What's Louis Theroux best documentary and why is it My Scientology Movie? The scene where Paz just shows up for no reason whatsoever is fucking hilarious.

His documentary on liberals.

Oh snap

The black nationalists one was fun.

I found the thai brides guy so cringe my god.

The guy who advised Louis' on how to recreate the whole thing later relapsed and went back to being a scientology shill.

The one where doesn't feign politeness and interest in the people he interviews without stabbing them in the backs afterwards.

Oh wait.

Who was in the wrong here?

The one who thought it was a good idea to fake it.

The scientologists. Also, and despite all the fucking hype, his Scientology documentary was shit. If you want some good material, either go watch Leah Remini's show, Going Clear or the two John Sweeney specials.

The one where he talks to a black gangster in South Africa who says he microwaves babies while stealing money from people, then talks to a white boer who says he wants to restore order to the country, and then comes to the conclusion that the white man is the most evil creature imaginable.

how does he stab them in the back?
he tries to be open minded throughout all of his documentaries, and at the end, he tries to explain his thoughts after spending enough time with them to form his opinion

South Africa is pretty much proof white supremacy is real.

>etsubatsu
What did he mean by this?

I love all his documentaries.
The one where he visits the brothel in Nevada was funny, as you could tell he really wanted to fuck this one chick.

He probably did, though. Just behind the scenes, when the cameras weren't rolling.

whats going on here?

It was the end of apartheid in SA and the dindus were too stupid to walk around the gate.

I think it was in the way it was presented, they set it up like they were going to completely blow the lid off but it ended up being disappointing, if they made it more about that one ex scientolgist guy and the effects the religion had on him and other people instead of all that stuff with the fake movie it would have bin much better

>Ooga booga we in charge now
>Gibs me dat
>Doggo protecting his famalam

...

No fucking way!

DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY LUCOZADE??

Which one were you in, user?

According to what I heard, he's come to some sort of agreement with Miscavige where he'll be able to more or less disappear from the church's radar in exchange for making a lot of the drama he stirred up go away.

I wanted more of the Miscavige impersonations, like reading Going Clear clearly shows that the dude's a fucking powderkeg of manlet rage.

I remember this one, quite scary.

>that pedo documentary where the dude tries to defend against the picture with the ballet boys on whether they are over 18

From what I have read the guy was dead-on on suing the hell out of the church, but then for no reason whatsoever, dropped the lawsuit and began to defend scientology and whatever bullshit lhr came up with. He actually shat on both Louis and the Leah Remini show and claimed that scientology was misunderstood by people.

Yeah, my guess is that money is involved as well, to some extent.

I particularly liked when he tried to gaslight and mock Eugene Terreblanche about how everyone can live together and then Eugene Terreblanche was brutally torture murdered by blacks later

*correction: not torture murdered, hacked to death with machetes

>My time with user had come to an end. During our time together, I had learned about his general cyniscism and misanthropy, but also his irreverent, self-deprecating style of humor and his ability to show compassion toward those who shared his "feels". What had started as a journey into the "dark side of the internet" had become a poignant investigation into the lives of wayward young men. With no community to fall back on and plenty of free time to spend online, they had forged an alliance not out of common interests but a common sense of displacement. Although they have been attacked in the media as nazis, perverts, and nihilists, the picture I was presented with was one of loneliness and desperation. I finally realized that the "Internet hate machine" hates nothing more than itself.

Or he probably was never that out, unlike the others, and has done more fucked up shit due to his role as Miscavige's right-hand man.

it's just a perrier

by reason of insanity is louis best. the scientology one is kind of boring

PPG lady is a fucking hottie. I want her to test my erection if you know what I mean :)

Shut the fuck up you fucking faggot lmao

Louis grassed him right up

Wow.

yea i've popped off more than one thinking about her being my mommy

Is it true stuffy documentarians find it unacceptable to feature themselves in their work and hate Louis?

Its by far his worst, he just fails to say, film or find out anything interesting basically. If you want to see some Scientologists getting angry, you can just go up to them anywhere and start talking about Xenu and L.Ron, its nothing special.

Its the only LT show I've seen since he first started on TV Nation that was actually boring (although I appreciate some of you won't have the cultural background to watch the Paul Daniels one or the Hamiltons one and get anything out of them).

OH

MY

GOD

he's kind of like a gonzo journalist, some people just find that style too fame whorey

The one where the whore was all over him

It's not standard documentary style, more like gonzo/new journalism like that other user said

Do you think they fucked? The UST between the two was somewhat endearing

Louis has annoyed me every time he's dealt with racist white types. He puts on this moral haughtiness and is very judgmental in empty way. That and when he completely pussied out during that porn one in the late 90s where they were filming a rape-themed scene

I like most of his documentaries but that's what stands out to me

that bitch was crazy

He has definitely changed his style.
In the early Weird Weekends he is pretty disingenuous in terms of subtly egging people on.
In the last ten years he has been a lot more serious but still gets accused of it. I think its unfair but its also kind of his fault.

I think the scientology doc is some of his weakest work. my personal faves are Indian Gurus, porn, Thai brides, and Off Broadway.

My favorite was the one he did on the Westboro Baptist Church.

I think for me it would have to be the Westboro one.

them fucking tits

I don't know if thats really fair, he isn't always judgemental towards all these people all the time, I think he has limits and then he feels he has to say something but its warring with his intentions not. I don't think he is haughty at all, he just looks (genuinely) uncomfortable.

Interesting that the ones who left are QTs, the one he stayed (Jael) looks terrible. Crazy hate has physical effects in the long term.

fuck i miss Louie threads

Fuck me I've forgotten how long people have been bitching about r*ddit, only seems like a couple years not 4
