maybe the board wouldn't even be so fast if it wasn't for all these retarded shitposting generals like /fr/ /deutsch/ /cum/ etc. etc. I miss the times when these things didn't exist yet
Joseph Ross
As long as people continue discussions from the previous thread, I think we could deal with that.
Xavier Campbell
Mining something like that has some uses for some people though. It makes you realize a pattern when they occur more frequently than usual. For those who aren't fans of grammar cards, that can be an alternative. Of course, if that thing becomes obvious enough to you, you can delete/stop mining such cards after a while.
Anyone can translate this sentence? 彼女見えて世話焼きなんだ Context: 信じらね...アンたちを助けるためにあのトムが... 確かあいつアンとは仲すごくが悪かった 彼女見えて世話焼きなんだ

One day I'm going to speak Japanese.

amaterasu.tindabox.net/guide/ It seems to be broken, nothing is loading for me. Does anyone have a mirror or a backup of the downloadable version?

If I google this shit, it would be filled with NSFW stuff. where does the いかせる of 童貞をいかせる? 行く?If so, then it literally means making the virginity go away.
Sebastian Bell
>行く? I don't know what else
Mason Garcia
I'm making a stretch here, but maybe it's 逝く. Which in a way is the same as 行く, so you're probably right.
Tried archive sites like wayback machine? Why do you need this particular guide? There are some good alternatives on CoR.
Thomas Turner
>Tried archive sites like wayback machine? Huh, I thought the page was dynamic so it wouldn't get archived, but apparently the webmaster just wiped the pages clean. Thanks. >Why do you need this particular guide? There are some good alternatives on CoR. I heard it was very good with informal language, which is something I struggle with.
if you came across something like 沙蚕 would you mine it in kanji?
William Wright
that sounds more like protecting your virginity imo
Joseph Carter
If I were to mine it at all, yes.
Nathaniel Wood
Personally I mine everything in kanji so that I can jack off to my kanjigrid
t. autism sufferer
Joshua Morris
Thanks
I don't think it fits with 生かす, at least for this context (taking virginity)
I mean, if I stumble upon it in kanji form, yeah because there is a chance that you'll encounter it that way again. Personal note, I somehow mine animal kanji, even though I never see it in that form because it is hard to distinguish them between other kana cards.

Sort by Kanji Kentei grade and post "Others" section.
You should be learning Japanese with a slower kind of music, though, if that's your intention.
Joshua Sanders
It is my intention, I'll take any recommendations for music suitable for beginners too, hip hop is just fun and I like to listen to all kinds of music to get an appreciation for rhythm and inflecti n

I have learned a lot during my weebest days by singing karaoke songs from anime OP/EDs, that really taught me how to pronounce words and understand romaji, to this day I know a shitton of songs memorized in pure romaji and when I start to sing them, I end up discovering "hey, now that I have actually studied Japanese, I can understand these sentences!".
But yeah, hard to recommend something when most songs I've listened to are isolated tracks from artists that made into anime OP/ED or doujin albums, which are not a good place to look for because it'll be harder to find lyrics to them. Unless, of course, you just want exposure to the sounds.
Here's a huge-ass list I made once upon a time, it's too much a hassle to translate all that shit, but I hope something tickles you fancy: 55chan.org/lang/res/175.html#1518

Thank god our mother tounges are similar, and i can kinda understand your jungle language

I have a close friend who is Puerto Rican/Mexican and grew up speaking a mixture of those Spanishes. Whenever I'm watching soccer streams in a foreign language and I guess it's maybe Portuguese he says, "no, there's nowhere near enough bullshit, it's probably carribean French."
Im looking for a bento box, it cant be pinku (thats japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has to be of 2 or more kotoba (thats japanese for 2 compartments) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it's kawaii [cute]). And it would be nice if it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i dont want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)
I have at least one song of him somewhere, but I don't listen to it that much
Nathan Barnes
no i Search for bento box desu ne.

Seems to have a bug. Updating from my previous version added 16 kanji to my grid that I don't actually have in my Anki deck. These ones: 昌旭勺圭荻銑允匁之弘酉亥脹寅卯巳. My correct count is 3501.
That's probably because it's checking all fields, you gotta input the kanji field name on the first option so it doesn't pick kanji from sample sentences or other decks. If two decks have the same kanji field name, you're screwed, I updated my secondary decks just to change their kanji field names, which is sad but the only workaround I could find.
Ian Rodriguez
Ah, it's including my old RTK deck instead of just my vocab deck. Got it.
Easton Hernandez
Is there a website to watch anime with Japanese subs other than animelon.com?
Jace Lee
Don't think so

I found this site where amateurs submit ero voice recordings.
Most are not very good for listening practice but it's surprisingly usable for a Japanese website.
Wyatt Hall
違う。 無体だ。
Hunter Ross
>it's surprisingly usable for a Japanese website. It's a shame that a technically advanced country like Japan is so backwards when it comes to the Internet
Anyway, please try to keep the thread alive. Going to bed early, I get the feeling I'm getting a cold :(
Jayden Gonzalez
>I get the feeling I'm getting a cold :( Buy some Vitamin C tablets tomorrow. You won't regret it.
Don't settle for placebo doses either. You want 2000mg a day.
