Unabomber tore a new one for all the leftists who think primitive societies were egalitarian in any way in his "Critique of Anarcho-Primitivism".
Primitive societies usually had a clearly defined hierarchy(typically either the strongest warrior or the elder would decide shit, also genders weren't equal at all despite what some say) and a concept of private ownership, both in terms of personal belongings and even borders(tribesmen would kill members of rival tribes who wandered into their territory). What few "uncontacted" tribes we have records of also seem to corroborate this. Also, even many animals have a concept of territory and will kill rivals if they wander in theirs.
"Muh primitive communism" is drivel that is not supported by almost anything we've discovered about primitive tribes and authors who argue for it always go to great lengths to cherry pick examples and twist facts to make it seem like it's not.
