But consider this:
Al Gore invented global warming. Gore was a democrat, and therefor automatically a Shillary Drone. And I don't like Shillary.
Therefore global warming is a hoax.

weak fucking argument, you might as well vote for shillary

>be leftists
>shill for alternative energies but hate nuclear
ebin

How about
>parasitc (((globalists))) are spending unlimited money
>to push a bullshit idea
>using useful idiots
>to sell the idea of carbon people to the plebs
>to enslave mankind through taxation and debt

desu I think it's the oil people who killed nuclear, nuclear is the only way to save us at our current growth rate

The anti-nuclear hippies are just useful idiots

It's true though

They've already done that, they don't need to do it again. Hell them polluting your ground water means they "tax" you to drink water.

The problem is there's a blatant lie in the third panel of the left.

90% of the "world's scientists" not only have no opinion of global warming, but their opinion wouldn't matter anyway.

In the only study cited, over 97% of scientists opinions were discarded.

It's a hoax that lives in cooked figures in cooked computer models from organizations that profit in the billions on selling the lie.

Climate change is real mate. Its just blown out of proportion, the excess of carbon in the air is actually doing good for now as it is promoting plant growth. The planet is greener than ever.

Its called cycles, the environment keeps itself in check

>They've already done that, they don't need to do it again.
What do you mean ''they don't need to''? They do it because they love power. Its not enough that they are rich, every one else needs to be poor and miserable to.

They will continue to do it until we put a noose around their neck.

How about both?

>brings up absolutely nothing about a global Carbon Tax or global oversight committee that snuffs out the little guy and helps Big Oil

My neurons have made electric connection.

Global warming is a natural phenomena and we can't do shit about it.

>false dichotomy

Nuclear is the only feasible way to secure enough energy for the future.

Really makes my cortexes activate

Well for me global warming is a fact, however the greens are opposed to the use of nuclear energy. Making them pretty much as retarded as people saying global warming isnt real.

Better ramp up those carbon taxes goyim. Wouldn't want countries in control of their own industrial output. Should just leave it up to a board of unelected bureaucrats to control your economy. :^)

No you fucking imbecile drongo, just because it keeps itself in check doesn't mean it's impossible for it to get to a state where it's fucked

scientists are idiot savant nerds but when they agree shit's bad on climate then you're the one with a problem

Its a moot point. The main contributors to (((global warming))) are outside of our control. Most shit comes from places like China who dont give two fucks and air/sea travel. Deal with those clusterfucks before trying to blame it on the west

>the environment keeps itself in check
Stop smoking weed bruh. You've gone mad.

It should be a third panel
Retarded people watch a mediocre documentary full of lies, they believe the earth will en so they vote in people who will "create change" by giving tax funds to the "researchers" so they can "research" global warming

When will this meme die

The big oil side, that's true, but ExxonMobil has no control over Milankovitch cycles. The earth has been warming for 10,000 years, pretty much all of recorded history.

The left side of the image is complete diarrhea, the enviros aren't just a bunch of smelly local activist groups or college hippies, they have control of the government and universities and that is who control unlimited wealth from taxation (and foundations), which supports the "science" behind AGW, and those scientists are kept in line by their (((bosses))), stepping out of line would do to their careers what trashing the national anthem would do to an NFL player. And the (((Marxists))) behind it, thrive on chaos.

At the end of the day, I'm pretty comfy with fossil fuels (it works until we get to thorium energy), the big oil companies don't oppose anti-pollution measures or clean air or water, nor do the people. But once we start getting into CO2 emissions, now shit starts to get pseudo.

I would be fine with environmentalist if they butted out of our lives. Telling us what cars we can and can't drive because it hurts their lungs despite letting industry pollute way more.

>Its called cycles, the environment keeps itself in check

The increase in co2 is not down to any natural cycle though.

How do environmentalists interfere in your life out of interest? Australian car emission standards are reasonably lax
t. enviro scientist

>But once we start getting into CO2 emissions, now shit starts to get pseudo.

How so?

>Among abstracts which take a position on AGW
>So let's just ignore 2/3rds of all of the scientists, and then we can say that all of the scientists agree!

>implying big businessmen like Musk don't want a global warming craze so that they can get big government handouts

Why do retarded socialists believe that all businesses cooperate with each other to fuck over the normal people ? Cooperations battle with each other more.

naive
the green industry is a huge multi billion euro cash cow
they are not the good guys here
also the oil industry trying to protect itself is not yet an outrage

It is true that we have to become more environmentally friendly, the problem is only that this is exploited for political gain

My 250cc motorbike failed to pass emissions as it has no cats or other emission reducing features from factory. Couldn't ride for 3 months while I got sorted out.

