How does this happen, anons?

How does this happen, anons?
50mil budget, a noname director and the Wachowskies instead of screenwrites. And it's a masterpiece.
Do the stars just align and things like this just happen? Explain this to me, please.

Also, more movies like V?

i adore the matrix series and even tried to like sense8 but haven't and never will watch this because antifacism is the most cringeworthy thing on the planet

and the wachowski's basically directed it by proxy, james mcteigue was their protege since the first matrix

v is a fucking terrible movie

...

>fascism is good
I know antifa are a bunch of cringey losers but come on

>masterpiece
Lol

Not even Based Hurt saved it

I bet you don't think the cop was the true hero

>And it's a masterpiece.

*breathes in*
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The point is V is a terrorist who murders people and manipulates the public just like the state he's fighting you fucking retard, not that for the last 8 years you weren't calling Obongo a fascist for making you pay for obamacare or whatever Sup Forums talking point.

The comic is way better. Deal with it.

V sucked

What's wrong with fascism?

Please note that an answer implying inherent racism will forfeit the game.

Name me 1 (one) fascist country that isn't/wasn't a complete shithole.

>obongo
>Sup Forums

all i said was anti fascism is cringe, but that theme of hypocrisy, if clearly and intentionally expressed in the film makes me want give it a chance

USA

He murdered these in power bc its the way to go, but he didn't manipulate the people. Unless you would call any idea manipulation.
He gave the state to the people by changing them, showing what they have been and can be yet again.

Name a facist country that works.

to be fair tyranny is much more appealing than all this sjw liberal LGBT shit going on in the US

Watched this movie years ago when I had liberal(not in american meaning of this word) views, liked it a lot. Will be interesting to rewatch it from NRx-supporter point of view.

Ok. Well. I did not know tv wrongfully hates this movie too.

Didn't know there was a comic.

So, you folks can't advise me on movies like subj?

>I did not know tv wrongfully hates this movie too.
Every board is infested with Sup Forums bullshit now, you should've known that.

You don't have to be pol to enjoy and understand this movie, I think.

30s Germany

Fascism took a country broken by the Treaty of Versailles and forged it into an economic and military powerhouse capable of going toe-to-toe with the entire rest of Europe.

>Didn't know there was a comic
>preaches about its shitty adaptation anyway

Get out of here, faggot! Go back to 9FAG, or wherever you came from

Extreme statism, but the ruling ideological and economic elite is above its demands. Social mobilization for stated party goals at the expense of everything else. Anti-intellectual. Anti-liberal. Anti-democratic. Rejection of the political apparatus, usurpation of the justice system and state monopoly on violence through party militias. Glorification of aggression, violence, obedience and surface aspects of masculinity. Insistence on complete economic independence and war as a right and justified means to that end. Ideology built on myths of decadence, betrayal by an inside enemy or victimisation by a foreign enemy, and rebirth that will be achieved through extremism, mostly just used to justify whatever the party needs to do to stay in power.

In short, fascism stands for more or less the opposite of what you'd call virtue, either in a nation or its citizens, and intelligent approach to solving national problems. It's the opium of the post-religious monkey.

because natalie portman crying and having her head shaved ignited a lot of boners

Spain under Franco

>economic and military powerhouse
Yeah because an economy based on military invasions is extremely stable

the ussr underwent a more impressive economic miracle under Lenin and Stalin

stupid wehrboos, 30's germany would have collapsed without war, and they lost the war to the point where they got split in 1/2 for 50 years and are now militarily neutered.

>What's wrong with fascism?

fascists are literally speaking a bunch of faggots

>the far right will forever be enamored with fascism instead of more patrician and successful rightwing ideologies
feelsbadman

>Didn't know there was a comic.

u have to be baiting

also im pretty sure it's a graphic novel, not a comic

spiderman is a comic

>it's a masterpiece
it's not
it is however responsible for ruining an entire generation of retards

>Comic is about the fight between two political extremes, with their flaws and positives, neither being particularly ideal.
>Movie is about epic Liberal freedom fighters beating the mean Republicans.

I used to love this movie. But ten years on, it just seems very one dimensional (good guy is good, bad guys are bad, and sjwism is right)
Still good action, good acting by Mr Smith. The novel was way better

Literally kill yourself right now

Why is fascism considered right wing anyway? I thought the right was all about freedom and individuals. Fascism removes freedom and ignores individuals for the greater good

>And it's a masterpiece.
Literally all the anarchist subtext was stripped out. I'm not a fan of anfedoras, but this annoyed me more profoundly than Hershlag's bad acting.

