The Snartemo sword is a 1500 year old Migration Age sword found in Norway.
The handle of the sword is adorned with gold ornaments of human figures and fantasy creatures and the buckle is decorated with animal heads.
The sword is adorned with geometric patterns and swastikas.
The Germans tried to get a hold of it during the occupation of Norway but were unsuccesful.

Fun fact: the eura ringsword is an example of a migration era sword, which were based on the roman spatha. 80 extant pieces have been found across europe, 14 of them in funland, with the one found in eura being an example of a later type made in the 600's. Other pieces have been found in england, uppland and lombardy.
