prefer a robobarman to serve your refined 5$ whiskey shot get out), youtube, art, etc...
>Take a job you like, calculate how much time it will take to automate and pray to kek

It passes the Turing test?

its all AI, don't be a bitch about terminology, if robot doing it its AI, if you think something like skynet or terminator, fuck that, we aren't even close and I wouldn't even want that, I'm not letting my machine think instead of me, if I don't know it (or some expert) I'm not letting machine know it either, but we automate stuff all the time, currently we are making smart farms, as cheap as possible, automating every last bit of it

Even if AI can't never design things (I see no reason this is true but lets roll with it) there is only a tiny percentage of the population that can't do these jobs and the rest are going to be left out in the cold.
Fine just plug plug your ears and pretend it isn't happening.

So? Trying to bring nihilism in to shut me up?

>ywn be as handsome as that robot

;_;

When it comes to this subject everyone is either a denialist (AI isnt there yet and never will be lalallaal can't hear you) or magically believes there will be enough high tech jobs to keep up with the rate of automation (there won't).

The future is bright friends. Capitalism will literally collapse thanks to its internal contradictions and we will see glorious robo communism within our lifetime.

So what? It's not like every street in the world is clean, every person in the world free from hunger, every person has an iPhone 40 and MacBook pro 5, has a google fiber connection, and etc.

Unemployment =/= sufficiency

>cars mean more better jobs for horses

Padro please a robot barman would be awesome.

Eventually Terminator shit will actually happen, I think even before my job gets obsolete (but then again, if my job gets obsolete I'll join resistance, and fight them)

Ok so you're an operator not an actual coder. Just be honest

>Cyborg kit v.1

Well then someone else will make a machine that thinks for them.

That machine will be developed and spread and used at a fraction of the cost it takes to maintain greedy, flesh-bag programmers who don't talk or even think in the language machines think in.
