It was pretty fun and a teensy tiny bit of animated fx. Plus the nude pic at the end (which gets covered by the duck) is one of the storyboards we've already seen here on Sup Forums. (Amalia's nipples when she comes out of the water to sing).

I'm unimpressed. I was expecting an actual comic of Smug Duck's life before that scene or something; instead we get a low-budget Flash slideshow with Pinpin and Kim Ettinoff blabbering about how they came up with the duck's design.

In other news, they're running out of cash to properly finish season 3:

The production is still underway, and we will start the french dubbing for the first episodes of season 3 at the beginning of 2017. At the moment, we are still looking to secure some funding in order to finish the production of the remaining episodes with the same animation quality as the first episodes of season 3 we already finished. It takes time, but we are considering all our different options.

It's pretty depressing how Ankama have such great art but are so god awful at everything else. They're always fucking up their writing or business stuff.

Good artists aren't exactly good business men, so that's not surprising.
Writing has been pretty baffling as of late. While season 1 is not a flawless gem by any means, the faults of season 2 were surprising. They felt like first draft issues. Also, with it being a multi media franchise it loves to shove in stuff from other sources (Comics, lore, etc) that the story doesn't quite need. I also think that Ankama has notoriously bad foresight, meaning they don't plan ahead as well as one should (not trying to rap on them too hard because some shit is hard to forecast).
That being said, at least they're not like Bryke or whoever and try to make the show more than it is. Nox may not be an socialist/theocrat/anarchist/authoritarian, but he's a damn good character/villain anyway.