Va voice and the chewed out cop are the saving grace of this movie.

A political film that has nothing to do with American political issues would not sell in America. The moment someone decide to make this butchering the original story was inevitable.

Except the german economy was recovering quite well before the nazis were elected to power. Hitler's dipshit economic policies stymied the growth more than it ever helped it, and I mean this happened BEFORE he crashed germany with no survivors.
But you know, keep sucking that loser cock and spouting memes, pretending your degenerate ass wouldn't have been first against the wall.

why

seems uncalled for

not fascism

britain was fascist and is still cryptofascist
confusing everyone about the definition by doing a propaganda switcheroo and labelling the nazis as fascist is an incredible stroke of mind control

they were authoritarian, socialist, nationalist totalitarians but pretty much the opposite of fascist

The movie isn't about antifacism its about the power of symbols and ideas

Mostly because it clams opposition to all leftist ideals, even when it doesn't follow through. Filippo Marinetti or some other futurist fuck involved with the fascist manifesto described the ideology as an effort to reverse 'damage' done by the French Revolution.

>Why is fascism considered right wing anyway?
You have to understand where the terms "left/right wing" come from. The french court had the people divided between two halves. The aristocracy and clergy sat on the right side while the peasants and lower class representation sat on the left.
So at the crux of the issue you're right wing if you tend to support aristocracy and the church, you're left wing if you identify more with the "common man" and more pedestrian/practical issues.

Those two terms are practically meaningless and devoid of context in contemporary american politics and should just be replaced with the more appropriate terms of "us" and "them."

Masterpiece? It's fucking garbage. Are you trolling?

The movie is Anti-fascist. It is its central theme along with vengeance. The power of symbols is a means to an endn the end being muh antifa

Fascism freely borrows elements from left, right and center, so you can generally point at anything and claim that it's fascist somehow. This is why it sucks arguing about it.

>And it's a masterpiece.
>the city of OP

The nation of OP

At the low low cost of 30 million Ukrainians

>genocide is okay when the side I like does it against people I don't
I love the intelectual dishonesty you see in these threads.

This movie was OK, calling it a masterpiece is just ridiculous. The dialogue was just lame and a lot of scenes were cheesy and clichéd. It is a lot better than the comic though, which is overrated and probably Alan Moore's worst.
Really tickles the ol' funnybone that WB probably pulled in an extra few hundred thousand dollarydoos from this film when the merch became the official uniform of "anonymous".

>literally changed the villain's name from Susan to Sutler so that it would sound closer to Hitler
I gained a newfound appreciation for the comic when I saw how utterly terrible the movie was.
This movie is retarded garbage that deserves to be ridiculed for what it is.

Let's see if you sing the same tune when you're eating your pets out of desperation because the people at the top don't care about you, your nation, your family, or anything but themselves and let everyone go hungry while they feast. Can't just take up arms or just go work for yourself, if anything you do does not follow their code, or if they just feel like it, you'll be stomped out immediately and made an example of.

Jesus Christ have some context, this movie was made 10 years ago, during it's time it was revolutionary and inspired, for example, Sup Forums, for years to seek truth instead of conforming to norms, which eventually lead to the rediscovery of facism. I know you probably weren't sentient 10 years ago but you have to appreciate it in the context of it's time.

>comic has the Bible being banned
>movie has the Quran being banned
Way to go Hollywood weirdos.

USSR was supported by Britain and USA the whole time.

>tfw you just made me realize I've been on Sup Forums for 10 years

Shit man. I feel like I'm being gaslighted when people keep spouting Sup Forums was always like it is now.

the site is better now than in 2007
peaked around 2014 though

Proof youve quarantined your life to Sup Forums. I live in an über liberal city and live normally without worrying about pronouns or opening the door for whomever. If you're worried about sjw's, stay off of Tumblr and Twitter.

Sup Forums has been the same for over 10 years, as in edgy, out there and always seeking the new trends which the masses later adopt. The trends just change, the idea stays the same.

I dunno man, for me 2011-2014 was the low point of nothing really happening expect for Zyzz, Drive and Bane. Neofacism and Trump pretty much made it alive again from the stagnation.

>It's a masterpiece
Read the graphic novel. Then you might learn what a masterpiece actually is. I loved the movie for like 8 years before I read it and then the movies flaws came rushing forward like a flash flood.

>which the masses later adopt
And Sup Forums turns on because if it's popular it's pleb (what does that make Sup Forums)

We are the more virile versions of the hipsters we claim to hate, ironically.

>and it's a masterpiece