Small one, can't buy the nice incandescent light bulbs as they don't meet lumen/watt rating.

Also stuff like fuel tax ect

I have to buy eye cancer mind control light bulbs instead of the good old fashion kind.

Fucking globalists REEEE

Do you really fucking think climate change research started with Al Gore's documentary? They've been saying this shit since the 70s

>At the end of the day, I'm pretty comfy with fossil fuels

Obviously, you fucking retard, that's the entire reason this is an issue

I dont deny its big oil.

But the libs drink their Kool aid when it cones to nuclear power.

Nuclear power + better batteries = power paradise

Are you sure about that? Aren't CO2 concentrations mapped out in up down cycles over the last few million years?

both of my parents are staunch liberals and the loved nuclear power
the message gets mixed up because nuclear doesn't solve transportation crises, and transportation is a huge portion, over a fourth of it. There are also lots of options
>Geothermal
>Solar
>Wind
>Damming

Sure it goes up and down. In response to other changes in the earth (tectonic, solar cycles). We've had numerous full solar cycles the past million years and co2 hasn't gone above 280ppm. Since the industrial revolution it (atmospheric concentration of co2) has been rising steadily.

zis is tru hans

youtube.com/watch?v=BpBnJq19R60

More like
>global warming hoax
>makes you buy more expensive "environmentally friendly" shit
>makes developing countries halt their production because of some BS carbon footprint
>use oil instead of coal
>both the jews from the oil company and "scientists" earn a profit

>the planet is greener than ever
yeah because excessive plant growth is always a sign of a healthy environment

take a break from the fox news koolaid and go read about it

oy vey gotta protect the little mom and pop oil companies from the big bad greenies

okay, fuck this shit

I hope you all get cancer

FYI too much algae disrupts the marine ecosystem.

What you don't understand is how government power works.

For a government to gain more or keep power requires great threats that small groups cannot tackle.
Global warming and international conferences are what these politicians love.
Talk talk talk, get to fly around the world in private jets, feel important.
In Europe it is a tax revenue for the EU.
You can literally buy absolution for your CO2 sins from the EU.
I think other countries copied that model.

Also most universities get EU funding or some form of state funding to push the narrative. Most countries create research budgets from taxes somehow.
It is not true that just some NGOs fund research, it is a massive state subsidised business that gets you kicked out very quickly if you do not push the narrative that is wanted by the entity that pays the bills.

I would trust an independent study from an oil company more than one from a state funded research facility, because those researchers may be in liability to the company if they make mistakes.
And for the people that paid for the study... you cannot just lie about the future of your company to the shareholders and investors without consequences. This can get you into prison and all your money will be gone.
It is in the best interests for these companies to find out the truth. If you have a lot of money you can just invest it somewhere else.
No need to stick to something and lie about it.
Especially if it would impact the future of the earth and the standard of your living.

Politicians and state funded researchers can lie and make mistakes though. No liability whatsoever to no one. Their objective is to make everyone feel better about themselves and not to deliver facts.

im not so impressed with his reasoning
not even sure he left for the right reasons

THAT'S

THE FUCKING

POINT

it's no small wonder you people think science is a hoax when YOU CAN'T FUCKING READ

>Geotermal
Very limited places
>Solar
Very little power output per square metre (a city would require about the same land filled by solar panels, and batteries)
>Wind
Too intermittent unless Holland
>Damming
Provided you have a river and a good spot to make the dam

>global warming
>science

I live in a city where oil is a big part.
If the entire country went green, a lot of people with degrees specifically for petroleum will be deemed obsolete. That's not good.

>climate scientists who study global warming produce results in favour of global warming so that more research $$ are given to the climate sciences so that climate scientist can continue to study global warming rather than stack shelves at the grocery store.

west coast US we have an absolutely stupid amount of land available, which is why solar and wind are so popular out there

>x isn't science because I have meme arrows
SEA is truly a terrifying force in education

Environmental sciences are very soft science at best.

>have worked in labs before

It's scary how true your statement is.
Not just for global warming, but all kinds of 'Science' that is happening. People don't want to lose their gibs, so they skew models to make it seem like they aren't studying absolute bullshit, so they continue to study, absolutely nothing.

