The worst finale in TV history?

The worst finale in TV history?

Vedderfags with the last laugh

without any doubt

>he didn't get it
It's okay.

depends what year is it?

You didn't get it either reddit

not sure how I feel.
>take a beloved character who has almost never done anything wrong
>literally fucks up the timeline in the bleakest way imaginable
my god.

>cooper comes back
>kills tulpa cooper
>gets warped back to the past
>tries to bring Lara to the future?
>artsy bullshit the whole season

I'm talking about the second to last though, ep17

It was fine. Cooper got overconfident, forgot the rules and attempted to "correct" the past.

Two episodes in one night ain't that bad though

LYNCHED

>A show that hasn't explained a goddamn thing all season
>Doesn't have a tidy ending
Reddit complains, but will still talk shit about people who complain they don't understand about the ending.

I completely expected Lynch to avoid ending on the note that everyone wanted which included explaining every single hanging plot line in 2 episodes.

Instead, he did the unexpected and actually have Cooper attempt to stop ALL of the problems that Twin Peaks was experiencing by going to the very start of it all and fucking up massively, just like he did in the old show.

God damn, circulations, repeats and infinity is really what Twin Peaks is all about.

more like best finale in history

>get a production budget
>don't go over said budget with Monica belluci dreams

Come on user, entertainment is all about fucking the audience over

Best series finale since The Sopranos.

No, dammit, I want to know every single thing about every single character.

What happened to Amanda Seyfried's tweaker husband? Why was Audrey so fat?

Lynched

Who's Audrey?

The milf waitress, how dare you she's a saint

Judy is infinity just like Jeffries showed him. It's very likely Cooper has been doing this for a while.

This. The final episode reflects the truth which is the bleak reality we live in. Episode 18 had them in the cars because that's the most familiar thing about that world, everything else is foreign. Lots of respect for Lynch.

quite the opposite

Cooper saved her, she woke up
The end

25 MORE YEARS FUCKERS

this

once he interfered with flashback Laura thing probably got fucked up

Woah, that actually makes the most sense.

The best thing you can have in this existence is a moment like that of Cooper and Diane finally finding one another. That's as good as it gets. They knew what they were getting themselves into.

>Directed by David Chase
it fits though

The Return was pointless. I'm angry that even Lynch fell for the "rehash a cult classic for free hype" meme, especially to do nothing interesting with it. Episode 8 could have existed outside the Twin Peaks name easily.

>yfw Lynch announces another Twin Peaks movie
>it takes place before season 3 and has nothing to do with the ending

can the grown-ups finally discuss the SUBTEXT of this DAVID LYNCH film please

Wait what? Doesnt it not air for another 30 minutes?

>What year is it?
My thoughts, too, Coop. Only right when you got up. How the hell did he not think to try figuring that out earlier?
>yfw he's possessing Richard from a better timeline who wasn't a total fuckup and eventually also became an FBI agent

You missed the most significant event in television history.

Imagine being this much of a normie brainlet.

All these normies expecting it to end in a nice neat little bow

David Lynch is a senile old hack.

>its a CHET DESMOND spinoff

>half an hour of driving

i didnt like how the time was spent on screen im a big fan of twin peakse but also a piece of Shti :(

> Literally IT WAS ALL A DREAM LMAO

What a fucking hack. I hope he never works again after this.

It's pretty great if you paid attention to S2+FWWM. Will get better upon rewatches.

I mean it was clearly intentionally unsatisfying but I wouldn't call it bad.

Cooper fucked up the timelines and its just showing how badly he fucked up. It leaves it open for another season or it just exists as statement on the futility of trying to bring all things to how they once were. I'm not saying you have to like it but did you really expect Lynch to do something more conventional?

DUDE IT WAS ALL A DREAM

this is what fucking children do when they dont know how to finish their story. people have no trouble figuring out what happened, they are just frustrated that he leaves so much plot unfinished just because LYNCHED.

What are you even talking about? None of it was a dream.

The 8 Jeffries pulled up is of course the symbol for infinity

>Cooper fucked up the timelines
It was all Diane's fault though

So in the end, it's about Cooper being unable to let go of the past? He creates opportunity for a happy end for everyone, but because he didn't want to let go of the Laura Palmer case, he traps himself, just like last time.

Did they go to an alternate world where history will still play out the same? Coop saved Laura, butt then Judy pulled her into the alternate reality where she forgot who she was and has lived there for the last 25 years?

Is that basically the gist of it all?

>we are living inside a dream

vedderfags were wrong though, because he does get his mind back

How the fuck do you think that's what I was implying? It's not a dream, but Coop fucked up. They can pick it up from there if they want, or they won't. Neither of that is really that awful, the main story itself was solved, this other stuff with Coop and Laura is basically just extra.

>shadow, take me down with you
>for the last time

>expecting closure from a lynch project

the ending was amazing. when laura screamed i had fucking chills.

