I, for one, have no problem with continuing to admit skilled Indian workers and students. They're educated, speak English, and tend to do a fantastic job of raising their children to imbibe "Old World" traditions alongside American values. Many of the Indian international students I know have a healthy appreciation for the United States as well as their homeland.
