I don't know why people hate Russian commieblocks so much...

I don't know why people hate Russian commieblocks so much. You get the benefits of living in an urban AND rural area at the same time. When you group a bunch of people into the same area, it saves on room for the natural environment but also allows you to enjoy the benefits of a close-knit community. When will you move to Russia Sup Forums?

>I don't know why people hate Russian commieblocks so much.
Because you've never lived in one.

It's alright if they're new.

high population density of poor people who share the same hospitals, schools, parks and other.
The blocks themselves are alright.

I have lived in an apartment building before though. It's comfy.

>an apartment building
You never lived in apartment buildings in Яussia.

Aren’t russian ones extremely shitty?

Like one shared toilet per floor kind of shitty?

It's not the design I like, it's the concept. A city composed entirely of apartment buildings allows for plenty of public space, green spaces and still able to maintain a large population.

Because they are poorly built and not maintained. Russians are also bad people which makes close-knit communities impossible. Watch this video about a Russian explaining why Finnish commieblocks are better than r*ssian commieblocks: youtube.com/watch?v=h34FxEpIaaU

I live in a Korean commieblock and it's pretty comfy. High population density is the way to go if your city doesn't have nice old architecture to make the low density worth it. Most of ours was destroyed so up we go.
I want to watch but I don't know Russian.

>one shared toilet per floor
lol who said that?

t.commieblocker

>AND rural area at the same time
???

We don't like them because they look like shit and because the walls might as well be made out of paper.
Good luck trying to relax when someone from the other side of the building is blasting butyrka and you can hear the bass.

There are no expensive commieblocks for the upper and middle class?

I've no idea about Russian commieblocks, but here they're genuinely great.

That's not a real apartment block, it looks like subsidized housing in Detroit.

Pic related would be more similar to a new commieblock.

It's not fully constructed yet but I live literally across the building site and it's fucking huge.

They only advantage of commieblock is that there is always a gym/supermarket/whatever nearby

Reminds me of home...
>pic related, my home

If it's higher than three stories they have to put in a lift.

There are commieblocks for everybody

So it's basically the same inside(he doesn't actually say anything interesting about the flat itself) except they have a hole in the door for letters instead of postboxes in Russia. Personally, I would prefer postboxes.
And just keys for the entrance door instead of usual speakerphones + code or rfid keys in Russia.

All the rest is about "free" infrastructure(like a personal parking palce etc), that is better indeed than in Russia.

That's brutalist as fuck. Pic related is in Belgrade.

Most commieblocks here (except temporary 'cans' made to house flood victims) are unironically good though. Almost guaranteed cable internet, decent build quality, lifts, most are air conditioned etc.

That must be an industrial complex, right? Or the buildings are much smaller than they look.

Those unaesthetic commieblocks are actually bad for your health, but more traditional apartments are comfortable. I lived in an apartment through most of my life and I miss that. People seemed more social and willing to help.

there are tons of commieblocks in Canada

>That's brutalist as fuck
>tfw you're just view your city through Google maps

Don't know about Russia but the commieblock I live in is mad comfy. It does like shit but why live alone in a house when this is galaxies cheaper, has all the space I need and is in the middle of the city.
Always quiet aswell but most of my neighbours are old people so I probably got lucky

They have this charm to them that you dream about, but only if you grew up there.
Remember the wars? Your commieblock vs the other commieblock?
Chestnut wars, wars for cherry plum trees?
Disputes for girls?
Basketball, football field wars?
Neighborhood wars? Pot wars? Speed wars? Pub wars?
I was so alive back then
My gang was in charge of the circular concrete bench, the schoolyard, the soda factory and blind passage (most bloody fights in tight commie block passage took place there, many broken bones and blood vessels).
The entire neighborhood united the commieblocks when the orange weed came and deals were made with the speed cookers from Doboj.
Drug dealers made thousands until the cops got involved, then they worked for them until the cops got arrested.
Our neighborhood was more of the business/drug area in the town, we didnt fight too much with others but it was never out of the question.
There is a psycho neighborhood, we tease them because that part of the town used to be muslim before the war and the mosques although empty still howl their demonic chants which fucks up the people and makes them retarded.
There is also a hill neighborhood, larges in the town, one that runs the hooligan gang of the towns football club supporters, idiots mostly but they walk in large numbers and rarely leave a dispute.
I saw the world much differently then

I can smell the piss stained corridors through my monitor

No one pisses in corridors, you degenerate.

visited a friend who lived in an estonian planned commieblock area and it was pretty comfy

>That must be an industrial complex, right? Or the buildings are much smaller than they look.
no, these buildings are not industrial
it's just the cheapest commie-blocks ever, no windows, no nothing

>paper thin walls so you can hear the neighbors fucking and can smell if they are smoking
>really low ceiling that makes you feel trapped and claustrophobic
>no space for anything
>depressive looking
its overall shit

You've seen nothing user

are french apartments just nicer commieblocks?

Attached: paris-apartments[1].jpg (1440x960, 321K)

those were the original commieblocks user

That's how student dorms are.

They look better when they are insulated and have colour. Pictured house is only partially done, but still looks better than 90% commieblocks.

Jesus fuck m8

Fully insulated. They do 9 storey high buildings as well, but can't find a fully insulated picture of them. Pic related.
