>house sigil is a stark skinned alive with drops of blood everywhere >house words are "our blades are Sharp" >castle called the DREADfort >history of killing starks and other northlords >leader looks and acts like a vampire
Why the fuck would anyone trust these guy?
Zachary Turner
Dude just turn your brain off
Cameron Kelly
I can't I would be dead
Thomas Collins
...
John Roberts
>house sigil is a stark skinned alive is this cannon?
Joseph Green
all the skinning happened thousands of years ago and there are only current 'rumors' of it. rumors like starks can turn in direwolves. no one really knows about warging or the other shit so people just discount it. the boltons are considered just slightly belligerent bannermen. of course robb made the mistake of discounting the rumors too much while also neglecting to manage his bannermen.
instead of fucking jeyne westerling he should have put her aside and won the fucking war.
Nathaniel Morris
Good lads, better then Freys I guess.
Nolan Nguyen
Nah he still should have fucked Jayne, he just shouldn't have married her
Anthony Gutierrez
Yes, the Boltons and Starks warrred for hundreds of years over control of the North and the Boltons Flayed many Starks alive during that period
Wyatt Baker
>our blades are Sharp
what a lame choice of words
Tyler Bell
robb could have been fucking this
Kayden Garcia
The boltons flayed people during the fucking show retard.
Nathaniel Bennett
Instead she's taking Basedmures trout
Wyatt Baker
Yeah, "our men are good" would be better.
Joseph Wright
>he's a show only fag
Logan Brooks
In the show Roose didn't act like a vampire, he was Tywin lite. In the books, yeah, he was a fucking freak.
Brandon Turner
>stark skinned alive
Showwatcher detected. That isn't a stark in their banner. Their banner is the flayed man. It's a refrence to their practice of flaying their enemies. The image you see there is not a refrence to any house, but their cultural practice.
Their rumors of Boltons using the skin of starks kings as capes but those are just legends. They're no concrete evidence of that. Anyway they've been btfo by the starks anyway so they're their begrudging bannermen.
Their some mountain clans in the north that are also bannermen but hate having an overlord but the relations between Winterfell and the moutain clans are on good terms now.
Skagos the island were Osha took Rickon Stark in the books is part of north and have the Starks as their wardens but the skagosi are batshit and no one dares goes to skagos so for all intents and purposes they are completely independent in their administration.
Liam Johnson
What did he do in the books?
Aiden Evans
Dealing with your vassal is not always a question of trust.
Hunter King
man was obsessed with leeches
Landon Allen
Ya they flayed stark Lords tard and would pull their entrails out while they were still alive. It's clearly a threat to the starks
Jaxon Gutierrez
>showfag
No wonder you think their sigil is a flayed stark.
Eli Ward
But it is, they flayed Starks so it stands to reason
Samuel Rodriguez
>Their some mountain clans in the north that are also bannermen but hate having an overlord but the relations between Winterfell and the moutain clans are on good terms now. How could GRRM get away with this bullshit? Seriously it was laughable. >Hey king Stannis, you want a free, battle hardened nothern army? Yeah it's right there a little west from Winterfell. Money? No they don't need money, they're chill dudes, totally not gonna laugh in your face and send you back the way you came with your command to fight for you.
Chase Powell
That user is over stating it, the weirdest thing about him is that he leeches himself Otherwise he's a quiet calculating sort, knows Ramsay is a piece of shit but all of Ramsays "friends" are men loyal to Roose to keep him relatively contained Oh and he doesn't drink which makes him weird among his peers There's a bunch of Arya and Theon chapters with him in them and it's implied he recognized Arya right away when she was at Harrenhall but gave no shits
William Cruz
And a Stark put his mind inside a Direwolf. That doesn't mean they did it openly, and the first time it happened, it was done by Ramsay, a sadistic fuckwit who wanted to impress dad way too hard about how big of a real Bolton Boy he really is, in the aftermath of taking over the Stark's home and showing their hand.
That does not mean they've been doing it consistently for the past few hundred years.
