Looks much better than the old miniseries

looks way worse than the old pennywise

looks about on par with the old miniseries

YOU'LL DRIVE TOO

Looks ok. I'll see it if it isn't a dumb jumpscare fest.

I'M JUST A SWEET PARAPLEGIC

Looks way worse than the old pennywise

Edgy

looks worse than the old pennywise but better than the miniseries.

Looks pennywise but miniseries

damn, pennywise looks like THAT?

This thread looks way worse than the last 96 IT threads, but much better than the next 122 IT threads.

Looks-wise it's very penny. The mini olds better than series.

looks way worse than the old pennywise.

Include me in the reddit chain comment screen cap! XD

The old movie is such hella scary!
youtu.be/mShRmjNc5SE

Will it contain kiddi porn?

series looks new, but the wise old penny is worse.

I don't like him being posted like this. Tim Curry is to be respected.

there isn't a genre with more nostalgia fags than horror

proof: see thread

Old the than way looks penny new wise

Agreed. The original IT is fucking terrible, Curry is good in it but that doesn't mean it's scary or good

Lol I hope he dies soon, I cringe by looking at that vegetable.

ins't pennywise supposed to look like a normal clown? Why make him looks like a psycho? He's just "scary" because the protagonist got Coulrophobia

No, it's an otherworldly being.

The remake's Pennywise seems to be more of a spectrum, from cute and innocent to kinda creepy to monstrous depending on the scene, while Tim Curry's was more of a binary that had "normal mode" and "scary mode."

>nicest girl you'll ever meet

I cringe at you Mr edge

i dunno, he looks like a normal, albeit more old timey, european, clown to me. i think it's the context in which he is presented (the lighting, camera angles) that makes him look scary. If you saw him in a circus juggling pins or something, he'd probably look like just another clown to you as well.

Fuck can't unsee the comparison

Why is it that everyone that critiques Pennywise's look in this new movie haven't read the book?
>he's not supposed to look edgy
The only person he charms by being friendly is Georgie. There's even a flashback sequence in the book to a parade in Derry where Pennywise is handing out balloons in sight of everyone and all the children around him are practically shitting themselves in fear.

How do i float?

If it has good word of mouth, I might see it. Otherwise, I just don't really care enough.

Looking forward to it

Inhale enough helium AND YOU'LL FLOAT TOO

I've not read the book, but in the book, was there a regular human clown Pennywise whom the monster modeled itself after or was it always the monster?

TUNNEL SNAKES RULE

It's gonna flop critically
Not true, by the way

But it's gonna be a huge financial success

yeah, probably

Yeah but doesn't he look fairly normal to the kids from far and then the closer they get the more fucked up he gets? I haven't read the book in a while, but I thought I remembered that's how ben's first interaction went down. Also, I don't really have an issue with the way he looks I just want the movie to have the appropriate scale.

Why would you kys when you have arms this thicc

Oh, shit my bad, I thought that second guy saying this Pennywise looked better

keeeeeek

No, the clown was always IT. He probably took inspiration from Bozo and Clarabelle. The thing is, IT doesn't take on the form of Pennywise to fool children explicitly, IT does it because IT finds killing and terrorizing people humorous.
When Ben first encounters IT at the canal he was entranced by the clown and couldn't take his eyes off him. He would've died but he got freaked out when he realized that Pennywise's balloon floating towards him was floating against the wind.

At most, the kids that encounter Pennywise are enthralled at first but then they realize that something isn't right. Call it hypnosis if you will.

The trailers etc have spoiled way too much. I don't have the self control to not watch a clip when it's released.

kek

To be fair, all movies do this shit nowadays.

>I haven't read the book
>I haven't seen the miniseries
>I don't like horror films in general
The trailer got me hyped though

>It's gonna flop critically
Not that anyone gives a fuck but no, I don't think it will.

Hey! take it easy...

Seriously, who the fuck does Tim think he is? Every single recent picture, scowling hard at the paparazzi.

