Tammy Lee Grimes (January 30, 1934 – October 30, 2016) was an American actress and singer.

Though it's likely /co remembers her as the voice of Molly Grue from The Last Unicorn. Rest well, Miss Grimes, in a land where no cruelties happen.

F-Fuck. ;_;

Isn't the Last Unicorn Sup Forums though?

Rest in peace.

Sorry I only watch good things

Sup Forums than Sup Forums or /mlp/

Where have you been?
youtube.com/watch?v=YHvWmJREROY

Only so far as BtAS was Sup Forums

I guess her unicorn never came.

Fuck, this is making me legit sad.

>When the first breath of winter through the flowers is icing
>And you look to the north and a pale moon is rising
>And it seems like all is dying and would leave the world to mourn
>In the distance hear the laughter of the last unicorn

Jesus Christ, I just watched this movie the same day she died.

Hi guys, what's going on in this thread?

Fucking 2016.

>How dare you come to me now, when I am this!

My eyes welled up a bit just now.

...

Fuck off.

You seem salty, friend.

This.

Has it been a good year for anyone? Is there anyone out there who can honestly say, "Boy, 2016 has been great!"

I'm getting laid off just in time for Christmas, so no.

Me.
Everything seems to work out for me personally. Even Trump seems to win.

>Even Trump seems to win

You brought this on yourself.

>Even Trump seems to win.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE

Literally who?

>being this underage

Friendly reminder that anyone who hasn't watched this movie is missing out on some weird shit. Like titty trees.

And drunk skeletons.

The birds have tits too.

There's also wizards.

For what puropse though?

wasn't the movie animated by studio ghibli?

...

And pirate cats.

Too bad we never see Lady Amalthea's.

>human form
Disgusting

Christopher Lee was pretty good in this movie.

>"How dare you come to me now when I am this!"

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!
>Kevin Meaney (1957-2016), US actor/comedian whose genre credits include Big (1988), The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue (voice, 1997), Mad Jack the Pirate (voice, 1998) and Hey Monster, Hands Off My City (2014), died on 21 October aged 59.

He couldn't get the girl.

BEST CHARACTER COMING THROUGH

>he doesn't know Rankin-Bass when he sees it immediately

Actually, he is somewhat correct. The animation for this movie was done in Japan by many of the animators who would go on to form Studio Ghibli

Oh, this thread is MINE

Goddammit. GOD-DAMMIT.

Where were you when I was young and pure, user?

...

...

Fuck off tumblrfag

Rest in peace.

Bumping in her memory.

I love this movie so much.

We need to cure mortality so this kind of thing stops happening.

Oh. Oh no...

I totally agree with you. Somebody needs to make the nanotech medicine researchers stop dicking around.
Say, you aren't planning to turn humans into deathless unicorns, are you? We had to schism a new board over that sort of horseplay last time.

Your home is this way ---->

So, is Mia Farrow next?

>favorite show drops the ball so fucking hard and gets rid of best girl
Nope, this year is fucking terrible.

HAGGARD. HAGGARD, IT'S THE UNICORN. UUUNIICORN

No. This year's been awful

Sex with plants isn't illegal is it?

Her performance was awful though.

Not exactly, it was a co-production between Rankin/Bass, the guys who made the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer claymation special, and Top Craft, the studio that made Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind AKA: Studio Ghibli's first movie.

Top Craft actually split into two studios after Nausicaa was made and became a huge blockbuster.

One of the two studios were Walt Disney Animation Japan, which made some DTV shit for Disney and some TV shows.

The other studio was the legendary Studio Ghibli, which later on made movies like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.

That said, this is more Sup Forums maybe because of Rankin/Bass's involvement, Nausicaa is still Sup Forums maybe because of Hayao Miyazaki.

See above.

They basically just outsourced the unicorn. That's why the unicorn is hott instead of Rankin/Bass style. It works really well because she's supposed to be otherworldly and outside of the normal, ordinary universe around her.

Really? I always thought Top Craft did the entire thing.

And yes, her human form looks more like a Miyazaki character than the other characters, which look like they are the typical Rankin/Bass style.

I know the unicorn in her horse form was outsourced. I don't know if Lady Amalthea was.

Also, I forgot.

They actually split into three companies.

The third company was GAINAX, the creators of Neon Genesis Evangelion, FLCL, Gurren Lagann and Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.

Just watch the end credits. Basically all the animation was outsourced, but the character designs weren't.

It was outsourced to Top Craft. A Japanese company.

Character designs were done by Lester Abrams, the same guy who did character designs for the animated TV-movie versions of the Tolkien stuff.

Funnily enough, Peter S. Beagle wrote the screenplay for the theatrical animated Lord of the Rings.

Additional design work and storyboarding were done by Don Duga and Irra Duga.

An old fansite that doesn't exist anymore with some interesting info.

Translation of an article in Animage covering Topcraft's animation work:

Website for the dead live-action project. Apparently they had gotten Christopher Lee, Angela Lansbury and Rene Auberjonois back on board.

He even spoke the German synchro too.

While the thread is meant to mention the passing of Tammy Grimes, it's veered off into how depressing death is, how magical TLA is, and how 2016 has this constant litany of death and misery.
And on that note, did you ever read Tuck Everlasting as a kid? A girl finds a boy and his family has a secret- a spring that grants eternal life. It's usually on the required reading for some grade or another in primary school.

Natalie Zane Babbitt, writer of Tuck Everlasting passed away on October 31, 2016, at her home in Hamden, Connecticut. She had recently been diagnosed with lung cancer.

She should've drank the spring water

Dammit.

Anyone remember Flight of Dragons?

I remember.

May she finally meet that unicorn ;_;

First watched the movie because of you Sup Forums and I was bummed out for days.

it's like a mirror into the past.

That film remains my shit.
