The first episode, Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire.
I was born just before the Simpsons got their own show.
The Simpsons and I are the same age, and yet the show still keeps going.

Underage fags

4 days before my birthday

based

i was born before the simpsons was on TV

I don't need reminding that everyone else on this website is teenagers.

Some Enchanted Evening, episode #13

Right on the day.

this might upset a lot of people but i was born when simpsons was already bad

Do you think Michael Jackson would have molested Bart if he could?

'Brother, can you spare two dimes?' came out on Aug 27th 1 year and 1 day before I was born. If you mean after we were actually born it's the season 5 premier, 'Homer's barbershop quartet', which I think is the better episode.

...

I actually like the Armin Tamzarian ep

hated it as a kid

This

...

Nice, pretty kino episode

>season 1 episode 1: 26,700,000 viewers

Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment.

Let's just jump to the middle

Sadly still enough viewers to make more episodes

...

It's amazing how the Simpsons has witnessed not just its own downfall but also the death of mainstream television. No syndicated television show could even dream of pulling in those sorts of numbers today.

...

Big Bang Theory unironically gets around 20 million viewers per episode

Where's all the Sneed posting?

Not too shabby. One of the episodes that blinded the ongoing audience from realising the show was past its prime.

...

>Pic related
Whoops

Itchy & Scratchy & Marge was aired six days after I was born.
'Tis the Fifteenth Season was released on my actual birthday years later.

Nah, highest ever was 18 million. Which, considering that it's the most popular sitcom on television at the moment AND the population is much higher then it's really nothing. Keep in mind that the Simpsons was once considered edgy and counter culture. The more mainstream sitcoms were pulling double those numbers easily.

People just don't watch television any more, or at least not in the unifying massive numbers they used to. Even Game of Thrones, which is probably by far the most 'in' thing at the moment gets only 10 million. Compare that to the MASH finale, which got 110 million viewers. Almost half the entire country was watching the same programme at the same time. Outside of football that just doesn't happen today.

...

>Bart's Nightmare
>The family discovers that someone has eaten every last cookie in the cookie jar. The culprit turns out to be Bart, who regrets gorging on the snack, especially when he has a terrible nightmare in which he is only an inch tall and nearly crushed by giant cookies in the kitchen. Lisa then awakens Bart, who is relieved that his experience was only a dream--but he seems to have developed a severe cookie phobia as a result.

Season 3 of the Tracey Ullman Show. Before the Simpsons was even its own show.
