Serial Killer Documentaries

Many years ago I saw a documentary on the BTK killings that included jailhouse interviews with this lovely man. I know it's a loaded topic, but I find serial killers interesting, particularly how police catch them and how some of them have even managed to stay at large. Homeboy here only got caught when he sent a word document on a floppy disk in lieu of a ransom-style note to the police that had his name in the metadata.

tl;dr recommend good serial killer documentaries

Fucking miss American Justice/Notorious and City Confidential.

A&E had some god-tier true crime shows in the late 90s and early 00s. Really fucking wish I had recorded them.

Bundy has a full blown interview right before his execution. Although I'm pretty sure he just tries to deflect his crimes and behaviours onto the porn industry.

They recently had a series called confessions of a killer or something where they interviewed serial killers. It was pretty damn good if you're into that and want their perspective

hello woman

How about forensic files?
>bad ass ww2 vet
>crazy forensic advances
>LUMINAL TM being used to find wither a small drop behind a light switch or a whole room looking like a rave show.
Tbh its juat better in everyway than CSI

Might have to check this out, thanks.

Ed Kemper's interviews are the best, even when you can tell he's full of shit sometimes.

>I know it's a loaded topic

How the fuck do you figure? Are you some kind of fucking retard?

Kuklinski wins the prize for bullshitting the most

those guys are so full of themselves, they love bsing the interviewer.i like joel rifkin's interviews, hes more honest

>tfw will never get ONS interviews
why couldn't they catch him lads

speaking of, ive been watching nothing but that Escape channel lately. and its love it.

This sounds interesting, got an hbo documentary with it.

But that's part of what makes the Kemper interviews so great. You can see how he was able to manipulate so many people around them for such a long time.

Stuff like Kuklinski's are a different thing. He just tried to look badass and came out as a pathethic asshole.

...

Agreed. Kemper and his sort are fascinating in how much they can get away with, despite the lies and deceit being so obvious in hindsight.

I just watch Investigation Discovery.

I knew there was something off about Red Forman.

Or is it Clarence Boddicker?
Can you fly, Bobby?

he finally got enough with dumbasses and chose to take action

>this lovely man

Grow up you silly edgelord

Cropsey
Dave McGowan's Programmed To Kill

K3K TH3Y PPUT CHEMICALS IN DA WATER 2 MAKE DA FROGS GAY AND MK ULTRA MAEKS DUDEZ KILLERZ

Met this guy IRL.
He use to visit the mall I worked at.
Every Sunday I saw him just wandering around the mall.
My boss liked him but he use to just give me an odd feeling.
When he was arrested we all freaked the fuck out.
Not that big of a story but anyone who worked in the Town East Mall in Wichita Kansas met this guy.

That's what I found most interesting about this guy, he was just a super nice everyday nobody that no one looked at twice until it turned out he was tying up and torturing women all over town. It took them so long to catch him too, I hate to think how much more he could've gotten away with if he hadn't slipped up due to loltechnology.

Fucker got caught years after his known killing spree by sending a floppy disk to police that contained files with metadata. I would be salty as fuck. Technology sucks.

When/what topics does he sound full of shit when he speaks about them?

I love it when he talks about killing her mother.

What about this guy?
The interrogation tape is pretty chilling. On the surface he seems like a completely normal guy.

>2 and a half hours of interrogation footage

Appreciate the recommend, but I'll have to save that for later. What's the short version?

I thought it was Michael Ironside

lmao he blames his mom and grandma right after crying about killing her

>confesses because he doesn't want his wife's house torn down

atta boy, capum

Anyone remember Cold Case Files from the late 90's?
They aired an episode called "Precious Doe". Normally their shows are split into two segments covering two different cases, but this one focused on only one victim.
Police found a little girl decapitated in some St. Louis woods. (Her dad had gotten high on PCP and killed her "by accident.")
For years her body could not be identified. They came out with this clay sculpture of what she looked like prior to her murder, and for some reason it terrified me. I used to have nightmares about it

Ottis Toole and his pal Henry Lee Lucas. It's been a while since I've watched the documentary through and through but these guys were seriously greasy.

Why would you kill a girl before raping her?

>Anyone remember Cold Case Files from the late 90's?

Man I've been addicted to that show and American Justice lately on Youtube. Bill Kurtis' narration is flawless. I recommend going on a marathon of those shows late at night. You will poo poo and pee pee yourself, it's great.

This guys Wikipedia article is bland as fuck. You read it and you'd never know why he got his nickname.

Yeah, that's why the jailhouse confessional style documentary was waaaay more interesting.

Tales of the Grim Sleeper, Nick Broomfield.

because if it is dead, it is not rape. in a psychos mind a pussy is a pussy, dead or alive. however in judicature they can only trial you for murder and vile act upon a corpse

Any good docs on Kendall Francois? He was active in my town, I drive by his house pretty much every day.

is that guy pierce?

>Homeboy

>if he hadn't slipped up due to loltechnology.
Didn't he anonymously ask the police if there'd be any way they could trace him, and they just went 'Nah, it's all cool bro'. Kind of deserves it for assuming the people chasing him wouldn't lie.

Killed by the inability of his generation to into computers.

I mean, how many people were using floppy discs by *2005* anyway?

No it's Michael Ironside

this

The Jinx. Not really a massive bodycount, but really engaging

Is he related to the porn star Lily Rader?

what else would compel him to B T and K?

Hot.

he ASKED law enforcement if they could glean data from it, he ASKED for it

Yeah he was sort of an idiot.

>He is also known as the BTK Killer or the BTK Strangler. "BTK" stands for "Bind, Torture, Kill", which was his infamous signature.

literally the first sentence of the article.

Why he'd ask the people trying to catch him if they'd be able to catch him from a floppy, and expected them to give him an answer which would help him evade them, is hard to imagine. He must have thought they were enjoying the chase the way he was, and didn't want it to end, the way he obviously didn't.

hes a serial killer. his expectations, ideas of normal society are skewed as fuck.

my personal opinon? he had no idea what tech could or couldnt have, and just made a dumb decision. i remember for YEARS on early Sup Forums that metadata wasnt cleared automatically and ive personally fucked with people based on said meta data, just for kicks. people posting bongs and guns and shit and thinking that an image is just an image. he just didnt know. he probably wiped down that floppy disk, handled it with gloves, made sure document itself didnt have his name but just didnt know what metadata was. he just fucked up.

infact, give it a shot. you got a smart phone? plug it in, find a picture you took yourself, and upload it to this. if you had gps, location services set, you might be surprised.
exif.regex.info/exif.cgi
this is what i ran on peoples pictures years ago, and this is something similar to what they would of ran on btks floppy, but, not as slick.

And a thousand times simpler. It turned out that word document that sealed his fate was written on his church computer with a copy of word DIRECTLY LICENSED TO HIM. The cops had his name, place of business, and address all because he trusted them when he asked them if this newfangled computer thing was safe for someone wanting to stay anonymous.

to be fair, did you know any of this before hand, before it existed. dont tell me you didnt shitpost online before knowing everything you would soon learn.
not saying if you know your a serial killer and you should veto this fucking shit hard because consequences, but just saying. how easy would it be to just post something and not know this. shit was new fandangled shit at the time. and this is a dude who thinks acquiring national attention for multiple murders...whatever. today, entering your name into the personal info portion of a peice of software was new and unknown. we now know, dont do that shit. how could he know without being that eras john carmack?

Really nigga

It's pretty OK

Fun fact about BTK. I lived in the same neighborhood as the Otero house and drove by it on my way to work everyday.

wow edgy

>an academic interest in the psychologically compromised is edgy
