Literally did nothing wrong

Why don't the peasants of King's Landing revenge him?

Because the show writers are literal fucking hacks and that they needed Cersei to be in a strong position to face their darling Daenerys- if you havent noticed the past season has been nothing but two invincible forces going at it. Shit writing at its finest. Neither one can get hurt until its time.

>Why don't the peasants of King's Landing revenge him?
Seriously what the fuck

Because peasants rioting are not like watching dragons and zombies

Maybe he was the one who kept the peasants organised. So when he died, everything went to shit.
Or the writers simply forgot about that and ignored it for CGI dragons.
Which makes me think, will we ever see a normal guy telling Dany that she made Westeros worse for everyone? I mean she thinks she is god's gift to the planet and that the people are only waiting for her return but in fact I think most people hate the Targaryans or are indifferent.

Why didn't the Faith Militant?
The entire army of the church wasn't literally inside the church.

That's the whole problem with GoT now, it HAS to be fun, anime level writing.

Fuck off, Bernie.

In the books, Dany will be straight up villainous.
GRRM loves his reversal of fantasy tropes. Almost every decision he makes for his characters is based on subverting some classic trope.
Dany is the prophecized hero, but she'll turn out to be the bad guy. Leading an army of foreigners to rape and pillage and burning people and cities. All while claiming she's helping everyone and she's just taking what's already hers.

Of course she's super popular on the tv show, so D&D won't tarnish her image that badly

>she thinks she is god's gift to the planet
Isn't she though? Even the Messiah Jon Snow is madly in love with her.

well she's pretty much god of flame and shadow's chosen one

dude turn your brain off

It's funny how fast Jon and everybody else forgot about Ygritte and the fact that Daenerys is a major roastie, especially in the books

Does she believe the latter though? I always felt like her taking the throne was the only means of achieving her goal of going home and being accepted there, which was brought up in the beginning and right before she sailed for Westeros. Tyrion basically asked why bother going back to Westeros, when you can just keep playing God overseas.

If that were true, she could just chill on Dragonstone forever.

You really think everyone is just gonna sit there quietly when she's a Targ just chilling with 3 large dragons on the perimeter? They weren't even particularly fond when she had 0 dragons.

>3
she's gonna get Viserion back somehow, isn't she

No, but the thing with having three dragons is that you get to set the rules.
She started with the aggression.
She's the one trying to take everyone over.

With three dragons, Dragonstone would be impossible to take

ygritte died years ago and was fucking literal horses

>Why don't the peasants of King's Landing revenge him?
DUDE WHO REMEMBERS SEASON 6 LMAO

Are you sure you're not thinking of Aegon?

You're a Wikifag aren't you?

Aegon is there to show that Dany is fully of shit when she talks about merely "reclaiming her rightful place".
If she really did care about rights and laws, when she rolls up to Westeros and finds a Targ claimant that has a stronger claim than her own, she should be like "Oh ok then, go ahead then nephew, I'll help you out, my king".
But she won't.
Aegon and Dany will fight from the get go.
And she'll win because loldragons. She'll make some haughty claim about "real Targs don't burn" or whatever and then go back to trying to claim the rest of Westeros.

Aegon (fake or otherwise) is there to show that Dany wants to rule because she wants to rule.

Because that doesn't fit into the retarded and simplistic writing of course.

What? How are the High Sparrow and Bernie literally anything alike?

>old
>appeals to poor
>tells their followers they're gonna get their gibs
>secretly a fraud that is using everyone for power

If you're gonna use that firepower to defend Dragonstone when they inevitably come for you, might as well have just taken the throne by force already. Seems like a much better option at that point according to everyone but Tyrion and Cersei.

You just described every, even mildly, successful politician. Fucking retarded Americans

More importantly, the church has a massive fucking army, they're not all inside that building. Why don't they fight Cersei?

NO
TIME

Years had past already dude and one of the last memories of her was him trying to run back to his own people and her shooting his body full of arrows.

Worst character in the whole series. No point whatsoever in existing. Stupid dialogues meant to be #deep.

Literally this kack.

>Why don't the peasants of King's Landing revenge him?
They learned his true colors

>Leading an army of foreigners to rape and pillage and burning people and cities. All while claiming she's helping everyone
wow, wtf, that sounds exactly like american foreign policy...

>D&D is too retarded to get this

Same reason why the mad king was around as long as he was, fear.

>Leading an army of foreigners to rape and pillage and burning people and cities
Fuck off Sup Forums
>secretly a fraud that is using everyone for power
High Sparrow was not a fraud.

>Dany is literally leading an army of foreign "not-Mongols" that live exclusively by raping and pillaging
They're literally barbarians that don't even have agriculture.
And she's bring 100,000 of them without any way to feed them to Westeros. As winter is setting in.

>High Sparrow was not a fraud.
In the show he was

Same reason Christian Kings periodically told the Pope to fuck off and got excommunicated. They don't like someone else running things.

You know what, you're absolutely 100% right. What she should have done instead is buy every single mercenary in Westeros and people willing to join her side to do the raping and pillaging instead. Because that would have made it OK, as long as the dirty foreigners don't do it but the native born can rape and pillage as much as they want

However quick question, if she forbid the Iron born from raping and pillaging what makes you think the Dothraki would be allowed to do it?

