Who has the more compelling arguments?

Peter has a nice doggo with him but Arthur knows Willy Power. I don't know if Peter can compete with the richest man in Killinaskully.

Why is it so much effort to get the dole? Do I have to provide evidence I'm looking for employment the first time I go to the dole office?

Attached: 1520782688789.jpg (2130x2630, 3.41M)

If you're too lazy to even become a dole scrounger, there isn't much hope for you.

>Peter has a nice doggo with him but Arthur knows Willy Power
Don't forget that Peter is a relative of the legendary Joe Joyce,he has strong Gaelic genes
Are you actually looking for employment or would you only do it so that you can get that sweet, sweet dole money?

Attached: geliwt.jpg (800x800, 92K)

The latter. I don't actually care about the money that much myself, but my family is basically forcing me to go on the dole.

What are you having tonight?

hello lads, Im planning to visit Ireland soon, and Im wondering if you can give me your thoughts on where I might visit

Attached: 1496741054572.png (397x386, 77K)

Why Dundalk?

its near Northern Ireland, and a northern city in general. Just want to cover as much of the country as I can

>What are you having tonight
Irish stew and cheesecake.

Attached: 1493081439617.jpg (674x1000, 122K)

Only had one Irish stew in my life
8/10 quality stew desu, meat was a little tough
How long does it take you to prepare this?
Are you taking the ferry?

Attached: greiwen.jpg (380x546, 50K)

I looked into trips from manchester/liverpool, too expensive

What did you eat for dinner?

Attached: 1517268433095.png (740x720, 771K)

Why not just go to the north? Not wanting to change your Euros to Pounds?
I don't really see the point in wanting to be near the north either, especially to such a depressing place as Dundalk. You'd be better off going to scenic border county like Sligo or Donegal.

>Just want to cover as much of the country as I can
Good attitude. Ireland's a small country and it's a waste to stay holed up in one place for an entire holiday.

what do you mean?

well, if I can keep down expenses as much as possible, staying on the euro would be nice. Donegal seems like it might take to long to reach, but maybe I can go from Galway to Sligo.

Any places you really like?

You can take the ferry from France, will cost you about 100 euros,a bit more if you want a cabin
>What did you eat for dinner?
Going to cook a fish now whose English name I don't know, just going to call him Knowledge in honour of a certain salmon
>you
Did you eat out again?

>Any places you really like?
Kerry's nice, both Killarney and Dingle.
There's also a place called Cong just north of Galway. It's the site of not only a lovely castle/hotel but also the ruins of an ancient monastery. It's built on a lake so the scenery around is beautiful too.

>and a northern city in general.
Dundalk isn't a city. It's actually an incredibly depressing town.

Attached: 1492803503544.jpg (908x1080, 131K)

damn

what about Cavan?

That's somehow worse. Other than Donegal, the border counties are very bleak places.

Attached: 1491351886448.png (468x585, 211K)

Cavan has some alright spots but I wouldn't make it a priority.

>That's somehow worse
How the hell is Cavan worse than Louth?

>Other than Donegal, the border counties are very bleak places
Sligo's good too, if you count it as a border county.

hmmm

I have nothing against visiting it, but I'll bet the trip up there wont be cheap

Attached: 1520096532834.jpg (645x773, 82K)

what's so bad about that image? I think it looks great

Attached: 67254677_p0.png (1000x1414, 1.69M)

>How the hell is Cavan worse than Louth?
They're both fairly shite. There's very little between them in terms of which is worse.

>if you count it as a border county.
I don't because it's not.

The roads aren't great in Cavan either, so you'd really want to have a reason to go there.

Attached: 1517690080846.png (1328x1210, 1.42M)

>I'll bet the trip up there wont be cheap
Are you driving or relying on the buses and trains?
I should mention that some of the tourist-y places just over the border accept Euros, but I wouldn't count on it as consistent.

>There's very little between them in terms of which is worse
Bullshit. Louth is per capita the most depressing place in the country. Cavan doesn't have much but at least it's not a glorified motorway with an abnormally large crime rate.

>I don't because it's not
I don't either but it's officially counted as a border region for some reason. I guess because it's still close to the border.

>Are you driving or relying on the buses and trains?

either or. Do you have flixbuses?

>Cavan doesn't have much
That's the thing with Cavan though - there's almost nothing there. At least Louth has two incredibly depressing towns and a motorway.

Attached: 1496383786111.png (650x920, 489K)

>what's so bad about that image
Well it's ok, I guess, though it's a bit dark and blurry, looks like it was scanned.

Wouldn't only the countryside be an improvement over some depressing towns and large road infrastructure?

Their accents alone are worth the visit

>Do you have flixbuses?
They take very long don't they?

Attached: 1520799259283.png (1200x1200, 1.94M)

>either or
I'd recommend driving if you can due to the state of Ireland's public transport.

>Do you have flixbuses?
Not by the look of it. What's so special about their buses?

The scenery's nice and there's a decent castle. Cavan may have next to nothing but Louth's depressiveness is worse than nothing.

took a bus to Bologna once and it only took about 2 hours. Never really had a problem with them

Ireland's public transport is terrible. You have been warned.