Jayden Cox
that doesn't mean that the sigil is supposed to be a Stark
Ryan Cox
if only there were a board for tv shows and a board for books so faggots like you could get the fuck put forever
Dylan Sanchez
Hes also described as having pale skin, eyes like chips of ice, and long black hair, Ramsey was born of rape etc. Hes the closest thing to true evil in the universe
Nathaniel Gray
Their flayed their ENEMIES you fucking moron. Not just starks, it's literally called the flayed man not the flayed stark.
Go read the fucking books.
Carson Brooks
>How could GRRM get away with this bullshit? Message here was probably that while muh honor got Ned killed it also got him some very loyal vassals (Manderly, those clans, Reeds, Mormonts).
Sebastian Bennett
I hate how boring and black everyone dresses in the tv series, in the books the boltons go full pink, how awesome is that?
Blake Walker
>Ned fosters good relations with the mountain clans, personally visits them instead of demanding they come to him >Ned killed, his son betrayed, Boltons just move in and act like assholes >Stannis tells them he wants to save Ned's daughter, put a Stark back in charge, and kill some Boltons >wowwwwwwww wtf these motivations are so bad
Parker Hall
The Mountain clans have a deep respect for Ned Stark because he treated them and all the rest of his bannermen with respect and was the epitomy of a just ruler.
"The Ned" is a revered figure and having them join Stannis is order to exact revenge on those who killed his son and wife is a completely valid motivation.
Cameron Davis
The show is boring as fuck. The Starks are supposed to be in grey. But on the show, they're just in usual armor.
Colton Barnes
The answer is don't think about it. God I love rick and morty xD
Hudson Flores
Don't forget that he never ages. In the show he's visually in his 50s.
William Evans
Also Jons coat of arms was revealed by GRRM but they haven't put it in the show for some reason.
Instead of the traditional Stark Grey Direwolf on a white field Jon's is reversed. A White Direwolf with red eyes on a grey field.
Lucas Flores
I'll never understand why Roose was fine with Ramsay murdering his trueborn son.
Domeric was a decent person who is nothing like Roose or Ramsay in terms of personality. He was a likeable human being who wasn't a sadistic sociopath. Other northern houses and nobles were more upset with his murder than his own father.
He was literally killed for wanting to have a relationship with his half-brother.
Tyler Gomez
Cause Roose would not have any heirs. In the book it will probably go into detail that Roose will kill Ramsay since he has a true born son from Fat Walda
Anthony Ward
>tfw in the books the boltons have sick ass armour that is painted to look like flayed muscles
Gavin Hall
>flaying is love, flaying is life >do it to anybody we can, its fucking awesome >include it in the unofficial house saying because its so fucking satisfying >Oh fuck, its the best, better make it our sigil >use the image on literally everything we own >one day some fucktard Stark comes along and say we cant flay people anymore What the fuck were they expecting?
Anthony Morris
> That isn't a stark in their banner.
Seeing as how the Starks were the Boltons main adversary for hundreds of years, the implication is that the flayed man is supposed to represent a Stark, even if it also applies to all the Bolton’s enemies.
> Their rumors of Boltons using the skin of starks kings as capes but those are just legends.
It’s essentially a historical fact, even if it happened during the Age of the First Men and there are no written accounts of it and they do still maintain a torture chamber in the bowels of the Dreadfort.
> Anyway they've been btfo by the starks anyway so they're their begrudging bannermen.
True, but depending on who is the Lord of the Dreadfort, that level of begrudgment can vary.
Clearly Roose Bolton only supported the Starks because he had no choice and as soon as he had the chance, he carried out a coup against them.
> That user is over stating it, the weirdest thing about him is that he leeches himself
And he’s a casual rapist and murderer of his own peasants, which is how Ramsay came to be and he allowed Ramsay to “marry” Donella Hornewood, seize her lands and murder her.
Roose Bolton is a throwback to the Boltons of old.
Ayden Ramirez
>don't make me regret raping your mother Sums it up nicely
Sebastian Cook
> I'll never understand why Roose was fine with Ramsay murdering his trueborn son.
I doubt Roose was fine with it but once the deed was done, he had no option but to put his faith in Ramsay, as he was his only son.