No reddit poster. Watch the first scene of the show. If you don't get it then nothing will. Hint: He's not saving Laura out of the kindness of his heart.

Woke up,.. where

If you are satisfied with how the main story was "solved", you would applaud literal cuck porn if only Lynch had his name on it. So many years of mystery, and an irishman with a green hand saves the day. Bravo Lynch. Back to old folks house where you can discuss making movies while your brain is rotting away with ridley scott.

cooper fucked up when he didn't just go back to Janey-E and Sonny Jim.

The cut to black is the dream ending, when you realize its a dream it shuts down and you wake up

??????

Vederfags got btfo so hard, just like coop in the finale, they live in an alternate universe where vedder is expected to play his song in the last episode

>the two birds one stone line was never explained

What a shitty show.

DUDE LETS DITCH 99% OF OUR PLOTLINES IN FAVOUR OF TOTAL SILENCE
BRAVO LYNCH
god what an old stupid hack he is. should have just left us with dougie.

>Amanda Seyfried's tweaker husband?

He anhero because of the guilt he felt from killing Amanda

The stone is Laura. I'll let you figure out the rest.
Hint: It's not a figure of speech.

lol retard

Audreys not fat, stop disrespecting my twinpeaks waifu

That irish dude was great, you're out of your mind if you don't think a character like that is pure Twin Peaks, and regardless that's not the resolution I was referring to. It was solved by Coop going back and keeping Laura from being killed by Leland, leaving the town at peace.

Though of course Laura is taken by Judy and put into this alternate world so Coop tries to save her, giving them an opportunity to continue the story. I don't understand how that is so awful.

>He anhero because of the guilt he felt from killing Amanda
When did he do that?

It's a lot better if you treat Part 17 as the true finale and Part 18 as an extended coda setting up a potential season 4.

Literally what was the point of those characters?

>This is is the kind of people that watches the show
fucking reddit

Episode 15 or 14

Evil wins. America in its current state is evil.
Happy?

Can someone explain to me what happened with Audrey?

>you finally get to see an outraged reaction to a Lynch ending as it happens
This is history, boys

It's either that or Billy Zane to help fill in 18 hours. Imo, Lynch should've just ditched that and filled with whatever he is thinking of progressing the current episode 18 ending.

the dream is that all reality is a dream of the dreamer, that eyeless woman that Andy picked up from a few episodes ago, dont be stupid

It doesn't even fucking happen

Wouldnt Bobby be fucking distraught if that happened?

She's still in a coma

she chased after cooper and fell into the lodge

The only time we see Bobby again after that was when he walked in on Bob and Fist of the Irish fighting.

Did people expect Judy to be destroyed or something? You really think fucking mortals can stop a lodge spirit. lol retards.

And he didn't seem particularly upset as he would be if his daughter was murdered

I completely understand Lynch now. Fitting for him to be a transcendental meditator, as his work is about the moment and not the big picture. Twin Peaks is his master work, and the finale a fitting ending. I currently feel like I'm aimlessly floating, I feel in a completely surreal state. Working us up about the story and characters was him setting things up so he could pull the rug out from under us, like a more advanced version of Mulholland Drive. I don't even mind that he pulled the rug out from under me though. Initially I did, when the final moment happened... But now I am completely at peace and in marvel at the raw talent of David Lynch. Lynch has mastered the entire movement of surrealism, this is its peak (no pun intended). In 5 decades or so Lynch will be hailed as a master.

TLDR: LYNCHED

Lynch needed filler as he only planned for 8 episodes and suddenly got 10 more

do you expect her to text her dad after she dies?

So Judy was possessing Sarah the whole time? She was even more evil than Leland?

Contained. It's implied it came to earth after the bomb went off.

Is Judy that black ant looking thing that hawk said Frank doesn't want to ever know about?

Also, I guess log ladies conclusion makes sense now, coop fucked up.

but that was diane all along

Guys it's simple. Cooper altered the course of the timeline but he went and fucked up this version's Laura Palmer too by making her remember his original timeline. So Cooper was actually tricked into DOUBLING the garmonbozia yield of the Laura Palmer experiment that the lodge spirits conspired.

Absolute fucking drivel just like the entire season. Lynch had no direction of what he wanted to do at any point. It was all random nonsense

Do you expect that nobody would find out?

There is nothing that indicates she got murdered

He is upset and shot himself but he didnt say anything about killing Becky and the girl he was with even said whatever happened was her fault

We literally see a bullet holes from their trailer home. Come on man, the guy killed her.

the back ant symbol is the infinity symbol.

>mfw people are saying the liked the ending
you guys are being ironic right? like you didn't actually like this shit did you?

Why did Judy take Laura, though? Why did Judy care?

Remember that scene where they stopped for gas?

17 was legit good, 18 is more along the lines of "something interesting to think about"
