Banter aside, I've noticed it too. Idk what it is, I grew up avoiding a laundry list of foods (some of which I actually was allergic to like milk and sesame seeds but others were false positives), and none of my Euro friends have any allergies.
Then there's my sister, who's medically a train wreck. She's allergic to wheat and nuts, takes thyroid hormones, and is on 2 or 3 different psychiatric drugs.
