Bart vs. Lisa episodes or Bart/Lisa teamup episodes?

Bart vs. Lisa episodes or Bart/Lisa teamup episodes?

Draw Bart's mouth episodes.

Team ups are always better.

just post the porn already

Soon.

Sideshow Bob episodes.

This was one of those Oakley-Weinstein things: "Bart and Lisa, Super Sleuths team up to save the world."

Agreed. Any vs episode will end with Lisa winning and Bart apologising.

>I'm sorry that me being a better jazz musician upset you Lisa. You were right to break my arm and damage the tendons to the point I will never play again.

bump

what about vs. episodes that turn into teamup episodes because they realize they have a common goal.

Team ups are always better then rivalries IF there was a rivalry there in the first place

I have a thing for opposing forces working together

latter are better for the most part

yeah that one and the one with the restraining order were terrible, pretty much the only Bart vs Lisa episode that was good was the Hockey one

Team up is better

>Its a Homer vs Himself Episode

>Simpsons porn
Please god no

>not knowing about based croc

BART GET OUT IM PISS

Tracey ullman shorts were the height of the show and I will have no one tell me otherwise.

The shorts are great and the kids definitely feel most like real children there.

I think how they're characterized in the show is fine because half-hour Ullman shorts would probably just be a lot of screaming and the kids being assholes, but it's refreshing not to see them act/talk like adults or deliver sitcommy jokes.

>half-hour Ullman shorts would probably just be a lot of screaming and the kids being assholes

That sounds like Bob's Burgers.

...

O&W did a lot of dumb/cancerous things and I'm not exactly sure that their influence was good for the Simpsons.

Such as...?

I M NOT RL SKINER

I M A IMPOSTR

Speaking of team up episodes, am I the only one who's sad that we never got another episode like Raging Abe Simpson and His Grumbling Grandson in "The Curse of the Flying Hellfish"?

Frosty chocolate milkshakes

>still being mad over that episode

Don't care too much about canon in simpsons, and the episode becomes infinitely more enjoyable, IMO

Literally nothing wrong with that episode

Except that it forgets that Skinner's first name is Walter

Their 3F run was perfectly fine, IMO.

4F does have a couple "what" episodes, though. Still generally classic, though.

Team Up episodes are fun.
Vs episodes are either annoying or sad.

>they get less and less friendly with each season
It's kinda sad.

>we got a Vs episode where Lisa gets jealous of Bart and indirectly makes him lose his talent for azz
>instead of a team up episode where they form their own jazz duo

He was a drummer to set the beat. She's a sax player to work off that beat. They were PERFECT for each other. Why did they not do anything good with it?

That episode was so dumb. Lisa getting those animals home, and then one of them injures bart, felt so goddamn contrived and nonsensical.

Because Bart is doomed to live a crappy life with no future. Because every time he succeeds at something Lisa is jealous or Marge doesn't want him doing it.

But that's the dumbest thing. In the old Simpsons, the running joke that nobody but Lisa liked jazz in Springfield would have overridden it. She would have been fucking ecstatic that Bart had a talent for playing because that would mean she would have someone to play with.

What a waste of a good plot.

That's just how Lisa is now.
She wants to be a special snowflake that's better than everyone else.
She wants people to appreciate jazz and listen to it, but she can't stand the thought of anyone playing better than her.

I can even see how they'd put conflict into it. Bart and Lisa enter in a jazz competition, where he gets goaded into a drum-off with another drummer to Lisa's detriment. His selfishness almost costs them the win, but he sees how crushed she is by them almost losing out, so he vows to do his part by remembering what the drummer's job in the ensemble is: to set the beat and not take over the performance. He does so, and not only does he let Lisa shine he is able to showcase his own skills well enough to prove that he's just as vital to the ensemble as her. They go home with the trophy and a deeper appreciation for each other's skills.

Disgusting. I want the good character Lisa used to be back.

It's not so much that they get less and less friendly, it's just that their relationship now goes to extremes in both ways.

They used to switch between friendly and sibling rivalry.

Now their relationship switches between married couple and mortal enemies.

>steve vs hwoarang

>that time Lisa almost admitted she thinks Bart is cute

To be fair though, it's not just with Bart or about jazz. Like, there's an episode where Lisa helps Moe become a successful poet, and Moe takes credit for everything and pretends he did it all on his own. Which, admittedly, is kind of a shitty thing to do, but in general Moe has a pretty shitty life, so I'd say, just let him have his moment in the sun and be happy for him.

Of course, this is Lisa we're talking about, so naturally rather than being supportive of Moe anyway, she makes it all about her. In the end Moe does the right thing anyway, but she was pretty awful throughout, trying to guilt Moe into acknowledging her.

But I'll give the show credit, it is consistent like that. Whenever another character has success, she feels entitled to, rightfully or not (usually not), she always makes it all about her and often ruins things for the other character.

Oh god, when was that? I totally recall the scene you're talking about, but I can't place the episode.

Anyway, OP
>That episode where they became best friends
>Is actually pretty good

>Oh god, when was that? I totally recall the scene you're talking about, but I can't place the episode.
The episode where she pretends to be a college student

lisa would have been jealous in the old simpson too, but that would be a noral children reaction
In the old simpson there would have been some plot happening in the first part of the episode, to then develop to bart learning to play jazz.
At first lisa is delighted that he takes an interest in the same music that she likes, but as bart takes more and more attention away from her, especially since bart is a bad boy turned good at something so everybody congratulates him, while for lisa it's expected that she's good at things, she gets jealous and pissed.
Bart takes the chance to make fun of her, lisa gets mad and as an identity crisis, then she meets someone who gives her some life lesson, she decides to go back and play with bart, but he no longer cares about music and has some other interest. Or alternatively they both apologize and bart reveals he just wanted the attention but he never liked jazz.
meanwhile the original plot has been solved through wacky hijincks.

Outside of that (which by this point, isn't even that bad), what else did they do thats cancerous?

They were on the writing staff since Season 4 though and a lot of their favorite tropes can be seen early on.

>>we got a Vs episode where Lisa gets jealous of Bart and indirectly makes him lose his talent for azz

He had to apologise for it too though right?

As I recall, Lisa apologizes to him, and Bart says that it's no big deal as he didn't care that much about jazz.
