I love these archaic-looking mediterranean towns and villages, very aesthetic.

nice

I was mainly looking for a blanket term, and "southern european" would seem too inclusive since I'm only talking about the latin countries

OP here
That's all i have for now. You can continue if you want

God damn user, all those photos are comfy as fucks, but this one wins it. I want to spend rest of my life in there. I've done a little roadtrip through spain last summer and it was fucking amazing, basically any random small villige in the middle of nowhere was still fucking beautiful and comfy. Spain is underrated af

architecture-wise i think its pretty much pic-related
>atlantic style = red roof & white apartments
>castillian style = brown houses
>southern style = white stone houses
its a generalization but you get the idea
very pretty
>caurel
eso no es galicia?
i find it odd that most tourists just stick to the beaches and think good weather is the only thing

Attached: housestyle.png (1280x876, 34K)

Thanks OP, nice pics.

We would like to exploit a bit more the interior, but tourists obviously always end up in the coast or in Madrid

>red roof & white apartments

depends on the area, you can have roofs made of slate

Attached: 573ac060f3f86.jpg (635x476, 76K)

well, most of our tourits come from snowy or rainy places, don't think they want to see the same shit in northern Spain if they can enjoy a warm tranquil sea

Attached: ola-grande.jpg (2000x1000, 356K)

Asturias? Galicia?
yeah but the general rule in modern buildings are red roofs & white walls since the 80's or so
would make more sense to have dark colors to absorb heat in the north desu

Piornedo

>yeah but the general rule in modern buildings are red roofs & white walls since the 80's or so

not in those areas, it's ilegal to use non slate tiles, actually slate produces asked the Xunta to remove the ban of slate tiles in areas with red roofs

We rented car and went from Barcelona along the coast to Valencia, visited some of the mountains and local villages along the road, also the Delta of Ebro river was quite nice. Then we went to the Madrid to visit our friend and then back to Barcelona through Zaragoza. So we saw quite a lot of the countryside, also spent one night in some town called Motilla del Palancar, and it was so beautiful, way better then the overcrowded touristy coast.

>dat lack of trees

i'm glad i live in the north

Also Vallibona, it was about 30 minutes journey on narrow forest road from nearest town.

I lived for a year in a flat in pic related, my living room was open to the Alhambra.
Fuck I miss the place.

Isn't that the town in GT6's photo mode?

Based Granada. I worked there once, would gladly retire in that town.

The only thing I have ever wanted out of life was to work on an olive Farm in southern Spain. Maybe sit on a rock and have a slice of cheese bread and onion for my lunch and drink sambuca after a hard day's work. But I can't even have that.

Holy Toledo!

Best town I ever been to, I was able to sky in winter, go to the beach in summer, visit a desert in spring, stunning architecture, great people, free tapas every time you order a drink, great weather, just a great place all round

Spain looks very nice, excited to be visiting soon t b h

La mancha tiene bastante blanco. Pueblos de Burgos o rioja no se alejan del modelo de casa cantabro.

sadly the Alcazar got destroyed several times (Napoleonic Invasion of the Civil War). Nowdays it doesn't look like the one of the middle ages.

Why are czech villages so boring. Most of them are literally just a bunch of commie looking detached houses along two straight roads. This shit right there is in UNESCO as a traditional czech village. Every single one you posted here beats it.

And an aerial view. Literally definiton of "meh" in urbanism.

Las Merindades is based af. Home of some of my ancestors...

>tfw american
>will never have beautiful cities and towns
Just kill me, what's the point of this shithole cunt? Maybe I can just buy a spanish or portugese ghost town and turn it into a resort.

>Maybe I can just buy a spanish or portugese ghost town
Probably it would be very cheap
