Welcome to parliament of Sup Forums, where the people of Sup Forums hopelessly try to assemble a government to finally make the board great again.
Previous Threads:
Today's Agenda: Established a formal government and determine our foreign policy (for Sup Forums, Sup Forums, and the Internet)
>1 person=1 MP >1 MP=1 vote >MP has name, trip and a party >Name like this Name [Party] ##tripcode >only MPs with a secure trip count for votes and quorum >if no party just put [Independent] >Once a quorum of 20 MPs is present or after 30 minutes with a quorum of 10 MPs present, parliament elects a president and a speaker (to replace me). Speaker election is first. >President motions for legislation to be brought to a vote, can decide which legislation to bring before parliament. Speaker actually manages the thread. >President may delegate another president if he is forced to leave before the session concludes. Speaker may do the same. >Once every 2 hours, the speaker may call for a vote of no confidence on the president. If this passes, the legislative session is dissolved >Discussion on voting and the time for voting on legislation is chosen by the speaker >Speaker records passed legislation, proposed legislation, etc, on the legislative docket >With a supermajority of 66% you faggots can try to change any of the bylaws I have made for you
We will hold a recess until 2:00 PM EST (40 minutes) so people can gather itt and draft legislation for the session.

Grayson Williams
There is now, bitches.
Dylan Baker
Oh snap. Good luck user.
Isaac Collins
Friendly reminder that marijuana is degenerate.
Easton Watson
What's the legal situation of cannabis? I know it's commonly perceived as "degenerate" around here but no one seems to mention legislation regarding it.
Dominic Parker

>Diplomatic Mission to Clinton Foundation General to discuss formal recognition of our authority
>Parliament policy regarding 8pol
>Parliament policy regarding right wing subreddits

idea: Only citizens of Sup Forumsand may vote / given full rights.
to attain citizenship one must either: - serve in military - contribute to the nation's GDP in some significant manner (ie. start a business, employ people, etc) - contribute to scientific discovery or the advancement of technology
Oliver Diaz
I like this idea, but I think voting should be open to all taxpayers. Anyone who contributes to the nation's budget should have a say in what gets done with it; everyone who doesn't shouldn't.
Isaac Wood
So no one?
Cameron Jenkins
Implying stoners pay taxes
Benjamin Campbell
I sure do. By the way, fuck welfare. If we have any of that we should get rid of it.
Carter Gomez

Tyler Green
Where can I read about the party points of the different parties? Its not in the wiki.
Nathan Carter
There are no party positions, it's just unadulterated autism. Welcome to Sup Forums, hope you enjoyed the tour.

A comfortable Defense budget and compulsory military service are needed. The primary actor that holds the loose association of local generals together is our Defense Force. To give us a strong army and instill in every citizen an intimate relationship with the state, we demand that our board institutes a compulsory military service attended by all citizens when they hit their 18th year. We also propose that instead of being part of the political ballet, the Defense minister is elected by all active military personnel every 4 years, except in the case of a petition signed by at least 30% of all active military personnel is turned in. This will allow our country to have a solid military policy, that will mot change every few days, because of political scandals, maneuvers and what not.
While a satisfactory defense budget is important, I oppose the proposition of compulsory service. I don't want my borders defended by people who'd rather not be fighting.
Jonathan Baker
WE FISHERMEN ARE STARTING A POLITICAL PARTY! THIS IS A CALL TO ALL SAILORS AND FISHERMEN TO JOIN US!

Anyone got a light? Never mind, I got one.
Thomas Gomez
Mandatory military service can promote national unity in many ways. First, it allows citizens to learn and train together, creating that shared experience of having served in the military. Then there is also that general understanding of what life in the army is like, what is required of the job, and what has to be done in order to protect the country. Citizens are able to understand and develop appreciation for the sacrifices that people in the military made for their country. And all of these can bring people together, especially when dealing with a cultural or political threat from other nations.

That's all fine and dandy until the bullets start flying. Conscription forces people who lack the willpower for combat into situations they can't possibly handle. A voluntary force of professionals guarantees a more motivated force.
That said, I could support measures for a draft in the case of a critical manpower shortage, but I see no need to maintain a standing force of conscripts.

Kikud's Program > Complete separation of religion from the government > "Soft" drugs are legal > Treason of any form is punishable by life in prison > Strict borders. A small portion of the land that is not fertile will be assigned to asylum seekers, but the government will not invest in the land except for soliders guarding the area. Asylum seekers will not be given a citizen status > Guns are widely available, with a waiting period and a psychological test > The land will be Israel's current borders, sans the West Bank > Any person with a Master's Degree at least, after going through several personality tests, will be allowed to request a permanent resident's status > Education puts a lot of emphasis on technology and scientific thought > Wide car lanes, with high taxes on cars, and wide custom-made buses. Citizens will be encouraged to go green with bicycles and hopefully comfortable, constant public transportation
Jayden Thomas
conscripts don't have to just be on the front-line, support jobs are needed as well (kitchen work, truck-driving, etc)
Andrew Anderson
Ayy lmao
Isaiah Taylor
So we should draft fuckboys to do the jobs no one wants? The military has plenty of unruly grunts for that already.
Juan Gutierrez
Shouldve replied here in the first place.
Carter Hughes
Andrei pls
Austin Myers

Jaxon Cox

1.) The existence of a compulsory military service doesn't mean a professional core doesn't exist within the army: see Switzerland, Yugoslavia
2.) Compulsory service has effects far beyond defense. It's a great bonding mechanism between people of different classes and backgrounds and a great mold for a people's national identity. Furthermore it gives many young people their first step towards adulthood and independence, as they're forced to spend time away from their familial nest.

Welcome back my white friend.

I'd relaunch a newspiece for the parliament but for the moment this place cruely lacks the drama that is the lifeblood of political newspapers.
Christian Richardson
Yeah drama comes from numbers and most of Sup Forums is focused on the election and wary of each other because of shilling. Parliament might become more active later in the year.
Sebastian Cruz
Yeah probably that. Additionally I'd prefer if the SWP could come back in one way or another, those guy always make sure there's some drama going on

Ayden White
Tbh we could start an internet radio/podcast thingy (I've been experimenting with that for a while), but I need to get back from my vacations in Lelgium first.
Ian Nguyen
Definitely something to look into, part of my foreign policy goals are to coordinate with /cfg/, /natsoc gen/ and 8pol to create a propaganda machine. A podcast/YouTube channel would be a big step forward.
Nolan Gomez
We'd need a webpage and dedicated server to run a 24/7 webradio though. I'll see what I can do.
Something like Libre Antenne would be awesome.
William Walker
What I'm saying is the military should be entirely professional, top to bottom. Every last man, from the Minister of Defense to the boot polishers, should have military service be the focus of his life. That's nothing but a reasonable prerequisite for someone expected to sacrifice their life.
National pride and rites of passage for adulthood are great, but surely there are better ways to achieve that. How much does pride matter to a corpse?
