There was an article on the FAZ that said that the NPD won't take part in the elections in a few areas, so that their voters will give their vote to the AfD. Since then they seemed to backpedaled as they put up advertisements that said that only pussies vote for the AfD and men vote for the NPD. Which is a good move, I guess. The less the NPD associates with the AfD, the better it is for the AfD.
I'd say that is a wasted vote, but then again a vote less for CDU/CSU/SPD/Grüne is at least something. I'd even go as far as to say that a vote for die Linke is not completely a waste.
