Why was Christ sent to save humanity? We did nothing to deserve forgiveness, what gives?
Why was Christ sent to save humanity? We did nothing to deserve forgiveness, what gives?
> Humanity is seperated by God
> It is our will which seperates us and therefore our responsibility
> Humanity and God can never be one as long as our wills are opposite
> A painful realignment is needed to become one with the creator
> Christ shows us the path to righteousness
> His sacrifice and resurrection allow us to be remade through him and become one with the creator
The love of a Creator
Can we truly become Christ-like though? We're too flawed
>Why was Christ sent to save humanity?
Because it's a stupid story.
How can anything be contrary to the will of the omnipotent creator of everything?
>/Thread
Jesus is alright
>We did nothing to deserve forgiveness
Guess God loves us a whole bunch, eh.
Why didn't god himself just come and tell everyone to stop being cunts? Instead he sent his child to be tortured and killed. I'm starting to think god may be a woman, because none of it makes sense.
Nigga, He is.
He is, was, and will forever be
It makes sense, angels get a free ride to heaven and they do nothing. Humans were abandoned in a savage world of kill or be killed.
>How can anything be contrary to the will of the omnipotent creator of everything?
Have you heard of the concept of free will?
Evil is that which is contrary to God.
God allows evil so that we may be able to make the righteous choice.
>why didn't god himself just come
Jesus is God.
Dope-ass description, brother
Well, for being all knowing and all powerful he did a bad job, famalam.
Why are there so many Christfags on this board, what's the secret to finding out Christianity is god-tier religion? Agnostic here just trying to make the sense of religion, never having read the bible before. What do you guys know that i don't? Where do you sense God the most?
That's grace. You did nothing to deserve it, you can't do anything to earn it.
God is an absolute madman. This is the guy who once told his people to build a bronze snake to heal them and then later they had started treating it like an idol so it had to be torn down.

Yes, and it can't exist, in any meaningful sense, if there is an omnipotent creator. In such a situation things would only happen because he willed them to happen.
look at the historical evidence for the resurrection.

Quick catch up for those not in the know.
I guess we did deserve forgiveness, why else are we here?
You'll make it brah. Read up on some Augustine. Start going to Mass at an FSSP, SPX, or traditional parish. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Pursue tradition and sanctifying grace relentlessly
How do you know, were you there?

not seeing the logic here.
Jesus was just another dune coon.
Your premise is flawed. There is no Christ only human beings. He was not sent to save humanity. That's a fairy tail. You don't deserve forgiveness so don't worry about it. You're not getting any.
In case we sin apparently, Mankind Adam was not suppose to have the knowledge of evil, having an inherent good inclination, ignorance of evil would have made mankind 100% sinless without any evil. There is no "Original Sin" in the sense that the first sin of Eve race mixing with the Serpent Satan The Devil stains us, according to the Bible we need Jesus because we are bound to sin eventually and because all sins are against God as well as the individual or individuals we sinned again, even if it was ourselves too, we need Jesus' atonement because no one is ever suppose to sin against God because he is so holy. From what I understand. Why Satan the Serpent was allowed to be in the Garden of Eden and not immediately thrown into the Lake of Fire the moment he fell is a serious question to me. It might just prove God is evil. But Nordic Aryan Adamic man was made in God's Divine Image all the same, whatever the case, and that is the only humanity. Adaptation, or "Micro Evolution" as an atheist might call it, doesn't apply to Adam mankind's genome, Adam's genome is static in that manner, rather than dynamic that he would adapt through "micro evolution"
