wat
Do you mean modern or contemporary ?
I'd say we make the best skyscrapers right now, so supermodernist /neofuturistic skyscrapers
it's old art deco before modernists ruined the movement . The 30s nyc skyline was all traditionalist art deco
ask question
get answer
what more do you want? it's not that interesting of a thread
Yeah but I miss concrete
Art Deco is a style
nyc in the 30s is so sexy. It still is sexy but in the 30s it looked more impressive compared to another city. Now it's no longer special
you are retarded lad
like this?
holy shit what an eysore what did europoors mean by that
I actually like the burj
those are some pretty cool buldings
it's impressive but not beautiful
what does Sup Forums think of the new world trade center
I think the ArtDeco style is the best. But would you rather live inside an older building, with small windows; or a modern building, where the entire wall is a window?
i think it's pretty :3
what happened to the other buildings that were gonna get built?
It would look fine without that terrible spire
mediocre glass/steel body. horrible spire on top that looks like it's still under construction.
?? That's from the 70s and its gonna het renovated by AOM
Complete shit. Dull shape. Songdo skyscraper ripoff actually. 2000s cladding. Tacky and horrendous cheating spire. It doesn't do justice to the twins at all.
Pretty lame considering what it's supposed to represent but I like how it reflects the city around it
I already live in a room where the entire wall is a window. I keep the curtains drawn almost 24/7, because there are no blind-spots to hide my computer monitor.
Twin towers were much uglier than the OWTC tho
the jew is right
I actually love that tower
Everyteim
I like it in certain contexts. but if you just focus on the building, and ignore its surroundings, it's not great.
I'd rather live in an older building but with somewhat taller windows. I wouldn't feel comfortable living in a glass box
The 1WTC is a lifetime supply of vanilla ice cream. It's fine and good, whatever, but we could have used the opportunity to make something far better/more interesting/more iconic.
Also for OP, new skyscrapers can look good, it's just that the vast majority of developers today (in the US) don't give a fuck and just want to maximize profit. This one going up in Brooklyn is pretty fucking cool-looking, though
seems like developers care more about the people who will live/work inside, than the city's aesthetic.

I miss the twin towers
The twin towers were fucking eyesores
The tower is a monstrosity but the view sure is nice.
What does an appartment cost there? 7-digit probably.
the twin towers were ugly, though
>probably
Lol Im pretty sure the one with that bathroom view is 100 million
>2017
>building multi million dollar commie blocks
