>tfw just finished a useless liberal arts bachelor's degree >tfw gf lives in China and can't come to Germany >tfw there are no jobs for people with my qualifications in China, so I can't move there either
Is there a way how I could find work in China without being an engineer? >inb4 english teacher Recently I started learning android programming at Udacity and I'm doing quite well, but I doubt Mr Chong will employ a laowei with an internet meme degree. Wat do?
don't worry, your relationship is bound to end once it dawns on your gf that she can't make a life with you. you don't have to go to China.
Robert Harris
Come to america your degree can allow you to get a masters in law or business school.
Christian Rodriguez
What's your degree?
Liam Morgan
Film and Journalism
Kayden Adams
Huh. That does sound pretty useless. Unless you have a lot of ambition or connections. Personally I'm getting a degree in cultural analysis.
Cooper Thompson
Why don't you do law?
Aaron Torres
Since I'm quite good at programming, I wouldn't mind to go back to uni and get a masters degree in CS, but that's not possible in Germany.
Nathan Johnson
I can't afford to study in the US and it's not possible in Europe. Law is a 5 year programme.
Jackson Jenkins
>a degree in cultural analysis
Samuel Jackson
If you don't have anything to do, try your luck and apply for some american schools and look for scholarships. Some people especially international students get very lucky and study for free.
Nathan Scott
It's not really a subject in it's own right, its just a combination of nordic folklore and ethnology. For me, studying nordic culture was very important. It has skills and knowledge that I'll make good use of when I aim to work for a think tank.
Dylan Morgan

Chase Ortiz
What kind of think tank needs specialists on nordic folklore?
James Allen
Not as a specialist, this is undergraduate studies. After my bachelors I plan to study political science. But either way, I know it is a useful skill. An influential think tank in my country funded by the nation's largest union hired a person with the same degree I'm going for.
Hunter Cruz
OH NO NO NO
Camden Moore
>Europeans can't escape from their bad undergrad decesions AHAHAHHHAHHAH
Elijah Jackson
yeah they can? I imagine its a lot easier here to go back to school and complete another education than it is in america
Jace Miller
When you want to do a master's degree, you need to have the right bachelors degree for it. But at the same time uni in Germany is free, so you can go back to uni and do a second bachelor's degree if you want. In US you drown in debt already after first degree.
Jacob Clark
>tfw drown in debt
Logan Robinson
>hired a person with the same degree I'm going for.
And you're planning on assassinating him in order to get a job, or what?
Jackson Bell
Education is typically gratis (or very nearly so) throughout the EU.
Leo Bell
Not in England
Benjamin Roberts
I know.
Owen Stewart
But in Scotland
Grayson Collins
No. Just an example, what I hope to do is to be able to work within politics, and I believe a good education in culture can help in that regard.
Jacob Lopez
I don't think there's anything wrong with educating yourself in the humanities (at least not if you do it properly). Just don't deceive yourself too much as to how useful it's going to be.
Ian Price
>you can go back to uni and do a second bachelor's degree if you want Not anymore in Baden-Württemberg
Hunter Johnson
Anything can be of use, it all depends on how you apply it.
Yeah, but at an enormous cost. Law school is 100k on average. Meanwhile he could go for cheap or free in Europe
Carson Brown
he can't european education is not flexible like ours, He has to start from the beginning and sometimes they can't even do that. Also a masters in law is not worth 100k not really, it's much easier here
Lucas Reyes
BAHAHAHA are there any more greentexts like this? It's hilarious seeing how delusional the Sup Forums users are
Parker Carter
There should be plenty on /r9k/
William Lee
>tfw doing a STEM degree (it's a bit special in France it's not in a university but harder but whatever) but the more I do maths and physics, the less im interested in science >thought about dropping all that shit and studying law instead, as I've always been good at humanities, foreign languages and all that kind of stuff
Anyone in a similar situation ?
Jose Edwards
engineering prep school ?
Gabriel Torres
Be prepared to fucking hate your life.
Pollution and filth will be part of your daily life. You will most likely step into human excrement at least once. Your Internet will be completely censored and every Skype call you make will be monitored.
Beyond the areas meant to be seen by the foreigners, there will be unimaginable poverty and suffering.
The Chinese are rude, arrogant, and completely devoid of empathy and compassion.
They only care about money and face. Creativity is not valued.
Finally, especially if you're actually going to Beijing, you will lose at least a month of your life due to the unfathomable pollution.
worst thing the french made ever. You just don't need all that math and physics for an engineering degree. It's simple as that. Oh and it feels like you are still in high school and you also need to take a test after two years
Evan Butler
Couldn't agree more, maybe it's good for people whose passion is math or something, but not for me desu
Kevin Gutierrez
I don't care. I just want to be reunited with my qt3.14