Booked one for Vienna because one of my friends is afraid of flying and it will take about 12 hours until we arrive
How was it?
I suppose Bologna is a popular destination with all the students there

Attached: 1520798028718.gif (465x670, 1.8M)

pretty much your standard bus. Seats arent super comfy, but they'll do in a pinch. Buses were on time when they were supposed to take off. No real complaints

The general North Louth - South Armagh - South Down area is one of the nicest on the island I think. Plus it's convenient to stop by if you're going between Dublin and Belfast, 2 cities anyone should be visiting if they do come here since they're the biggest and it's worth seeing the contrast between the 2. Most depressing thing about here is Sinn Féin support really

Think you mean that is what makes it the best thing. True nationalism as compared to the laissez faire (which is an accurate way of the describing the "muh demographics" ideology) variety seen in the rest of the country.

>Are you having a laugh?
No, the Cooley peninsula, Ring of Gullion and the Mourne Mountains are all nice, scenic areas

>But they're both shite cities.
By international standards yes, but they're still worth visiting ahead of any other urban centre on this island

Attached: 1506602715775.png (711x664, 314K)

>but they're still worth visiting ahead of any other urban centre on this island
That's faint praise.

>By international standards yes
By Irish standards too.

>they're still worth visiting ahead of any other urban centre on this island
Urban centres are shit and shouldn't be prioritized in visiting in the first place. Most other cities and towns in Ireland are more pleasant locations due to their not being worn out, overpopulated post-industrial Victorian nightmares with a penchant for violent crime.

deich nóiméad
Or something

>worth visiting ahead of any other urban centre on this island
Limerick,Castlebar,Cork,Galway...

True but with that attitude why come to Ireland at all when there better countries to visit?

>Limerick,Castlebar,Cork,Galway...
Dublin and Belfast have more things for tourists to do than those places. The reality is that the west coast can't compete with the east coast

Attached: 1518349969678.gif (1053x1001, 529K)

>True but with that attitude why come to Ireland at all when there better countries to visit?
The natural scenery, which you yourself brought up.

>Dublin and Belfast have more things for tourists to do
Yeah like get pickpocketed and be verbally assaulted by the homeless.

>the west coast can't compete with the east coast
Which is why Ireland's Ancient East is still struggling to compete with The Wild Atlantic Way?

>why come to Ireland at all when there better countries to visit?
I often ask myself the same question when I see tourists in our cities.

>The reality is that the west coast can't compete with the east coast
Only Dubs genuinely believe that. The Atlantic Ocean is vastly superior to the polluted Irish Sea.

Find out more if you can. You could be descended by military diaspora or even deposed nobility.

>The natural scenery, which you yourself brought up.
But Ireland's scenery is shit since it's mostly low, deforested farmland. In fact, the areas I listed are more mountainous and forested which is why they're nice relative to most of the island. People can get nicer scenery outside of here

>Yeah like get pickpocketed and be verbally assaulted by the homeless.
Dublin and Belfast are pretty safe cities by international standards, you would have to be deluded/sheltered to think otherwise. Plus they still do have more for tourists to do

>Which is why Ireland's Ancient East is still struggling to compete with The Wild Atlantic Way?
Wild Atlantic Way got there first and has been marketed more I think. Dublin still gets the most visitors by a big margin though

Attached: 1507357239332.png (350x270, 98K)

>Dublin and Belfast are pretty safe cities by international standards
But unsafe by the standards of the rest of the country.

>Ireland's scenery is shit
Spoken like someone entrenched in the pit that is Louth. Take a tour around your own country before spouting such nonsense.

>Dublin and Belfast are pretty safe cities by international standards
Obviously anywhere is safe if you compare it to Detroit and Damascus, by the standards here they're horrible. Why visit an ugly city with tons of criminals when you could visit a nice place without the chance of being shot by a transvestite crimelord?

i-is dublin really that bad?

After spending twenty minutes traveling into battle being flummoxed by gentle slopes only to get noscoped at 800m while my shells bounce off everything I'm inclined to agree.
>transvestite crimelord
Now I'm intrigued.

Pretty much. It's nothing like other European capitals. It's basically just a big, dirty, ugly, poorly designed town.

Attached: 1500410293217.jpg (1200x1697, 278K)

Certain areas in Dublin are dodgy such as Ballymun or Finglas but anywhere a tourist would go is perfectly fine to visit. As for Belfast, I've never felt threatened walking around the centre of it. It's definitely improved massively since the Troubles

>Spoken like someone entrenched in the pit that is Louth. Take a tour around your own country before spouting such nonsense.
As I've said, the Cooley peninsula is one of the nicest parts of the island and since Louth is small, that makes up a big portion of it. It's a better country. Besides, I'm not saying other counties are shit. Wicklow Mountains and Slieve Bloom Mountains are nice areas

>Why visit an ugly city with tons of criminals when you could visit a nice place without the chance of being shot by a transvestite crimelord?
Because the small increase in probability of facing crime is easily offset by the abundance of extra things to do?

A lot of people outside of Dublin hate it because it gets more attention from the government and outside world. This happens in a lot of countries with their capitals. Hence they badmouth it

It's like mini-London, in more ways than one.

>poorly designed town
That would be implying some thought was put into Dublin's layout.