> In the book it will probably go into detail that Roose will kill Ramsay since he has a true born son from Fat Walda
GRRM gets this wrong, since Ramsay was legitimized by King Tommen, he become Roose’s heir regardless of any subsequent kids born to him and his wife Fat Walda.
James Peterson
>free not really >battlehardened wrong >army wrong
David Roberts
Everyone probably thinks they're just being edgy.
Noah Reyes
>GRRM gets this wrong, since Ramsay was legitimized by King Tommen, he become Roose’s heir regardless of any subsequent kids born to him and his wife Fat Walda. Yeah, that's why he said "Roose will kill Ramsay"
Tyler Russell
>he never ages Because he's a health nut that doesn't drink and eats well, the leeches are part of that And remember to knock off 15-20 years for the book ages compared to the show, Ned is 30 tops in the first book and Cat is in her late 20s
Christian White
The Starks were just as brutal and the Boltons. Ned was the exception, not the rule.
Jeremiah James
He's just very soft spoken, reserved, and somewhat odd and mysterious. He also comes off as vaguely effeminate.
Hunter Brooks
The only good Frey is a dead Frey
Landon Carter
Good lad. >Though mayhaps this was a blessing. Had he lived he would have grown up to be a Frey
Easton Reyes
Yeah Frey gave out his uggos and that worried Robb. I see why he'd be suspicious but Frey was being a real bro to want to give her to him. Like when she walks in Robb's like oh shit damn dude and Frey looks over like "see should have just gone with it". Frey was an asshole but he was like a cool grandpa in a way.
David Rogers
am i the only user that thinks "The ____" is a cool honorific? i love names like "The Ned" or "The Liddle"
Jordan Brown
>bastard reverses house colors uh-oh...
Jackson Collins
that sucks. should've been the same stark sigil just white wolf, red eyes on top of black. I just looked at his westeros.org sigil and it fucking sucks
Joseph Miller
Blackfish did it too
Christopher Reed
he's quiet, cold, calculating and creepy.
Easton Hall
Can you post it? Westeros.org is fucked on mobile.
Eli Carter
>Clearly Roose Bolton only supported the Starks because he had no choice and as soon as he had the chance, he carried out a coup against them. Roose is a psychopathic opportunist. He doesn't hold grudges, he simply betrayed them because he saw that Robb was losing the war and it benefited him to turn cloak, not out of some century old grudge.
Daniel Davis
It's retarded that they didn't join Robb
Jackson Bennett
>Money? No they don't need money, they're chill dudes, totally not gonna laugh in your face and send you back the way you came with your command to fight for you. Another showfag that thinks D&D are hotshit compared to GRRM. The whole point of the north is the show that fear and brutality aren' the only foundations by which power can be built. The Starks were merciful and respectful to their vassals for thousands of years, and that loyalty and respect paid off with things like the mountain clans and the Great Northern Conspiracy. Showfags seem to think northerners are default traitors because of the laughable portrayal of the Karstarks and Umbers being traitorous and vindictive cunts.
Juan Brown
Did it ever say that they didn't participate in the Wot5K?
Justin Campbell
Should black people trust those who like the confederate flag?
David Torres
>GRRM gets this wrong, since Ramsay was legitimized by King Tommen, he become Roose’s heir regardless of any subsequent kids born to him and his wife Fat Walda.
It's not a clear cut issue in the book. Sometimes legitimized bastards come before trueborn kids, othertimes not. It's intentionally contradictory in Westeros history to point out flaws in feudal succession, and there's civil wars that have been fought over it.
Jeremiah Mitchell
>Got fags will read this and then say
"There's no good and evil only shades of grey in GoT." LMOA
Mason Russell
"It stands to reason" is not the same thing as "HURR their sigil is literally a skinned Stark wtf bro" Learn the difference, you dip
Andrew Price
Should white people trust blacks, when blacks are responsible for 50% of all murders in the US despite only being 13% of the population?
Jose Roberts
>reddit spacing >atrocious grammar and syntax Back to your containment subreddit newfag.

Levi Watson
That's not the Bolton's house words, they're:
>Our Cum Is Hot
John Sanchez
The Boltons, Euron, and Victarion are all ridiculous and stupid
Jaxon Harris
No. Blacks should all just fuck off instead.