>"science"
It also said in 2007 low lying areas will be submerged in 2020 if the world didn't go green. Well the world hasn't and there isn't a new soon to be Atlantis.

if tomorrow every single car that ran on gas stopped running on gas, oil would still be produced because the byproducts of the process of refinement are so important- I could get into specifics but it's mostly chemical compounds and more importantly, PLASTICS. Which is why recycling is so important, because the wonderful, cheap, ultrauseful material that is fucking everywhere today comes from a limited resource, and because of its thermoplastic properties it CAN be reused. Refinement of oil wouldn't stop, but dependancy would. Uneducated workers would lose jobs because of a lack of demand for gasoline, but they'd find jobs working in new fields, like maintenance in one of the five fields I mentioned earlier

>I don't know how science works, the post

only as much as any other science

>oy vey gotta protect the little mom and pop oil companies from the big bad greenies

Yeah, I'm in biochem where it's exactly the same. You have to give the right answer or your shekels stop flowing.
Confirmed for no science background

in what way? are you 12?

Big oil companies make a profit of 4% on each gallon they sell.
The US government taxes at a rate of 10% per gallon.
Who're the real cronies?

They are qualitative rather than quantitative.

>Yeah, I'm in biochem where it's exactly the same.

So is the IR absorbtion by co2 made up?

But I thought it was already out of control? Your (((scientists))) dress it up as the end of the world

The Australian was right. People lie about the relevance and seriousness surrounding their field of study to get more lab time, paid trips, excuses to keep working on something they were so sure of, and similar with.
You'd think adults, especially those in STEM wouldn't be so childish and fearful of a life changing/altering moment like, "Oh fuck, what i'v been working at has failed and is going no where, better find something else to do.", but they do. And at a scary amount.
There is a reason I said I "have" worked in Labs, as in past tense. I'v had very heated debates, arguments, and down right demeaning conversations with co-workers, employers and students over skewing of results just to keep the money flowing.
I personally rather a lab fail if it were to pursue dead ends, compared to being propped up by false means. It's an economic bubble in the scientific sense and it's scary as hell itself when you think about the implications.

No, but that's not most """proof""" is based on.

Banks are behind the carbon credit scam. "Green Energy" gets massive federal subsidies.

"Clean Ethanol" got corporate corn farmers billions in energy subsidies... 'cause put corn alcohol in gasoline reduced global warming.

Global Warming = trillion dollar hoax

Lets see, be 'climate Scientist' lol

Sit around doing fuck all, then publish some findings that agree with the government line, who also provide all your funding

Go against them, lose your job and be blacklisted forever, so have to find a new line of work

Gore also invested in a lot of those going green companies and their gay light bulbs before shilling (((the inconvenient truth)))

It is the basis for the predicted radiative forcing of co2 no?

Global warming and "trying to stop it" gets people and governments to spend billions of dollars on bullshit that isn't needed.

Do you need ethanol in gasoline? Fuck no.
Do you need to pay twice as much for half the car you used to get because it contributes less to global warming?

I'm doing research right fucking now
you don't GET to lie, I don't know how it is in your shithole but peer review is serious. If you make up bullshit, if you write biased papers, you get FIRED. And the whole concept that "climate scientists perpetuate a MYTH in over 90% of ALL PAPERS ON THE SUBJECT from SEVERAL DIFFERENT FIELDS" isn't just bullshit, it's an affront to the entire concept of science

I've fucking had it with you people, two papers out of three hundred proves the jews are real, 298 papers out of three hundred prove a conspiracy

let's get real, you're all just fucking hipsters, but instead of listening to shitty music because it makes you feel special, you listen to shitty conspiracy theories

I'm out

Consider this. Select corporations involved in oil, coal and natural gas exploitation have allied themselves with leftists to ruin their competition, allowing them to buy up plants and assets used in the industry at fire sale prices and consolidate their control of the industry. They are artificially lowering the supply as the demand rises to jack rates up to monopoly levels as plants open in India and China every week.

Thanks for Correcting the Record

Yes, but our direct evidence that says the world is going to end is all based on models. Let's be real, if our original climate change models were correct we'd all already be funked in the current year.
You should understand that I'm not a climate change denier, I'm just sayin that people seem to think that scientist are these incorruptible beings that would never fudge their results to help along their careers or secure more funding.
OK, junior

>west coast
>we
Explains a lot, Califag

c14 exist. it rains down from the atmosphere where it was formed from less complex forms of carbom like co2

we know this has always happened because radio carbon dating is a thing and it relies on c14 and we have measured concentrations of it vs other carbon and there is no other possible source

co2 and co are not going to make a permanent layer that traps light. the refinement process would be worse than burning it

if that's how you conduct your research then good riddance.

Peer review was very serious where I was at too.
I'm talking end game. Questioning ethic of study and ramifications of study, why did the study take place, who funded it, and what does it mean (regardless of findings) to the world?

