Of course nobody thinks the wall would be effective, leaf. About half the illegals come by overstaying visas. The wall wouldn't help with that. The wall wouldn't stop illegals with ladders and rope either. Or tunnels, or boats.
The wall might reduce illegal immigration, but that isn't the point. The point is, in a world of PC cunts who are so afraid of saying the wrong thing they even cringe at the description of illegals as "Illegal" and who are terrified, falling all over themselves to avoid being racist, we have one guy just saying "Fuck it. Build a wall."
How's that for a symbol? Twenty billion dollars of concrete and steel in a massive structure on our southern border. Combine that with mass deportations and better eVerify systems. Might work, might not, but it's a huge fucking effort and the point is we're trying and we aren't afraid.
We've had one or two generations of pussies in power. One or two generations wasted by this weak cringing culture of safe spaces, white guilt, everything is racist etc. The pendulum is doing what it always does though. Swinging back towards us.
Trump will lose. The man is a constant, ceaseless gaffe. He doesn't really understand politics, the law, current events, economics, or morality. Trump is, metaphorically, like the wall. It's a dumb idea - but it's also a big and earth changing one.
The point isn't that Trump will win. Trump is just the start. The point is that it's our turn now. Trump is the fucking preview.
Modern life has the internet as the central component. It's where we shop, get news, interact with friends, find entertainment. The baby boomers are losing prominence. Our generation is gaining control. Our generation is molded by the internet. And the thing is - we, me, you, pol, WE are setting the tone for internet.
Trump is our opening bid. Trump is the shape of things to come. Give me four years of Hillary and see who we put up in 2020.
