Need some bootiful Irishmen

Hello! A special message to my Irish friends out there.

>what man has the best Irish voice? are there any politicians or poets, actors or playwrights of old or new who have beautiful irish accents?

i'm in an upcoming Irish play at Uni, and would love an Irishman's advice on who I can study to perfect this dialect. I think its a gorgeous accent, so melodious and yet a bit coarse.

anybody?

>also, general Ireland thread.
what do you guys think of Britain, and you can be honest.

what are some of your favorite parts of irish culture

shameless

The Irish are faggots

ah that explains why none of them are coming outta the woodwork

Minister for Sport is the best speaker in the house. He's an independent, Shane Ross.

its a bit strange to me, a beautiful voice, to be sure, but his accent is fairly anglocized. is that common in modern irelad? that the leprechaun speakers have petered out?

or is just that some parts of ireland have more british influence on their dialects

cmoon where are ya, Ireland?
someone's actually trying to talk about you for once.

shameless

>or is just that some parts of ireland have more british influence on their dialects

A lot of Irish people are actually ethnically Norman, the troubles are about Class Warfare, the Norman Irish were ousted by Protestants.

Best Ireland here to remind you that worst Ireland are a bunch of disloyal treacherous socialist murderous rebel scumbags.

Also their accents are pure shite so they are.

You're welcome Ulster, for all the service I gave you.
Stay strong and stay separate.
Fuck the Taigs.

huh never knew that. ousted in what sense?

>anybody?
Listen to Joe Brolly, a sports pundit, he has a great Irish Accent that is very typical of the North East.

The nicest accent, friendly that is, is the Kerry accent.

Another nice accent is the Kildare accent which is very easy to understand for Americans.

The Norman-Irish ruled Ireland until Cromwell came and dispossessed them of their lands.

is cromwell revered or reviled by the irish naow?

Ireland is gay. My dads from Belfast and I have my citizenship but I'm still treated like shit for being an outsider(I spend half the year there).

Bunch of xenophobes. Country is beautiful though.

thanks, maen, really truly appreciated.
ill look 'em up now.

Sup Forums wasn't an asshole today.

>cromwell
reviled, the English literally dug up his body and held a trial and executed him.

when I visited around seventh grade, even then i could pick up on some anti-american sentiments, more so by some rural folk, running stores and such.

the english did so, but do the irish share the hatred?

OY TOP OF THE MORNIN TO YA INNIT

GOD BLESSED BE THY EARLY MORNIN WONDERIN BOUTDER DAY GONE MORROW WINTER GREEN SUMMERS AIR TINKIN BOUT DEY WOMENS FORLORN WORN LONGBOTTOM BLOSSOMS INNIT

>but do the irish share the hatred?
He came close to ethnically cleansing areas and towns in Ireland.

EASY DOES IT LADDY WHEN YA OL PATTY MICK DICK SLICK PRICKS YA WOMEN INNIT

literally nobody speaks with that stereotype, maybe Donegal might be the origin of it.

Dáithí Ó Sé obviously.

hup bejesus

w.b. yeats, is that you?

Liam Neeson, Gerry Kelly. Colin Murray or anyone with an accent from Ulster. Northern accents are far nicer than southern ones and the Dublin accent is worst accent.

so.....yeah?
im imagining that some southern irish folk, or non norman irish, "the stereotypical irish" wouldve liked cromwell's actions

>Dublin accent
Sooooo ugly, Kerry accent is very safe, you know what I mean, it is very friendly, but I don't understand 90% of what they're talking about.

yeah, just looked up the Kerry one.

beautiful, but sorta your typical leprechaun sound.

That's Bullshit. A lot of ethnic Irish who moved to Norman ruled towns took on Norman surnames and customs.

I don't know about you guys but the Belfast accent scares the shit out of me.
I'm English btw.

GUILTY AS A VOLATILE SAILOR LAD

SEEINS AS I DID THE CRIME I RECKON ILL BE DOIN THE TIME BUT NOT EFORE I VISITS ME FAVORITE PUB AND BELTS OUT ME FAVORITE SONG AGAINST THOSE GOD DAMNED RANGERS

Am, am, he literally murdered everyone.

The Scots did no better when De Bruce invaded Ireland. they also nearly ethnically cleansed areas of Ireland.

You Americans only know the Jewish version of that through Braveheart.

There's a spectrum; the very North East is scariest across the country to the South West which is the most friendly.

to self-deprecate, i genuinely do feel guilty about the sparse history of ireland (and europe in general) that we receive in schooling.

seems like its just the greeks and romans, a little bit of chink action, then christopher columbus, then only american history.

Here's some of the best accents in Ireland from Donegal which has a dozen slightly different accents and where Gaelige is spoken in the West and the Ulster Scot dialect in the East. youtu.be/99wSTVMRkIk

need to step up their accent game. I can understand every word. Fucking let down.

Say no more my friend:

West Waterford is more like Cork, and East Waterford tends to be more plain.

oooh, thanks, love.

sweet and simpler, less cartoony then the Kerry.

duuude.

duuuuuuuuude.

HE'S A SPASTIC...HAAWWWuuwwwAAk

Fuck off west Brit Jew

You wouldn't understand my accent. The part I'm from we speak with the Ulster Scots dialect and foreigners never understand me especially North Americans

Rubber bandits? Gtfo here with that shit.

...

Leinster detected.

I like Luke Ming Flanagan's accent, County Roscommon AKA rural central Ireland.

> youtube.com/watch?v=AbHef6CLCFM

Ulster and the rubber bandits were never popular here nor is any other RTE shite.

Here's the accent and dialect from my area. Let me know if you can understand it. youtu.be/EIpPFX94KMA

a good hardy, clean accent. noice.

making compilations of the best accents now, added to the list

De-essing please.

holy shit, that whistle that keeps creeping into his voice.
glorious.

hey irish peeps, the character im playing is from munster, southeastern ireland.

any peeps from there?

whereabouts in munster? cork, kerry, waterford, tipperary?

I speak in multiple accents, I think I have ass burgers down my pants.

My mother has a strong English Londoner accent which totally throws mine off kilter.

People say I sound English to posh to American, I also tend to speak like Northern Irish people naturally when I try to sound more Irish even though I'm from the deep south.
