Some Nolan stuff
Gran Torino

Crash

>some nolan stuff
people already forgot about his entire filmography

casablanco was considered a classic until 9/11/2001 then everything changed, now it isnt really a classic anymore just a sort of artifact of history which nobody can truly enjoy

It's already considered one of the greatest films ever made

What did he mean by this?

mulholland drive

>He has only seen the Dark Knight trilogy and Dunkirk

I like Moonlight but genuinely don't think it's going to have much longevity. You could argue it's already largely forgotten.

Mad Max: Fury Road
Spider-Man 2
Departures (2008)
Kong: Skull Island
Deadpool
Inglourious Basterds
Gone Girl
Whiplash
Drive
Hot Fuzz
Pacific Rim
Pan's Labyrinth
The Witch

No, it would have been just as bad with any other race.

>Casablanca

Hollywood propaganda of yesteryear

what are your favorite movies of the 2000's

>Batman v Superman

Even if you like this movie, you have to acknowledge it's not going to be "le hidden gem" in 20 years

Hopefully by then malick will get the respect he deserves as the greatest film maker ever.

There Will Be Blood
In The Mood For Love
Holy Motors
Mulholland Drive
Embrace of the Serpent
A Separation
Drive
The Master
Cosmopolis (it only takes someone to breakdown how genius this movie is, it'll probably happen after Cronenberg dies)
The Tree of Life
Post Tenebras Lux
Maybe Aferim, but probably 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days
Horse Money
Either Tabu or Arabian Nights (or some other Miguel Gomes movie)
Silence
Cosmos
If the Safdies get big, then Good Time
Some Sean Baker flick, probably Florida Project
Probably Whiplash or Nightcrawler.

Reminder to disregard the opinion of anyone who said a Refn or Malick movie

why

fag

>Pleb hating two of the biggest pleb filters
What a surprise

Mulholland Drive is objectively the best film ever made and will eventually be universally recognized as such.

>equating Refn with Malick
Holy shit check out this fucking pleb lmao

Forest Gump

You're right about Refn and only Refn

the first 20 minutes put me to sleep

Snowpiercer of course, with its deep and subtle social critique

>probably Whiplash or Nightcrawler
probably not
nice fucking list though

RICH PEOPLE BAD
POOR PEOPLE GOOD

>implying it isnt true

Go suck your bosses dick, maybe he'll give you a raise

I don't want them to become classics, but I think they'll. The rest of the list are mostly good movies that deserve it.

This movie was a huge wake up call for me, really made me think and reconsider everything.

>subtle
>deep
Imagine being this much of a retard.

Boy you fucking retards sure do love obvious bait

This movie of course

LOTR and Gran Torino. Nolan doesn't offer anything special.

shit mane

I see. I'm having trouble with The Master, love PTA, great score, beautiful imagery, professional acting yet I feel it just falls flat and that I don't care for any of the characters in the end. Seen it 3x now.

i was memeing along with him you fucking retard

Borat.

...

while technically impressive I always thought Gran Torino was written weirdly, where this old guy is meant to be really close to this asian family eventually, but he still calls them racial slurs, which is the kind of thing you do with mates your own age, or if you genuinely don't like someone and want them to fuck off, felt like it was directed by Sam Raimi

Nightcrawler
The VVitch

the Conjuring universe is the definitive horror franchise of the 2010s

yeah, just those two
fucking idiot

I didn't care only for Amy Adams. But it's not because people like it and think it's good that you HAVE to like it, maybe it didn't emotionally connect with you, and most PTA movies try to do that (at least the ones before TWBB, while I think Inherent Vice is the one I'm connected the most). But the key about liking the Master is the relationship of Joaquin's and PSH's characters, if you don't like their relationship, you'll dislike the movie, or you can see the characters as the freudian psyche elements, which also makes the movie interesting (Adams-Superego, Joaquin-Id, PSH-Ego).

fuck

You're a cranky little bunny, user.

Birdman
Drive
the tree of life
planet earth
LOTR
Pan's Labyrinth
The Social Network
Mulholland Drive
Something by Wes Anderson

>shit taste having, omni-pleb sperglords who can't name more than 5 movies form the 40's think that every piece of fedoracore trash of the last 17 years will be beloved and remembered in 7 decades

Pretty sure that wasn't actually the message. I mean inappropriate luxury is over the top, but at the same time it seemed obvious that the dude at the front only did what he had to to survive.

And eventually they change that which crashes the train and kills everyone.

TWBB and Mulholland Drive and The Ring are the only 21st century movies I actually like

> the shaggs
are they the girls whose dad locked them in a basement and didn't let them hear music, then they started a band?
