Doraemon is not really known in France (even though we are full of weebs). Actually the TV broadcasters were kinda stupid and thought that anything anime was aimed at kids. So we got things like Hokuto no Ken, Saint Seiya, City Hunter or Dragon Ball. And the girls were watching Sailor Moon.