No he wasn't, he was a man of his clothes and the fate.

The native born still need to live there afterwards.
That's the difference

Well no fucking shit. It's a story. Stories, no matter how convoluted, still adhere to formulaic structures. It's nearing the end of the story, shit happens.

No one would be surprised if Jon and Dany both die in tragic fashion, it's expected.

>Jon and Dany both live
>how expected, they're following all the cliches

>Jon and Dany both die
>how expected, they're just being edgy

There's no fucking winning with you people

Your point?

>D&D decide to turn the show into pure shit fan service with female power fantasy shit

>kill off the best written and best acted female character in favor of having a cringy shadow the hedghog tier arya stark

Did you just ask why this "plot" makes no sense?

You need to live with the people you raped and pillaged after.
Not literally them, but their neighbours and their cousins and what not.

There's always motivation to keep it a little civil because they could be attacking you later.
Foreign invaders, like vikings for example, rape and pillage with impunity because they'll just sail away.

>Foreign invaders, like vikings for example, rape and pillage with impunity because they'll just sail away.
>He doesn't know about Danelaw
And who cares that you need to live with them? Just kill or rape anyone who shows any sign of trouble and nobody will do anything.

How do you think conquest works?

avenge not revenge

because they expect those seven false gods to avenge him

that's how you see all the "GoT IS REALISTIC GUYS" is complete bullshit

in any actual realistic scenario with proper consequences killing him would have turned him into a martyr figure the peasants would have united around and risen up against Cercei

she should have been forced to retreat back to Casterly Rock while the capitol fell to the zealous horde

No one says GoT is realistic
People say ASoIaF is realistic though

>peasants rising up without leadership
There's a reason they are peasants

Zealous fury has incited largely leaderless rebellions in the past
and all it takes is one person finding himself in a leadership position, possibly someone close to the Sparrow for some legitimacy, and you've got cause, leadership and will

Also the idea of the nobility taking their games to far and inciting a full blown peasant revolt would be delicious.

Effective rebellion requires leadership

A chimp out does not

>Dany dies
>Jon refuses the throne, returns to the north and works on building relations with the free folk
>Gendry sits on the throne

there

Or the Seven Kingdoms as a unified place is dissolved and it goes back to seven actual kingdoms

I'd say it would go further than a chimp out
given how badly the peasants all over have been treated for the duration of the war, if the chimp out ends up with full peasant control over kings landing I could see half the peasants in the crownlands and a good amount close to it rising up

sure they'd be defeated by a proper army but not without effort nobody wants to spend

I think George is honestly leading the story to a total apocalypse.
There's just SO much fucking shit going on

>Greyscale plague introduced by JonCon
>Aegon's invasion with Golden Company
>Dany's invasion with Dothraki and dragons
>Euron's machinations
>Spread of the Red religion
>Faith Militant getting uppity
>Cersei as regent and also literally insane
>Night's Watch is leaderless and rebellious

And that's all without the actual White Walkers.
Westeros is totally fucked

Then you get the Mad king which is what she's trying not to be.

>dude lmao a medieval king totally could have destroyed the Vatican and killed the pope with zero consequences

Which is why she forbade the iron born and Dothraki from raping and pillaging

which should work about as well as forbidding a hurricane from destroying things

the Dothraki are going to pillage Westeros, it's a fact

What are they going to eat?
The Dothraki literally sustain themselves by pillaging their food.

Because if you kill the boss the minions disappear.

They spelled it out for you with the wights.

> Literally did nothing wrong
> Literally the Ayatollah of Westeros

In the books, the Sparrows were tough on the peasants too. It was a no fun allowed type of religious fanaticism that they would have gotten with Stannis, only a differeent religion.

God could you imagine the shit storm that would cause
Your family would be killed for at least three generations

he is tough on the peasants but also fair and as a result he gets a massive following

killing him without proving he is corrupt or something like that just makes people forget the bad qualities and only remember the good ones

it's literally the single most perfect way of creating a martyr, and history has proven more than once that martyrdom is a fantastic way of inducing religious fanaticism in a population

That's how it works tho. As soon as Theon kicked that guys ass, they all stopped their rape plans and instead are going to save Yara who forbids them from doing that stuff under her:)

i thought that it was just video game aoe aura logic

Beric literally says "Kill him and they all die"
If they kill the Night's King, it's an insta-win

I think they realized they are not up to the task of continuing the story so they decided kill characters/plotlines quickly to not have to juggle so much shit at once.

I SHUPPOSE BREATHING IS OFF THE TABLE?

I get a Litchking feel about the Night King. I'm pretty sure that Jon is going to end up taking his place or something like that.

>Hey now, these foreigners might literally organise their entire society on raping and pillaging you, but if you're racist to them, who's really the monster?

>Greyscale plague introduced by JonCon
Greyscale is already a sporadic disease though.

i hate women lads

>Greyscale is already a sporadic disease though.
Only in its weak childhood form that can be cured

He was the game of thrones version of a slightly less senile Bernie Sanders, the peasants didn't actually like him or care about him, only his following of insane brainwashed ideologues did, many of which like Lancel were highborn and the opposite of peasants.