People waste a lot of time on nonsense. I'v seen artists work harder at trying to find the best applications, the best mediums, the best atmospheres, the proper presentations of their works, than those in science do thinking about what the hell they are actually doing.

Just because you're measuring something doesn't mean the measurement is relevant to the overall scheme of things. You're more likely than not wasting a lot of time and space that someone could be using to discover or further their discoveries of something important.

That's the problem I have and always have had. That people wasted good time on things that had little meaning, only to skew how important it sounded, or skewed the possible ramifications of the report, and yes that shit happens a lot.

Just because you're a student in University and have not yet had a lot of private lab time you've had to pay for, and are not 'In' with the lab politics and are fed the "peer review" meme, does not make you an expert for on-going scientific investigation around the world (and I will not claim to be, i'm just talking from experience you whipper snapper).

It really doesnt take that much work to change some numbers as long as no one calls you out and the media never covers it.

youtube.com/watch?v=Gh-DNNIUjKU

>When I see a "vote 4 energy" commercial
>literal big oil shilling
I really hope no ones stupid enough to fall for it.

I'd agree that the end-of-the-world scenarios did more harm than good but it's a massive leap to go from here to saying 'welp it's all just a con'

The bottom line is co2 causes warming. How much is up for debate, but as it is easier to put up than take back from the atmosphere then if it turns out to be correct, our options are limited.

>regional environmental group
Implying they aren't all connected by one jew

Made me shutdown the atoms.

>he's never heard of the Gaia theory

>Australian education

Daily reminder that the entire global warming "debate" is two packs of retards flinging shit at each other, while scientists run around the edge of the mob screaming ineffectually, and two sets of conniving bastards attempt to lead the mob.

Daily reminder that
- you can be right for the wrong reasons
- you can be biased as hell and still right
- the best way to mislead the general public is to selectively tell the truth

Daily reminder that, even if global warming is actually happening, it's only bad because it affects our lives, and any measures taken still need an economic rationale behind them.

Daily reminder that a linear regression predicts climate change about as well as all the very expensive computer models.

No shit. I'm just sayin that opies picture is retarded.

All about creating a new tax on Carbon
Nothing else

Don't be stupid

essentially the issue. jewish money bags inhibiting technological and scientific progress

They are both dumb if this is the case. Just be honest and it will give the best long term effects' for everyone.
Its not like elites benefit from living in a destroyed world with their castle full of money.
The elites trying to supress the lower man instead of helping raise everyone else to their level could save the world in the future because "that" person with this partcular education, experience, ownership of wealth and entrepreneuring skillz would have created some anti-metorite protective system.

If you did not raise and help everyone with an ideal of them going even futher than you did is a sin.

This is fact. Big oil felt threaten in the 60's and financed the protests of nuclear

Where is the list that shows 90% of the worlds scientists agree? Show us the data and evidence that of all the millions of scientists in the world that 90% of them agree.

You can't because the data is made up.

Except that in the 70s and 80s we were having a global cooling. I was there and they brainwashed us with that in school.

i'm confused.

there's people on Sup Forums right now that don't think manmade climate change is bad?

this seems extremely unlikely as if the havent taken into effect rain

That was never the consensus view. Even in the 70s more papers published on the topic spoke of warming than cooling.

It's more that turning off all of the co2 producing things in your nation would have much greater impact on your life than continued pollution and another nation would pick up the slack that you let off, leaving you with less industry and the same pollution levels.

While I do believe climate change is a thing, I don't think my country will flood. We've reclaimed half of it from the water in the first place, and we're still leading the world in flood defences.

Ten thousand years from now, we'll be an island. And damn it, the water will still be our little whore.

No.

Most of us accept that climate change exists as a part of nature and dispute the assertion that humanity's contribution is cataclysmic and irreversible.

Instead, we say that climate change is actually beneficial for plant life, considering the peak of our biosphere lay in a past where CO2 levels were far higher.
We also look at solar activity, which cannot be ignored. Based on the number of sunspots, we can tell that the sun is more active than it ever has been in human history.

What we can all agree on is that the climate debate is far from over, and when you look at the 'green' industry and see how much money is involved, it's not farfetched to think they're rigging the debate to scare everyone into buying their product.

Could be, but kids weren't reading environmental papers in 5th grade. When I was growing up, cooling was being taught in schools.

Same as in the 90s and 2000s warming became a thing in schools. Until they changed the narrative to just "change" which is what kids are learning these days.

Have you heard about the plans for the latest reclamation project? They're gonna try to reclaim some of the North Sea.

Voor Willy en Vaderland!