YOU STILL HAVE FANS WHO CARE ABOUT YOU DICKHEAD! KEEP THIS SHIT UP AND I'M BINNING MY CLUE/RHS DVDS!

The original IT was like a 6/10 overall, but Tim Curry was so good in it and almost all of the Pennywise scenes were so great that it will be really hard to top on that aspect.
>"YOURE TOO OLD RICHIE! YOURE ALL TOO OLD!"

I have doubts the actress they use for IT Part 2 will be likable. I know the director has a history with that man jaw woman who has never been in a notable role. Jessica Chastain. I don't even know how people outside of Sup Forums mommyfags know about her. Beverly is a hard character to write in a movie I think. She's easy to hate. Even in the book she's the most pathetic what with her having 10 orgasms every time her abusive husband fucks her.

is the rape scene in or out? if its not in then im not watching

>ywn be Beverly's abusive husband

lmao what a retarded old cunt

>horror movie in September

Not happening. Studios dump all the movies they have no faith in during this month.
It'll be lucky if it makes double its budget.

Yeah... I'd settle for having a ginger gf.

Is there anything likable about this character other than her being cute? Maybe the books can change shit.

You must not be very active on social medias.
It is getting hyped as fuck and people are craving some new horror movies.

Hype =/= Ticket sales

People said they were going to see Titanic 3D too.

Screen cap my post and eat shit when my predictions come true then

Titantic 3D was a great film. Your alloud to switch you're brain off from time to time.

>It'll be lucky if it makes double its budget.

lol

will it be kino?

I will.
It's going to flop because teens won't be able to buy a ticket for it, which are the main amount of people that are hyping it up.

AND WE RULE!

not really. in the book her scenes of escaping rape-murder are extremely intense but then again every character except Stanley has extremely intense scenes while also being less annoying that the girl of the group.

You seem to forget there's an even bigger fanbase than teens, and that's the people who were young when the original miniseries came out.
But of course you wouldn't understand because you are an underage moron.

$35–45 million budget, at least $60 million opening day predicted.

I'm 26.
And all those people that aren't teens who are interested will drop it like a bad habit the second they see the Rotten Tomatoes score.
You know it, I know it.
IT is going to flop. Screencap this.

I think you overestimate how many people look at RT before watching a movie

You must be fucking retarded if you don't think it will be a success.

i started out optimistic
then i saw pictures of the neibolt disney haunted mansion and i was pessimistic
then i saw the first teaser and poster and i was extremely pessimistic
then i started seeming footage for it and was optimistic

Oh so you're that kind of people who relies on what "critics" say to like a movie.
Sorry, I don't like to argue with retards.

See you when the movie breaks records.

I seriously doubt they will put Tom and Beverly's relation on screen. He's meant to be an asshole, but even as an antagonist I don't think a beating such as the one in his introduction, and the many implied others, would fly in this day and age.

And about Chastain, I think she might fit the role. She has a weird face and attitude, more on the cold bitch side than, you know, "january embers", but as long as they downplay that aspect I think she might pull it off.

You're such a nigger that you think a boarded up two story house is a mansion. That's fucking pathetic.

Yes because literally every movie with a terrible RT score flops.
Have you not been paying attention?

They will have it on screen. They just won't have the part where she likes the abuse even though that would make a powerful statement to how fucked up life is for abuse victims.

>King kino arrives a month after King flop
what a world

...

The dark tower was the worst movie I've ever seen in the last 5 years
What the fuck were they thinking

they might, but they'd do this .
Too misogynistic for modern audiences to have complex and flawed female characters.

>What the fuck were they thinking

Where is this pic from? I don't remember it.

Hollywood isn't being that on the nose with its rampant pedophilia
Yet

That said, the producers will probably get the actors to play out *that* scene and circulate the tapes at their huge coke parties.

I think it's gonna be pretty fucking good based off what I've seen.

kino

I'm not overly fond of the look. It has that Platinum Dunes 'shininess' to it.

>DERRT
